Why do I have to register for the Selective Service System?!?!

I agree with some of the other posters that there is a great deal of whining about nothing. I think the best thing for the country would be for these "protesters" to refuse to sign up. At some point, when they want to take advantage of some of the opportunities that this country can offer, they will be unable to. Of course, at that point, they will be whining about how mistreated they are and how life isn't fair.
