Ok, then you're saying you would rather have no one post a pic, rather than have a fake or mistaken pic? I respectfully disagree with you here sir.

I do agree with your frustration as to having 99 percent of the pics posted as being a complete waste of time. But I for 1 want to see every pic so as to make the information public as possible. So that as many people can make an observation as possible.

I guess I just want some real discussion, without all the slamming.

I think there should b a forum for serious discussion of UFOs. Best seperated from alien-themes, because a) sensationalism-motivated threads would go down (remember the saying "if you want some ATS points, just start a topic about an alien invasion") and b) there is not much serious evidence and no non-debunked videos/fotos that would lead to the conclusion that UFOs are piloted by aliens. First it should be validated as a serious case, and then other question such as why or who could be asked.

The problem here is the question where to draw the line, and who draws this line. If such a forum would exist, topics as this could be moved if the majority of the members and "experts" (cgi, meteorologs, general ufology etc.) wants it.

It would bring much more seriousness to the subject. I think it's good that topics about "reptilians" are already in skunkworks, cause nobody wants to see a flood of 10sec "shape-shifting" videos.

Furthermore, I would suggest a "Case Book" for high-profile topics like the one's members like internos are starting, with many background information, wittness reports/testimonies, media files etc.

It's kind of sad to see such a kind of high-profile threads be buried with threads like this one.

//EDIT: I just opened a new thread with the suggestion of Starting an "ATS Casebook" (sub)Forum. I think this would be a nice idea to support serious discussion on the subject.

Ok, I've decided to skip reading a few of the posts to clarify a few things which your pseudo-intellectual brains aren't capable of coming up with by yourselves.

Complain #1 (and the most insulting to human brains all over the world): The fact that I speak "perfect" English, and that I say I live in Chile, even though my info says I'm in LA, CA.
-I was born in the city of Santiago de Chile, Chile, in the province of Las Condes. Here I went to an international school called Nido de Aguilas, where we are forced to learn how to speak English fluently. I also happen to have better English than most goons on this forum.

I spent two years living in Los Angeles, California, as I was studying music in the Musicians Institute, and about two months ago I moved back. I just happened to forget to change my info, don't get too upset, man.

Complain #2: I didn't provide the original photo which would allow for this "EXIF" data.
-I will, I didn't know such a thing existed (I have read it mentioned but I'm not familiar with it so I don't think of it). The picture I linked from here was taken from my girlfriend's friend's Facebook page. I'm not going to supply the Facebook page because I don't trust people here will be responsible about it.
I do appreciate the few who have helped, in fact someone in the first page offered a great alteration of the picture which shows something which, to me (and I've spent 13 years intensively looking at paranormal pictures, news, etc) looks like a craft moving very fast.
I will supply the original picture as soon as I can.

Complain #3: I called it a "stunning UFO pic".
-Here, it's funny how fanaticism gets in the way. Like a group of girls being told a wonderful picture of Ricky Martin's back-side has been taken, and all they want is to get that mental orgasm from it. Get over it. The reason I chose that title is because I particularly do see something quite amazing, since I can make out the shape involved but do not have the Photoshop-skill to show it, and also because I knew it would attract the attention of those that will know how to analyze it (I also knew it would attract the bash-mongers. So, don't worry, guys, your bashing is more than necessary to make ATS the community it's famous for being... now if only that could change...).

Complain #4: The picture wasn't taken by me.
-So effing what? She would've never brought it forth for analysis... I'm not sure if you are celebrating that those who take the pictures keep them to themselves (and, oh, how this will uproot the comment: "that's because there's nothing to see") or if you are witch-hunting for people who use others' pictures in forums.

Complain #5: There is a booger on your screens.
-You did that.

I will read the rest of the posts now, I will edit this post as appropriate. I will supply the original either today, tomorrow or the day after.

Continuation of complaints...

Complain #6: I left immediately after posting the thread.
-Yes, I went right to my business because I'm aware that posts in this forum, of similar nature, don't get the good responses with analysis until after a while. Behold, I was correct. A good deal of pointless comments that do nothing to help anyone or anything.

Complain #7: What this guy and that guy said.
-Do you REALLY have to start having a discussion on "what I said what he said, TFC, PBT..." in EVERY single thread? I mean come on, man. Get along.

Peace, do well with your time, and much love.

it's a bird!

it's a plane!

no it's!....

just a bird sorry.

Anywho, with things like this it's usually hit and miss, so if this is the first time your g/f's friend has taken a picture of what they believe to be a UFO, then it's all good. Just keep trying and developing an eye for what is definitely NOT anything of this world.

You seem to testify that UFOs would not be of this world. How much do you really know about flying saucers and the E.T. presence? From my understanding, there is a lot of meddling with reversed engineering, prototype-saucers, Nazi Haunebu, tales of older civilizations on Earth, tales of present and underground civilizations on Earth.

So... Not of this world, I guess my eye has gotten to trained and it could be from anywhere.

You say it's a bird, I have no problem with that. Could you, please, provide some analysis as to why it's a bird? I don't see any bird-features...

Peace, love and light.

Pseudo-intellectual....hmmmm.....

Definition.
pejorative, intellectually dishonest.

So, sifting through your big words in your complaint department, if anyone's intellect should be downgraded (pejorative) in an intellectually dishonest fashion, it should be yours.

We have all been very intellectually honest with our opinions.

If anyone's intellegence should be downgraded, it should be yours for the fact that you call the picture "stunning".

You must realise that presenting something like you did and describing it like you did, you will be put under "heat lamps".

You know... I'm starting to think that art/graphic design students the world around are using ATS as a free critique of their artwork. I believe they think that if they can get people on here to buy into their artwork then they're finally getting good at the software they're learning..

meh...

crap picture crap thread and most of all it seems to me like your getting pretty defensive over your cute bird picture. I dont think anyone is falling for it no matter how well you speak or where your located. Personally, I think that the fact that you would post something so vague and uninteresing on this site and then mock anyone who responds to this obvious waste of time is offensive. Why doesnt everyone go through their photo albums for every pic with a blur in the sky, we'll put them all together in a book and send it to the government and tell them that we know whats going on, how will the public deny our story with all of our obvious ufo evidence -and if they do, its likely we will have at the very least comprised one hell of a bird spotting resource book. (Assuming of course that you can unblur the images. lets all make sure that they are in the right format)

By the way, -dont bother reposting to me, I'll be doing my buisiness

Peace love and birds

YES!

I really don't think we need to waste 3 pages of time talking about birds!

I'll wait until i'm 80 and go to the park with a loaf of stale bread.

Its a bird. They ruin my shots all the time. I just paint them out in PS.

Stunning is not a reasonable description of a blur on an extremely low resolution photo. You should not be offended that people are calling you on that.

How do these birds happen on photo's? Many birds can and do exceed 30 MPH in flight and if diving far faster than that. I spend many, many hours trying to capture birds in flight. I spend many more removing their blurs from shots I don't want them in. Bugs are a pain as well.

To avoid the inevitable attack when posting such shots, you should avoid exaggerated claims and don't post if no UFO is apparent in the shot. Points of light at night and gray blurs in the daytime are not worth posting as they have no real value.

Definition of stunning.
Causing or capable of causing emotional shock or loss of consciousness.
Of a strikingly attractive appearance.

Impressive: gave a stunning performance.
Surprising: The President's final decision came with stunning suddenness.

I'm enjoying the multitude of Egos. I really don't care about the things you are saying, after all; I was inviting those who can do some photo analysis. Why do you guys get so riled up?

Regardless of your attitudes, always;

Peace, love and light.

Seems the only one riled up is you. No need to be so defensive.

You invited. We came. We did it.

Case closed? I think so.

Why did you change the name of the thread from "Stunning" to "Curious"?

You are the one that started the complaint department.

Peace, love and light....hmm...Do you know Blossom Goodchild?

I was just making a joke, like a jajajaja joke, because everyone just tore your picture apart and I'm not one to talk about it. When I mention out of this world, I mean in generalities, NORMALLY when people think UFO, they think outer space, at least for the general public ( I know we here at ATS are a bunch of elitist so pardon my terminology faux-paus)

So before jumping down my throat, you might want to re-evaluate my statement and realize that I just have an odd sense of humor.

I'm sorry my response didn't sit well with you your majesty. In fact, I really don't know much about et's and all that junk, I know they are out there, wherever, whenever, doing their thing, but I would never call myself an expert whatsoever. In fact in my response to this, after I got through laughing at my own stupid joke, I tried to say something positive to you (because likewise I don't know anything about you or how much information you have on this subject), hell I even mentioned your g/f's friend! I know you didn't take the picture and was merely trying to provide you with something constructive.

Sorry for trying to put some humor in my response after so many people were making fun of you. I assure you it won't happen again

Good! Day! Sir! (just in case you mistake that for me being rude, it's from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starring Gene Wilder)

Regards,
JR

Yes, the OP has no sense of humor at all.

Yes, we live in drastic times right now, but does that call for drastic attitudes?

No one's riled up, I think people are just fed up of seeing threads entitled 'Stunning' 'Smoking Gun' 'Must See' etc, etc. Only to find the usual crap and pathetic pictures or hoaxes. Not to say that you're picture is a hoax, because there's nothing to see, just a blurred image of a bird.
Also if you don't care about the things the majority of people are saying on your thread and you are only accepting certain opinions, then you've come to the wrong place.
Anyway, at least you've changed the thread title now, so no one should get the wrong impression before they view the pic.

Peace, not much love, but maybe a bit of light for you!

I find your picture quite intriquing. I've seen some strange things myself in the past few months and even caught some on video. And was promptly as beat up on the internet as they have done to you here. I find it very strange that people get so vicious about UFOs. The only other subject they get so rabid about is religion. So there must be something good about them. In my experience, the things don't take pictures well. I think it is something about their speed or vibrations. Thanks for sharing. Keep your chin up and your eye on the sky!
