A friend of my girlfriend took this picture while on a visit to Valle del Elqui (a known UFO hot-spot in Chile). I live in Chile, and I know this place to be famous for sightings...

I would love if people who have good abilities with image-editing programs or image-analysis programs would take a look at this image, and show some research. I am sure that I see a domed-craft, with a 'ghost' image chasing...

Here is the image:

In advance, thank you.

It's a bird flying across the view.

Nice photo. I agree with Phage. It's almost certainly a bird.

That's funny on so many levels.

I couldn't help but notice that the sky is two shade of blue.

Stunning UFO Picture

Those words should never be used for such a crappy photo. Sorry, but how in the world is a blurry photo of "something" somehow stunning?

More than two shades for sure...

It's just haze low down in the sky. Have you never noticed this before?!

Tilt your screen at an angle and look at it again.
It is not haze.

I disagree. Not stunning at all.

Uhmm... AMAZING. Amazing in that you believed it was a UFO. I'm only grumpy because I ran out of cigarettes a minute ago. I can understand that if the source was close to you, it would be much easier to believe it to be extraterrestrial. On first glance it looks like a cloud took a turd. Second glance, obviously added. Third glance, are you [snip] kidding me?

I still don't see what you're talking about. It all looks normal to me. I've boosted everything, and see nothing - can you indicate (mark on the photo) where it is that you are seeing the two shades?

Stunning that you decided to put your smudge in the upper right hand corner and not in the center of the pic.

Did you just decide to take a pic of trees for no reason?

It's not even a stunning landscape that I myself personally would even choose to take a pic in that location.

It's a stunningly poor attempt.

Dude, that's upper left hand corner. Not right hand corner. It's stunning that you don't know right from left.

That's exactly my point. At least I was able to make something stunning out of this thread.

No EXIF data can be extracted for this photo.
source

Definition: EXIF stands for Exchangeable Image File Format. It was developed by the Japanese Electronics Industry Development Association (JEIDA) in an effort to simplify and standardize the exchange of data between imaging devices and software. Exif is a variation of JPEG, used by almost all digital cameras to record extra interchange information to image files as they are taken. The type of information stored in a file varies by camera model, but it can include such things as date and time a photo was taken, resolution, camera settings used for the shot, amount of compression applied, color information, whether or not the flash was fired, shutter speed, name of the camera owner, and so on.
Most photo manipulation software released after 2001 supports the reading of Exif information, however, if you want to ensure that the information is retained within your picture files, you must use software that supports Exif. The Exif information is lost if you save a picture in a program that doesn't support it. There is also specialized software specifically for extracting and editing Exif data.

I must concur with Phage on this. It appears to be a bird.
For future reference, you would do well to supply the original jpeg to a photo hosting site that supports EXIF metadata. This data will greatly aid in the analysis and possible identification of any object captured in the photo. Particularly when you ask for such analysis. Thanks
Peace

I kept wiping my screen,

because there was a smudge on it and I thought it was blocking out something that would be interesting.

So in honour of that pic, I'm gonna flick a booger on an old little league picture of mine and post it.

Now I have to wipe my screen off, from spray'n coffee from laughin'
at your post.

PS: Dont forget the EXIF data when you post your booger!

Edit: cant spell booger

If there is something there, it's nothing more than a rogue cloud - which I highly doubt seeing as how it's a clear blue sky.

The only thing that's stunning about it is that you think it's a UFO.

Sorry.
