You got it.
sheople will go about there every day lives picking up bits of truth here and there, only wanting to hear what they believe or think they know. With this they will run, no matter what.
Believe me I am one.
That's why I say slow down.. This place has been here for billions of years..To think we can destroy it in a few hundred years is exciting, but naive and arrogant.

Well...well...somebody finally stood up to the evil, corrupt, & deceptive Al Gore Jr. I for one am glad to see this!

Gore is all about the MONEY. Callousness knows no bounds. He could care less about the demise of a cricket or a lowly frog. He & his family live behind a wall of non-disclosure, literally. His home outside of Nashville is massive & is a virtual fortress. It uses 3x the energy of the average American family home.

The Gore "neighbourhood" is so exclusive & privileged, NO tour vans nor buses are allowed. Police are on patrol to make sure, not just to keep people out, but hand out tickets & high fines as well. I know this for a fact, as I was in the city 3 months ago, & my tour guide told me.

Gore comes from a long line of privileged family, & he intends to perpetuate it. It seems that Gore set out years ago to remake the family image, only his super-ego has painted something akin to "The Scream."

In my personal opinion there is one bottom line..."Madman."

In my opinion, anything being pushed at the public through the media has some agenda behind it and should be ignored or avoided. You will rarely see or hear the 'truth' and if you do, it'll probably be twisted to meet someone's agenda.

This is the reason why I came to the conclusion that global warming was a scam.

Just this week I started seeing previews for a show called "Planet in Peril" and it's sponsored by Dow Chemical. That is so laughable I spit my coffee across the room when I saw it. Dow Chemical is one of the companies responsible for destroying this planet so I'm sure there's an agenda behind this one.

Here's the link: www.cnn.com...

This winter WHERE? It's summer where I am, and it's a wet and cool summer.

The relevant term is "global", so on average, the globe gets hotter. This doesn't mean that some parts might get colder, though, some parts will. Others will get wetter, others dryer. Some will have earlier and wetter summers, and others might have later and dryer summers. Or winters. Maybe your summer was unusually cool? Or hot? Perhaps shorter than usual, or maybe longer?

Overall, the globe gets warmer. Locally, where ever you are, the climate is likely to change. Maybe just a bit, maybe a lot. It'll vary depending on where (and when) you are. Just like it always has, like it always will. But humans changing the concentration of gases in the atmosphere and the very albedo of the planet might have caused the changes to become more rapid. Changing big things by even a little bit causes other changes.

And if rising seas don't worry you, think about what's on the coasts. About half the human race...

I for one would be more inclined to bring to civil suit for the output of Volcanic eruptions, deep sea methane seeps, and farm animals that emit environmental emissions. Human produced carbon emissions are just a minor portion, about 23% more or less accountable. Unbalanced salinity in ocean conveyor systems are more troublesome. It is known that temperature of ocean water in volcanic regions,"Pacific Ring of Fire", are a major source of weather changes,"La Niña", "El Niño". We all know ,when Al Gore shoots his mouth off, we should have ear plugs and translators handy for his dubious eco-speek.

If you link is correct your source is meetup.com?

About as valid as The Onion.

The fact is, this is totally baseless, and no one can sue for watching a movie.

Yes global warming can result in getting colder. Global warming means just that, global. But on a regional level our weather systems are what dictate precipitation, wind, temerature on a global level. By some areas of the planet getting hotter they disrupt 'normal' air and water currents and alter what we get a weather. (This is why England is so much more 'temperate' than Winnipeg, Canada which is at roughly the same latitude). If fact an increase in temperature could actually trigger another ice age in some parts of the planet (I hate to use Holleywood as an example but this was shown on film a few years ago (I forget the movie name cause it wasn't that good)

It's about time people started wising up to his crap. Pollution is bound to have some effect on our environment, but Gore with his "The Sky is Falling" routine has gotten old. His hypocrisy ranks right up there with the worst of hypocrites in every aspect of this issue. The man is a tool.

Why do they even need to prove its bogus?
When it has never been proven to be real in the first place?
How come you have to disprove something, that isn't proven?

When will the idea of the difference between weather and climate actually be understood. Why do so many people write about their weather and say that the climate scientists must be talking rubbish? Just because it is snowing in areas where snow is unusual does not mean that the climate is not warming. In like manner just because there happens to be a year of drought in Australia does not mean that the climate is warming. Weather is a relatively short term event on the regional scale, although it can be forced by global phenomona like el Nino, where-as climate is a long term global scale affect.

Please can people comment on the climate rather than the weather all the time.

The number of scientists involved is "30,000". A few facts from the (Dec. 15th) Washington Times are:
1.For the 1st time since the 18th century, Alaskan glaciers grew instead of retreating
2. In Fairbanks, Alaska,October was the 4th coldest in 104 years of record
3 in Reading, Pa. the temp stayed below 40 degrees for 6 consecutive days-the longest Nov. cold spell there since 1903.
4. A preliminary est. by the British Met office says 2008 will be the coldest of the last 10 years. The extent of global sea ice is at the same level it was in 1980. The mean planetary temp as monitored by satellite also is the same as 1980.
5.London experience its 1st snowfall since 1934 and Ireland went through the coldest Oct. in the last 70 year.
"Our advanced civilization is being systematically mismanaged by technologically illiterate lawyers responding to political pressures from irrational fanatics."

"I believe for a carbon company to spend money convincing the stock-buying public that the risk from the global climate crisis is not that great represents a form of stock fraud because they are misrepresenting a material fact," he said. "I hope these state attorney generals around the country will take some action on that."

which was quoted from Al Gore by Anthony Gregory in the article Distrusting Climate Change Globalism 10/23/09 on Campaign for Liberty

Gore thinks people who don't agree with him should be sued for manipulating the stock market.

Gore is wrong whether you call it global warming or climate change, He is wrong, he is evil and a crook. He is trying to hoodwink the world and using the monopoly his elite bosses have on the media to represents his theories as facts. He deserves to be shown up and overthrown.

If the graphs are colorful enough, and the soundtrack motivating enough,
and the speakers tone is warm and convincing, if the images are alarming and directional, if the production tools and post production edits are dynamic , leading, and "take" the viewer down that mental pathway from skeptic to believer, and if the "message" is delivered with frequency and urgency..................many will have known it to be factual and defend it blindly, at the least until a better movie comes along that resonates to their new position, global poverty, caused by, global warming, caused by ignoble warring.
I wonder, do they realize if "they" got all they wanted, do they not see they'd lose all they have?

As far as I'm concerned, anyone who has stocks in the products that will benefit from the crisis they are pushing, are nothing more than snake oil salesmen like from the days of yore.

Except back in those days, snake oil salesmen never received Nobel Peace Prizes and Oscars. My how the world has evolved, NOT!!
