*Lights one, last ciggarett and prepares to type*

I JUST got done reading EVERY post currenty in this thread. I have a couple of things to say. (I hope somone doesnt post while I am typing this...xD Make me a liar...)

US Psy-ops teams posting on message boards is very very probable.
If you ask me, they've already infected this place when it came up on radar. Simply put.

That being said, we need a definet way to sort out the danger, and even, destroy them with counter tactics. (These can be discussed later.) I can recomend my own thread "Code/Crypt". Its a good start. One of the only ways I see to communicate, truely, without worries for pourposes of this site.

I suggest this. Anti-propoganda. Or should I say, Counter...propoganda...
I recommed weeding out bots and spies on this website any many others. How about... All the humans would post a single lined message at the start of their posts. Code...
xD Of course, now we can't use THAT particular way... I've already posted it, where it can be cracked and used against our cause... Something to that affect, however...
I say we start posting subliminal messaging of our own....Everywhere... Without pattern, or reason. Every HUMAN can already think of hundreds of ways to quietly advertise and do our job.
Everyone who is on the side knows it. And will do their best to help.
Peace and love.

Such as?...Posting relevant ideas and suggestions, good quality reading with a positive message behind it.

What kind of cigarette was it that you smoked? I'm having difficulty making sense of this. I will say this though- you have a very limited understanding of what it is that PSYOP units actually do.

Where did I say "truecolours thinks Im part of a US Psy-ops team"?

No I didnt say that? So what are you going on about?

I was referring to other people

Maybe you are and you're arguing with your own alter profile about it, hmm. LOL. He who smelt it dealt it, maybe the poster of the USAF Poster on this thread is the culprit, sounding the alarm to find out what is known about them. The USAF Poster may be false but the policy isn't. No Service member is to speak ill of the Commander In Cheif or the Service as a whole, and they are certainly not to reveal classified knowledge, to do so is punishable by Court Martial...so no active service member will be caught on camera, tape, internet, quoted in the paper, what have you, saying anything but praise or debreifed rhetoric about anything of the sort. Unless, they are a moron. They may be discovered and reported by anyone, anywhere, and at anytime. Really think, short of being stupid, these experts and knowledgeable members would reveal anything or give not so raving reviews, unless, it was ordered or authorized to do so. Surely, such idiots who would don't pass extensive evaluations, monitoring, and psycho;ogical profile assesments as would land them any real substantial position to put them in the know or they'd know the very real risks involved. As for being transparent..that's a disinfo ploy to det you to admit who you are-- as for internet aspects, remember, electronic signatures and the like are admissable in Court. You agreed to the internet operating system, ISP, and site agreements, didn't you. Only a fool would acknowledge who they are if they have something damning to say. And they military would never encourage you to directly link them to a potential scandal through you which such transparency could make difficult to distance themselves from, unless they are idiots too.

Of course there are these teams on the net. Some of them are here too.

The two main ways of supressing the truth are death and ridicule.

You can't kill anyone on ATS...

But you can say, "Reptilians!
" without stating why you think it's humourous...

US army psy-ops teams

I have always thought that the 'psy-ops teams' from the US Army were about 'psychics'. I could be wrong, but I do hope that other members can think of the thruth.

PSYOP has nothing to do with psychics. Think of it more like advertising, but instead of selling widgets, the intent is to sell ideas.

here's a link that helps give you a general idea of the scope of activity(and limitations)

www.psywarrior.com...

here's another link that will provide some more insight.

www.fas.org...

This is a key aspect of PSYOP, that many here are misinformed about-

Presidential executive order. DOD implementation policies of Executive Order S-12333, United States Intelligence Activities; DOD Instructions S-3321.1, (S) Overt Psychological Operations Conducted by the Military Services in Peacetime and in Contingencies Short of Declared War (U); and National Security Decision Directive (NSDD) 130, U.S. International Information Policy, direct that U.S. PSYOP forces will not target U.S. citizens at any time, in any location globally, or under any circumstances. However, commanders may use PSYOP forces to provide public information to U.S. audiences during times of disaster or crisis. The precedent for the limited use of PSYOP forces to present public information to a U.S. audience was set during the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Tactical Psychological Operations teams (TPTs) were employed to disseminate information by loudspeaker on locations of relief shelters and facilities. Information support to a noncombatant evacuation operation (NEO) by PSYOP forces to provide evacuation information to U.S. and third-country nationals would also adhere to the order.

Excellent point about how most people here respond to video - look, look, shiiiinyyyy...

As someone who values the power of words I've become quite disillusioned with responses to a cogent argument. Many posters can't read what's in front of them. It's astonishing.

On a broader note, there was a thing about "fighting the net" and full spectrum dominance released way back in 2001. Probably went on before then, too, but it was certainly codified by the time Rumsfeld was Defense Secretary.

And disinfo guys... well, I've got my eye on a couple of people, not that there's anything you can do except recognise them.

Been thinking a bit more about this.

Everyone's nailed the obvious topic for this kind of activity, which is 9/11.

There are a couple of other topics which might be relevant - Israel and Iran.

The US supports Israel, and it is an emotive issue, but sometimes I wonder whether some of the people posting on the topic are sincere.

Likewise Iran. I posted on a thread a little while ago which was more of the usual fearmongering guff about Iran getting nukes. The referenced article didn't support the case (hardly surprising, as it was NewsMax, which is to truth as Michael Jackson is to child care) and I was able to dispel the notion that Mohammed ElBaradei had said Iran could get nukes by the simple expedient of going to the IAEA website and posting the speech he'd made. This was followed by a recent reference to show that IAEA inspectors were still in Iran.

I can't help wondering if some of the threads on that subject are not merely the flatulence of mindless dittoheads (or, to put it another way, right wing authoritarians) but perhaps indicate the activity of darker forces.

Im trying to read alot on ATS and not post to much yet as I don't feel very knowledgeable about alot of the topics and want to know more before I partake more. However I have an opinion and a bit of info about the topic of the thread I want to focus on.

Would like you good people to have a look at a thread im currently posting on at ATS, and just give me your opinion if there are people here who are falling under the cathegory of people you are talking about.

US Military.... why?

I'm thinking that I'm going to post my replys on any topic the same no matter if it is psyop or not. If it is, other people can see my views. If it's not then we're having a successfull exchange of opinions.

P.S: I'd like to apologize about any typographical mistakes in my posts as I am not a native english linguist

Infact as my previous posts on here, this op included on this subject I showed in that Story that infact the US military Psy Ops had changed a lot and added much you tube footage from Iraq, after I posted it as part of my response to some posters comments.

I though having shown that, and if you read this entire thread (this one) with some of my links to where I have found Chinese Psy Ops on Ats , found NONE of those posts where Psy ops in that thread you mention my friend.

The outside influence on You Tube obviously happened as I had posted Vids there, and showed the change and additions on Youtube next day, but not on THAT thread as such.

The rest of THAT thread was very heated debate from ex servicemen, and myself being an ardent pacifist, and campaigner against the training of the US military in recent years from Soldiers and Warriors into unfortunately as I showed in the linked Vids to ON Occasions not heroes anymore.

You are on the right track, read this entire thread in depth at my posts, read the links I post to the Tibet/China and other Manipulation threads, read the info on this one in full, but THAT thread I feel is the real deal.

Kind Regards,

Elf

If you see something on youtube, it's an individual posting, not an official Military act.

Great link, btw - fas can be an excellent source.

The thing is, though, we know full well that while it may not be official policy to target US citizens, it nonetheless happens.

MKULTRA certainly targeted civilians. What else goes on that hasn't come out?

The most obvious example of "aboveground" PSYOPS recently has been the effort to portray the disaster in Iraq as necessary for, and then beneficial to, the people of Iraq. This stuff has been squarely aimed at the folks at home to keep them "on side" in a (to say the least) dubious conflict.

You know, if you really want to find some good candidates for PSYOP posters on here, you could do worse than scrutinising those posters who were trying to make out how wonderfully the reconstruction was going.

However, I'd say the most devastating PSYOP - which may not have been official, but was nonetheless a classic of its kind - was the anthrax attacks.

They came just after 9/11. I kept hearing on the news the phrase "believed to be the work of foreign terrorists" and I was frankly incredulous that no-one seemed to be asking "believed by whom, exactly?" and "what evidence is there for this belief?"

The country panicked. Sales of cipro went through the roof - someone made a profit - and likewise duct tape and plastic sheeting if memory serves.

As a Brit, used to US-sponsored terrorism (I narrowly escaped being blown up by an IRA bomb once, but, you know, life goes on), I found it all faintly ludicrous. And, of course, very impressive. With a minimum of actual attacks, the whole country had been thrown into a panic, just as the shock of 9.11 was wearing off and just as the PATRIOT Act was being pushed through.

Sure enough, following the story closely, it turned out that it wasn't the work of foreign terrorists after all, but you'd have to scrutinise the news pretty closely to know it. No, the anthrax came from Fort Detrick, and as soon as it was narrowed down to being the Ames strain, all the samples held there were destroyed, preventing any genetic matching. Whoops! Oh well.

And of course it narrowed in on Stephen Hatfill, who was my favourite "person of interest" as well as the FBI's... and then it all went quiet again. Later, some other poor schmoe topped himself and Hatfill went on to collect a massive payout for being falsely accused.

REally? Yes, really.

Can anyone think of another case in which someone's been falsely accused ot something, not even taken to court, and got a massive payout as a result?

Something fishy there? I'd say so.

So, yes, the anthrax attacks get the rich23 prize for Best Domestic PSYOP of 2001.

Unless you count 9/11 itself, of course.

Thanks for your post Rich23. I was going to point out the same passage you did, but instead point to the Feds' use of PSYOP against the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas.

The FBI and the BATF played sounds of rabbits being slaughtered over loud speakers. Another prime example of PSYOP being used against US citizens.

Here are 2 excellent videos on Waco for those not too familiar with the incident. (GoogleVid)

Waco: Rules of Engagement

Waco:A New Revelation

Don't confuse PSYOP with a PSYACT. Any number of things can be the latter, but aren't necessarily PSYOP.

Yeah...I agree

some breakthrough informati0n regarding covert hypnosis was posted by an activist a few years ago, some of the same information.. as used in the psy-ops sections of the School of the America's - propagation of this information would make it more difficult to maniupalte anyone who had read the pages...

Now when you google the keywords, it is difficult to even find the original pages, and literally hundreds of cheesy 'commercial' sites pop up...

Covert Hypnosis - The Confusion Technique

The ONLY defense against psychological manipulation is tofamiliarize onself with the techniques being used... (paraphrased from George Estabrooks and LeCron)

If you want to compare what is REALLY going on with the contrived apparency on any chat board, meet with a few friends face to face and compare notes about what YOU GUYS AND GALS THINK,,, you will be surprised...

Compare that to the apparency created online...

And yea I am convinced there are mil psyops here on ATS... as well as commerical PR interests... as I have friend who works for one of those PR firms and does that stuff..

And sure appears that Surf's UP!

The driving force behind the acceleration of events is due entirely to the propagation of truth. As generations of lies are shown to be what they are, their ability to modulate social conduct evaporates..

Confidence in societal institutions is falling as these inconvenient truths propagate through society like shockwaves from a blast.

My 1861 unabridged defines "apocalypse" as "when all secrets are revealed"
This is the real "shock and awe"

How does it feel to be surfers on the event horizon of the apocalypse??

And to the PsyOps - How does it feel to be a stick in the mud?

---------------------

words of warning by physicist Robert Oppenheimer.. about the dangers of psychological manipulation...when he was a guest speaker to the American Psychological Association in 1955 - this text was not on the web.. grabbed from a footnote on page 214 from a good article in The Journal of Atomic Scientists..LINK

"In the last ten years physicists have been extraordinarily noisy about the immense powers, largely through their efforts, but through other efforts as well have come into the possession of man, powers notably and strikingly for very large scale and dreadful destruction. We have spoken of our responsibilities and our obligations to society in terms that sound very provincial, because the psychologist can hardly do anything without realizing that for him the acquisition of knowledge opens up the most terrifying prospects of controlling what people do and how they feel. This is true for all of you who are engaged in practice, and as the corpus of psychology gains in certitude and subtlety and skill. I can see that the physicists pleas that what he discovers be used with humanity and be used wisely will seem trivial compared to those pleas which you will have to make and for which you will be responsible."
