Moon Base Buildings-- Fact or Fiction?

I have a theory on the large spires or towers, could it be remnants of huge asteroids crashing into the moon ? Or would they pulverize on impact ?

i'm going to hazard a guess that despite the lack of atmosphere they'd still be destroyed on impact. thus all the craters we see.

According to the Vision for Space Exploration, NASA is sending astronauts back to the Moon. Are these meteoroids going to cause a problem?

"That's what we're trying to find out," says Cooke. "No one knows exactly how many meteoroids hit the Moon every day. By monitoring the flashes, we can learn how often and how hard the Moon gets hit."

Thanks for the information and link, somehow it must be a problem for a future moon base, one solution would be to put it underground. Who knows for sure whats up there or has been, all the images posted in this forum raises a lot of questions.

Bases or not, what I find most interesting is the fact we haven't been back for almost 40 years and now we'll be back in 2020. That's about 50 years in between.

The story is NASA (a true Dept of Defense branch) didn't need to go back (read Project Horizon) since it was going to be a launching pad for nuclear weapons. However, with the advent of the nuclear submarine, the same effect is created without having to establish a base. That's the semi public story. In any event, I strongly believe we have been there many times since then and our existing technology (rocketry, space shuttle, etc.) is just for show.

Chances are whatever is on the surface they not only dont want people to know about and will do anything to keep it hidden. I mean how many people have seen everything on the dark side of the moon including astronauts and are willing to talk about it.

No doubt its some super secret project that the governments of today are only too happy to cover up. Just a theory but I think that they already have human colonies on other planets which they dont say a word about and try and lead people off the track with Mars missions and such.

These so called artificial structures are bunk. They have been debunked several times, an excellent section at badastronomy.com does a good job of this.

These so called examples are people mis indentifiying natural formations in lighting and such, and then matrixing (the tendency of the human mind to find patterns in the unfamiliar, the same reason you see pictures in clouds) takes over.

yeah there are Pyramids and even a large Christian Cross on the moon. They can be seen in books like:

So yeah, there stuff on the moon.

I'm agnostic towards the idea of alien structures on the moon. I haven't seen anything to convince me of it, that is on the fringe of a fringe science, but I don't rule out the existence of them. I think there maybe alien bases on Earth, anything is possible.
