Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has sparked controversy by saying a Palestinian state would provide "a national solution" for Israel's Arabs.

Politicians from the minority Arab community have demanded she clarify if it means that Arabs citizens will face loss of rights in Israel or expulsion.

Israeli politicians have long grappled with the issue of a growing proportion of ethnic Arabs in the Jewish state.

"Transfer" has been mooted explicitly only by far right-wingers in Israel.

so if this is what i think it is

if your not Jewish (doesnt matter if you were orgianly born in Israel but an immagrant) you have more rights to the country then people who were born and raised on the land.

looks like Israel taking lessons from the same people that treated them like Crap and killed off their relitives and family members for being Jewish.

I personally cannot see any justice for Palestinians in the near future.The only people who truly care about them have no power to help, and the Palestinians cannot fight their way out of the giant cages they are locked inside of.

People say this isn't a holocaust? Gaza is one giant concentration camp, as near as dammit.

How is what she stated here anything like a holocaust? I don't recall Adolph relenting a part of Germany for jews to live in. Have you even followed this issue? She is stating that she supports the two state solution, which was proposed by the Saudi's, and has been backed by UN, EU, and many of the arab states. All she has said regarding forcing arabs out is equivelant to I cut you your own piece of the pie, take it and leave my slice alone. This doesn't even cover the fact that under this "solution" Jerusalem will be shared by both parties, and will act as capital for both states.

Nor does this cover the fact that under the Union for the Mediterranean, borders will become obsolete. The rest of the Union is simply waiting for these two parties to resolve this issue. This also doesn't cover the fact that Israel has conceded every requirement set forth in the original deal, only to have the Palestineans come back and say they wanted more. To which Israel agreed to give up 5% of their own land. This also doesn't cover the PLO funding Hamas, who daily fire rockets into Gaza and other areas of Israel. I agree that what is happening in Gaza is an atrocity, but Hamas are the instigators, and unless the PLO decide to put Hamas in check, how can you blame Israel for retaliating? Yes Israel has put up sanctions and road blocks which I don't agree with because they hurt inocent people. Israel also though has declared to lift these and even provide relief funding to the area. However Palestine has done NOTHING to help faciltate peace and will not be happy until either every Israeli is dead or expelled from the area. This situation is truly horrible, but simply pointing a finger at one side and expecting them to give in is folly. One needs to look at the whole picture. This problem isn't one sided and to be critical of the side that was responding to a threat to them, while the other side aided the threat and continues to do nothing to resol.ve the matter deserves a big

Ok, i want to hope that this lame statement was done in order to make Livni "right-wing too". There are elections in february and Kadima party position is not good. Since it was supposed to be center party but public sees it as left they probably wanted to appeal to right voters too. And did very bad job.
Israeli Arab is Israeli citizen with same rights - ideally. There are a lot of problems but i would like to see someone trying to transfer Israeli Arab citizen from Israel. Even if politicians are crazy/stupid/immoral enough - high court will not allow it.
As for Israel equals Nazi state - i asked for proofs before and received none. So why keep using it? My guess is that one that calls Israel Nazi state will not call Saudi Arabia Nazi state - even though Jew is not allowed to be there and US politicians of Jewish origin had to receive special permits. Not to mention that praying is not allowed. By the way - there were a lot of Jewish communities in the territory of Saudi Arabia. Non-European. How many are now? But ethnic cleansing is done in Israel of course. Where Arabic population is growing faster then Jewish. Both Palestinians and Israeli Arabs.

My response, is Judaism a religion or a race? Would a convert have the same rights as one born of a Jewish mother?

You also know that Sephardi and Mizrahi make up less than 10% of the Jewish Israeli population and are treated as second class citizens by the European Askhenazi majority. Israel is an apartheid state.

Actually in 1996 47% of Israeli Jewish population and i think it is more now.

And as for Judaism/Jew/converts - yes convert is supposed to be a Jew without any discrimination. In ancient times and naturally now. The problem is that the process is made sometimes very humiliating by over-zealots Rabbis but it is different story. And Jew is either convert or born to Jewish mother. It is not that complex.

Actually the Sephardi population combined with Mizrahi is the majority Jewish population now in Israel. The pro terror bloc who just love to demonise Israel as a European colonial settlement are obviously anti s, s, s, s, something or other!

I think you are confused, you included your comment with my words. When you click the quote icon you are only meant to put the other person's words without your comments. You put your comments outside the quotations.

Further you say ProArab are something bad. I am pro-justice and Palestinians have right on their side. Any allowances given to Israel by people like me is out of pragmatism but unfortunately it is devoid of moral imperatives other than the human rights of Israeli born and raised there.

So what would the solution be? I think Israel as it exists is doomed. If Iran gets the bomb, Israel's nuclear arsenal will be frozen in a MAD policy. Socially and culturally, Israel will drown in pornography and corruption. A country involved in occupation and suppression eats itself in the end and I also think Israel is incapable of existing without a permanent state of tension. The side effect is a neuritic and terminally hedonistic population.

Get your facts right. Separdi and Mizrahi combined are majority of Jewish population, not 10%. People of European background are a minority in Israel. Your imagination runs wild regarding Ashkenazi holding down Separdi, your propaganda as Zero points out is fifty years old and more.

So what!? The issue at hand is the Israeli problem. I really don't care about the racial nuances of immigrants who are ethnic cleansing the indigenous population. That is not what matters now. The world needs to resolve the problem.

It was you who tried to define Israel as a nation of European immigrants in the usual manner of the anti Israel brigade and dropped to the ethno level in your theories!
