I hope that your relitives have managed to stay out of this mess.

Everyone crying for specops intervention from the west, needs to pause and take a good long look at the scale of this situation.

Dealing with a single attacker holed up with a hostage takes a SWAT team. Taking down an embassy in London took an SAS platoon.

Taking 3-4 separate targets, with 2 of them being huge hotel complexes would take at least 2 battalions of well trained troops with support. There isn't enough Deltas and SAS combined to do the job with their normal efficiency.

For example SAS normally keeps a comppany in its ready response... responging to this would require them to gather troops from leaves and other operations. Leaving UK exposed and other operational theathers without SAS support.

At most we will see some seasoned tactical officers consulting Indian CT and SF troops.

But we will see a strong response against Pakistani military leadership and especially ISI (security servicy) by US and UK (and others)

My family are apparently safe, otherwise I would know the bad news by now. I assume that part of the family were not in that part of the city when it happened and hopefully stayed indoors.

I'm more concerned with the myriad of people who i befriended from various shop keepers, bar owners and other people who i met along my travels. It's hard to contact them all.... But thanks

I wasn't replying to what you had posted, and definitely not trying to argue, but even on CNN they are listing the numbers of dead constantly. But I don't agree with taking ownership of these horrible tragedies. ALL innocent life lost in the middle of battles and disagreements between two evil parties is a loss for all of us who just try to live and let live.

Not really. Look for it on the news channels. Big dude, tucked in black t shirt and a baseball hat. Messing around in some room with a lot of blood.

Possible that the Taj siege is indeed over and the last injured terrorists has been 'nabbed' by forces.

Although conflicting reports suggest that we should keep an open mind here.

I agree that the scale of this attack compared with the population of India and all the good citizens and capable citizens right there locally, makes bringing in spec ops for a few tourists sound nuts.

Don't you think that this will only escalate things and endanger more people in the long run?

I think that white guy you keep seeing in the footage is Jack Bauer.

And the escalation just makes the whole thing more smelly to me. This is just like a movie, it's very staged. Very Charlies's War very Wag the Dog ... very Rove a coordinated attack in India (that doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving) to dominate the US media on a day when only US markets are closed.

It's sick and horrific for the people lost and injured and their families from all the countries involved but especially India. India clearly has more faith in human nature than Rove and his kind deserves.

All the news sources are surprised at an attack like this now - surely if it were not conspired by manipulating forces it would have happened when tensions were worse then they are now.

This should be looked at to see if this conspiracy theory has any legs - and if it does, it should be spread everywhere before nations end up with another war - against Pakistan - like the world did with Afghanistan and Iraq after 9/11, Madrid and London attacks.

I just had a thought!

If the US does send some special forces guy over I wonder if they'll jump on the top secret hyper-sonic aircraft they got tucked away for incidents JUST like this?

We should keep an eye out for those donut shaped contrails it makes.

Just a theory of mine looking at this from a spiritual point of view and don't expect everyone to agree, but to give insight from another angle, everyone has used the Conspiracy word for it so far so I try and make my point unique not saying I don't consider what other posters say.


With the killings of Christians in India recenly in the style of ethnic cleansng and forced conversion to Hinduism India now gets it's negative Karma in the guise of this terrorism. Obviously the Westerners have been targetted in Mumbai but what we find is that it will effect business and tourism. India is in its own national shock over this event which the whole world now knows about.

Could this be God's Judgement on India for letting all those Christian believers being forced to accept at gun point Hinduism? Did God say let India's enemies shake their nation or let the devils out the bag beause his spiritual protection was taken away. This in a way is how God thinks in the Bible, if the Jews stray away from God his protection will go thin and their enemies will gather round them. Once the Jews pik up again and become faithful you will see they prosper. WW2 showed that the Jews abandonned their faith of their homelands and tried setting up camp in Europe, not only does that seem Biblically offence to God but their enemies caught on and tried to wipe them out. Then when they went back to Isreal you find what they believed in spiritually they won the 6 day war even when out numbered. Again coincindence? because so far its spiritually consistant in how God of the Bible works and how the Jew's rejection of Jesus gave the covenat to non Jews and to mankind.

I disagree much different than 911 that was more impersonal, this is in your face Very personal (video stills!).

No obivious false flad clues:

-Attackers are fighting, thus exposing themselves to capture (9 already taken)

-Attacks are leaving way too much evidence, no easy way to do a clean up on a city scale

-No "suicide" bombers, that would cry al-qaeda/muslim to everyone that has watched news during the past decade, thus speeding up the desired hate effect on the less aeducated masses.
