You see, this is a America, It is predicated on keeping what you make. We fought for freedom on it biggest principal for taxation with out representation. We have a big belief that you should keep what you make. I am not sure how to explain this to you. We are a capitalist, democracy. We are about free trade and making something out of yourself. We don't believe that we should have to tax people to death. You should be able to keep you money and use it for you own means. Over taxation is a sin in this country. We fought wars over it. We fought countries over these thoughts of socialism and communism. We fear socialism because we don't like government being in our lives all the time. Being an American is having the freedom to do what you want and having the tools to do it. I am socialist republic, as in the one we just elected, It is going to be hard to keep small business open, to hire people and keep them employed. It is also going to make it hard to anyone to start a new business.
My question to you is, why do you want your government to take almost half your money, and control you life and run things for you. Don't you want the freedom to do what you want with your money. To choose the kind of support you want and get more of your money back to invest it to make work of you. Socialism is the next step to communism. Be careful of your any government that wants to put their hands in every aspect of your life..

Well, thank you for your welcome!
And congratulations and well wishes from myself for the decision your fellow citizens have made today!
And uh, the Republicans nationalized the banking system, the bad mortgages, and Fannie and Freddie, so America was already socialized long before today.
Now Obama will spread the wealth, and not just to the corporate elite.
Wait and see, you might actually get some of it yourself.

i'm not entirely sure that things will be as bad as some believe they will be
i'm also not convinced that things will be as great as others think
i'm of the mind that things will pretty well average out in the long run. presidents come and go, it's the country that is the most important and i don't think one man being elected to run it has ever caused it all to shatter into pieces.
ultimately, it is us who are in charge. it is us that will change this country for better or worse by choosing to allow ourselves to be distracted by what other people stand for and what other people do instead of becoming active in our own communities and involved in ways that make a real difference.
don't let who wins an election make you frown. that's giving someone else power over your perception and ultimately, over you. you are in charge of yourself as an individual and the decisions we all make individually are what truly determine the direction we as a collective take
You keep right on believing that brother. Then when they take away Americans rights to bear arms and to free speech and continue to erode the ability to peacably assemble and then take away the ability to even think negative thoughts about someone. They are set to take away the ability to succeed and be rewarded for that success.
Then when we are defenseless, speechless, hopeless and helpless, we'll see how you feel about it then, but of course by that time you'll have to get permission to tell us how you feel.
blissfull morons, the world is full of them and america is full of 53% of them.

this is all such crap. People making over $250,000 will have to suck it up and start paying what they were paying before Bush gave them a ridiculous tax cut. That's it. That's all.
I work for an accounting firm and I know that no one who makes that much has all their income taxed in the first place. In fact, sadly enough, sometimes they end up paying less in taxes than the average Joe (sorry for the "Joe" reference). I've compared the rate of taxation by looking at some of our higher income earning clients to those of our lower earning clients and almost all of the time the higher earners wind up paying less taxes.
It's actually completely unreal. A wealthy person has a multitude of deductions to take off their taxable income and wind up in a far lower tax bracket then they would be in if they didn't have those deductions.
People who are poorer don't have that luxury so in the end, they may very well wind up in a higher tax bracket than someone wealthier than them.
These are facts. Sorry to sound like a child but it is extremely unfair and we have all seen what happened to this country when Bush gave those tax cuts away.
