I think it would be great to have a spot to expose professional disinfo websites.
Just a suspicion should be enough.
It really is an infowar you know.

Many minds may more quickly vindicate or damn a site,

Here are two for starters.

This one seeks to deny the disease called morgellons morgellonswatch.com...

This one denies chemtrails contrailscience.com...

hope some other people have sites in mind.

Oh, you mean sites that provide evidence and facts instead of rumor and speculation? There are an awful lot of them. You're going to end up with a very large thread. Congratulations.

You are a worthy opponent Phage.

I think that this thread will not only be a viable source for possible disinformation websites, but also a clear representation of possible disinformation agents within this website.

That's the idea.

Here's another one hazelrigg.es.lancs.ac.uk...

Cool. Does that mean I'll get a bonus and be able to pay for the blown engine on my Focus that just dropped a valve seat?

He brings up some good points occasiobally but IMO completely misrepresents and misinterpretes the information he comes across.

I elaborate here:

I remember that thread. I posted a quip on it.

The same argument could and has been made against Alex Jones as you know.

That is more a matter of presentation than straight up disinfo though.
Or is that the point? The presentation scares away sensible people.

The site on Morgellons is actually evil.
These poor people go there hoping for a kind ear and are told that they have delusions of parisitosis.

I spent some time there a while ago hoping to help them.

Wow,

Think about this for a min:

If the site supports whatever conspiracy theory a poster might hold dear, than the site will be deemed a "true site"

conversely, any site that provides evidence to the contrary of these beliefs of the person posting, is going to be labeled Disinfo.

scientific evidence or research won't matter... its going to be a matter of opinion, especially since you did not burden the people who reply to you with proving their claims.

I know the whole idea is a bit gnarly but in the end disinfo sites discredit themselves.

Someone has already determined that the first two sites I mentioned have an address in common although they are about completely different things.
And I learned about 'who is'.

Consider it a place to air suspicion.

Its a war.

is it just me or does it seem alittle weird that there are 2 so called debunk sites on the same server? both using the same registrant to hide their info?

Domains by proxy is a service that allows people to remain anonymous while they purchase their domain.

This doesn't mean it is the same people, it just means they both used the same widely popular service...

Domains by proxy merely protects the true registrant information

even comparing the 2 sites there appears to be a number of similarities...

when i have more time ill check out the rest of the addresses the couple i looked at were empty but would be interesting to see what else is hosted on there

Or sites that don't support what you believe in? "I don't believe, therefore it is disinfo". "I dont believe it, therefore you are wrong". Etc.

****
OP:
Calling it "disinfo" is solely a matter of opinion - not fact. You list it as disinfo, then certainly provide facts as to why it should receive that label!
