What do you think are some possible Alien Motives?

I agree with the ones that say we cannot understand the motives of these visitors as they are so technologically advanced, we are mere apes to them. Tell a man that smoking will kill him and he`ll still smoke. They probably wouldn`t understand that kind of human `intelligence'...
I also agree that intelligent life is so rare in the univerese that we must be of interest to aliens and that we are probably related distantly to some species. They are generally humanoid in appearance and thus cannot be too far removed from a `common gene pool`.
We can`t `join the party` as we are essentially untrustworthy primative, warlike, self-centred savages. You don`t have to pay someone very much to bomb women and children in the name of `national security/war`. Says it all really. We`re destroying the Earth at a rate of knots too, why should they bother invade? They`ll inherit `The garden of Eden` when we`re gone.....

Because I always think about how we use 5% of our brain, and I think a lot of answers can be solved by thinking!

Thinking and knowledge are intertwined. You might want to read up on our brain use. This 5-10% usage thing is a cultural myth.

As to the OP, I'm going to say alien motives are knowledge acquisition. One could make an argument that the US went to the moon to beat the Soviets and win the space race. Motive = beating commies.

However, IMO our species would have made it to the moon regardless. We are curious animal and that curiousity has led to our current understanding of reality. If you aren't looking for answers, then you probably aren't an intelligent species.

this may be ridiculous for some of you... but sometimes I think, what if they collect information based in our media also? What if they dont have the concept of "acting" and they see our "fiction" as part of our real history?

Imagine an alien gets hold of a movie, say, any alien movie that we basically kick their butts and interpret them as real...

Would they really want to visit us seeing what is our history about? The technology we have? (in the movies)... will they prefer to search for the Enterprise then to actual visit us on our planet? Are they still waiting for that "enterprise" or "babylon 5" to arrive?

Weird ideas I have sometimes... but sometimes I actually think "what if aliens think that all our fiction is actually documented history about real events"...

Like I said, sometimes I have these crazy ideas and this forum is good for talking about them without being *too* bashed...

To deal with the renegades running the show on this planet and we need to get out of their way, and act cooperatively. Thats my take on this situation.

I believe there are many motives as there are many species from many planets.

Now the reason I believe they haven't made contact with the mass public is, that there is a supreme race. Imagine how we experiment and "Play God", now picture a species that is the supreme rulers of the universe because they are what we picture God to be. They come across this planet making contact with the original inhabitants who now live underground. Over time they start to "Play God" with a species on planet earth. They hyper-evolve us since they are God like and then study us and our reaction to the Universe.

Like the Ying and Yang there would have to be an Evil species of similar caliber. I believe there the reason all the dinosaurs died and possible the Ice Age that followed is because of them, and I also believe that's how the original inhabitants went underground. From there I believe they have been in contact with the supreme rulers and know not to reveal to us what the truths are but to live freely.

I believe this cause of experiences I've had in my life, that and it seemed to make logical sense as to how we evolved so fast.

uh!...to each our own ideas.

Motives? How about conquest of a planet. How about a cheap (and dumb) labor and food source.

The reptilians are the Controlling Factor. One cannot understand why there is constant strife, tragedy and turmoil in the world without first realizing that the human race is under the control and domination of a Cruel and Remorseless Intelligence.

I will elaborate on some themes that Icke had brought up. The draco-reptilians ARE in control. Despite Icke's information exposing the ruling reptilian bloodlines, there persists this feeling amongst many that the reptilian overlordship doesn't have any direct impact in their own lives.

Some people are willing to believe that the British Royal Family and the so called Eastern Establishment are reptilian-human hybrids but they are unable or unwilling to see how their quality of life has been eroded by these same reptilian-human hybrids. Policies are initiated by these reptilians which are then passed down through successive lower echelon underlings who take the necessary actions.

The end result is all around us: The quality of life (QOL) has been severely degraded for the vast majority of humans on the surface. This was entirely predictable. And these lizard creatures leave their phallic symbols all over the place just to rub it in our collective face. I'm seeing more and more Obelisk at SHOPPING MALLS these days.

I will say this more than once during this treatise: 98% of all Americans are dead or broke by the age of 65 and even that wasn't good enough for the Illuminati. The minimum retirement age in America is now 70. This is why you see senior citizens working in Fast Food Restaurants. Its not because they are "bored and have nothing better to do." Its because they enjoy having things like a roof over their heads and food to eat. Virtually every decision people make is predicated on Time and Money or rather, the lack thereof. It is absolutely essential for the reader to understand this.

This was all planned and it was planned by an inhuman intelligence that thinks ahead in terms of decades and centuries unlike most Americans who can see no further than the next paycheck. People are too busy trying to eke out a subsistence existence and consequently lack the time or the intellectual capacity to ponder the truly important questions in life like... why is it so hard to get ahead in this world?

Television shows like "Leave it to Beaver" and the "Ozzie and Harriet Show" accurately portrayed the lifestyle of an American family in the 1950's and early 1960's. Ward Cleaver was the sole breadwinner in the family while his June wife stayed home and raised two well adjusted kids. Everything in the home was bought and paid for.

Back then people paid for Goods and Services IN CASH. Contrast that with what is happening today. Americans are up to their eyeballs in consumer debt. Business Journals are now describing "The Four Income Family" with both parents holding two jobs. This is already happening in places like Hawaii where the cost of living is outrageous. Meanwhile what is happening to the young children of the working parents?

Often as not they are shunted off to day care centers to be raised by strangers. Business journals have stated for the record that in order to retire with any sort of dignity and quality of life, we must each have saved a minimum of ONE MILLION DOLLARS unencumbered by debt. How's everyone doing so far?

The # 1 cause of Divorce in this country is the STRESS and UNHAPPINESS generated within the relationship by DEBT and the Lack of Money. One of the major causes of illnesses in this country is STRESS created by DEBT and the Lack of Money. But mere statistics can never tell the real story.
