And if God created us "in his image", then that means God has a penis, too. Why does he need that? There is no Mrs. God as far as I know, and if there was, why do they need to have sex? And let's not even get started on God's digestive tract.

And people still take that book seriously. What a laugh.

maybe god has to pee. which makes me wonder what god's diet is.

Ok I will bite ...but your not gonna like it ...

Once again yall pay way too much attention to FLESH and PHYSICAL .
And the lusts of the flesh .....and it says alot about what you concentrait on the most in this world ...carnal mindedness ....and SEX ...

I mean come on people the penis was created for PEEING TOO wasnt it ?
Or is that to easy of an answer ?

Seriously yall must have way too much time on your hands ...

Which is why I pointed out sperm. They later procreated, which would mean he already had sperm, but if God had no intention of creating Eve at first, why did Adam originally have sperm???

I wonder also when the animals in the garden became male and female?

Did they also get genders when Adam did?

Or were they male and female all along?

Perhaps Adam got lonely because he was the only hermaphrodite in the whole garden?

Yeah that's what makes even less sense to me than the OP's first question. Why would God make Adam alone but give the animals genders?

Adam could have been androgynous, but then you would have to ask, were the animals too?

You have to wonder when this all knowing God said, “Oops, I screwed up, I better make genders.”

I’ve always wondered why in a “perfect” garden Adam was dissatisfied anyway, why could God not satisfy this man he created from the beginning? Wouldn’t he know from the start the outcome?

This post isn’t proof that there is no God, it is however proof of the bible creators trying to undermine the creation of women (however they came about) and attempts to “put them in their place”. While doing so they forgot the fallacies in their logic.

Yes he would've known the outcome, he is omniscient after all. In my opinion that argument refutes nearly all creationist arguments...

It refutes prayer, freewill, etc..

I really cannot even believe I am in this thread ...how many ten year old are there in this thread ?

Ok would you just go out and build a house without a blueprint ? NO
I am pretty sure that God already planned an Eve before Adam was created .

Seriously do you all think GOD intented to just have one man and a bunch of animals and no one else ?

I find myself wondering those very same things.

I mean this "garden of eden" was supposedly destroyed after the great flood which gave light to the noahs ark story.

Do you think its coincedence that no one has ever found this garden of eden because of this "flood" that may have happened?

Or did it just never exist in the first place...?

Logic tells me.. it never existed.

Pretty sure or not that then begs the question, why did God not create her from the beginning then? He seemed to recognize Adam needed a mate in the bible after he had created Adam and the garden. Why did he recognize this if he already planned on Eve? Why did he wait to create her in the first place?

Gen 2:18 And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

Gen 2:19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought [them] unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that [was] the name thereof.

Gen 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

Nowhere in scripture does it say anything about well I created man and now look he is lonely I need to make him a women .....

Notice Gen 2 and 18 says ....I will make him a HELP MEET..
He says that before he even created the animals .......

Notice in Gen 2 and 20 it says BUT FOR ADAM there was not found a helpmate ..(sounds to me like they were saying that it was Adam who thought he was gonna be alone ..not GOD >......

Questions like these are just silly and not even important in the whole scheme of things ...you remind me of this scripture .
Mat 23:24 [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

Nitpicking little things like this .. ....trying to discount God and his word at every angle you can think of ...

It is sad really ...
If you dont believe then just go on with your life why dont ya ?
Isnt there something else you could be doing other than trying to figure out why God made wee wees and testacles ?

They're gay & in a tizzy over the passage of Proposition 8.

Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination." Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death." 1 Cor 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals" 1 Tim 1:9-10 "realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers" Rom 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."

Personally I could care less what a person believes they were born to be. I actually believe gays when they say they were "born gay". Life is a bet. Place your bets ladies & gents. That said... I ain't executing judgment on anyone. Someone must be wrong... might be me... might be you... we shall see.

Well I am staying out of that one ...since the last time I tried to get into that conversation I was called names (which I am NOT a HOMOPHOBE) ... ...so I give ....

Back to the subject .....
It really boils down to what someone wants to believe I guess ....or doesnt want to believe ..(All of those beliefs really do require faith dont they ?)
I told you that I believe in Ghosts .I could also believe in Aliens ...my own thoughts about aliens is they could be manmade (with all the genetic altering going on ) .....and I believe in bigfoot ...(which could also have been man created I suppose) ....................

Well I'm giving the religious folks the benefit of the doubt in this case.

"Assuming the bible is true, then why...?"

Most other creation stories have some way of explaining male and female genders.

Things that go beyond "He was lonely."

Me personally, IF the bible is true then I think that Eden was in another dimension.

That would be why we haven't found any evidence of it.

That would also explain why there were other people on Earth when Adam and Eve had their children.

Now, if we are going to bring the Alien theories into it, that might make a bit more sense... perhaps Eve was actually cloned from the rib.

I don't know one Christian who follows everything stated in the bible sections you just listed, just the quotes about homosexuality and anything else they pick and choose, nor do they acknowledge that Jesus never mentioned gays in the NT. Those that did mention gays in the NT, we all remember what they also condoned right? I hope those that single out the homosexual quotes do not also agree with the other statements.

Simple.

God knew one day Adam would look at snow and wish for a *wand* to write his name instead of trying to do it running around in a squat.

I’m missing your point. It would appear the bible supports that Adam was made and then God recognized he needed Eve.

So that means God likes farting, as any curry he creates must be perfect.

I think we're getting to the bottom of this one. Pun intended
