Well isn't all of this convenient? Just as convenient as the Bin Laden tape that came ou during the 2004 election.

I know that some would think it despicable and that we conspiracy theorists are making up excuses for these guys. Me personally, I'm not, if it's true, convict them and punish them to the extent of the law.

But I myself can't help but feel right now, like detective Finch in "V for Vendetta" when he approached his most close friend and colleague and asked if maybe it was all a lie, that the terrorists, even though they "confessed" to being responsible for a big plague epidemic, perhaps they were just a scapegoat used by our own govt. Would you want to know the truth, if it meant knowing that your own govt. had become your own worse enemy?

I'm sorry, but I find this series of events too "coincidental" and a man like myself does not believe in coincidences.

I know two skinheads very well who are supporting Barack Obama in this election because they think he is the better candidate. These are indeed interesting times.

You know what *I* find fascinating? The fact that had the headline read "ATF disrupts militant muslim plot to assisinate McCain" each and every one of you would be saying Obama himself planned it! Either way, you all blame Obama and the democrats. White Republican's can simply do no wrong, right? How about just buck up and admit that there may be so crazies out there like this. I'm not quite sure what you meant by this. Especially considering I technically argued both sides of the fence.

If you are saying that there is a high amount of bigotry in this thread, I agree. But if you are telling me, for any reason (maybe that you believe I'm bigotted myself), that Obama didn't use this to his advantage, I would argue that point.

This does look like a propaganda distribution as the timing is too close to the election.

When have skin heads organized such a plan? Since the KKK was sued in Federal court and lost their assets, these groups have been more careful about violence. Now they mostly promote their cause and prepare for the coming race war but they don't usually initiate such a plot. Sounds suspicious.

It is a bit weird that this assassination report comes out now but it seems par for the course in the US elections. Should you expect anything less when you look at the previous two election debacles. I guess time will tell how exaggerated or accurate the reports are.

I think there will be trouble after the election results no matter who wins. You guys are far too divided. The hatred I see on this forum from both sides of the fence is very disturbing. I'm glad I live in Australia!

I don't think this story was concocted to divide more people....i think it's the real deal. If you look at the videos everywhere of the brainwashed knuckledraggers who represent the majority of mccain supporters, this kind of thing does not surprise me in the least. those same biggoted dullards who either hate obama because he's a "socialist", a "nig*er", or an "a-rab", are probably applauding these two pieces of garbage as friggin' heroes.

Now, let's not get it twisted, i don't like either candidate, i think we're screwed either way, and i'm sure the election is rigged, and it'll be McSenile, and Caribou Barbie in '09...but if you pay attention to the videos, and you see and acknowledge the outright ignorance, and hatred these people demonstrate against the man, this really does not come as a surprise.

2 teens say they are going to kill a potential president and all of a sudden it's an assassination plot. They had 1 rifle and 2 pistols. They said they would kill black students first at a black high school. Not exactly a grand plot to kill a potential first black president. Hell even they said they didnt think it would work. I wonder how many here have said Bush needs to be taken out. Should that be constituted as an assassination plot also?

And coming from someone who has a few friends in the "White Power" movements, I can tell you it's total bull. None of them at all want Obama dead, in fact they want him elected. I actually agree with you. I also have had friends in the WP movement. Which is kinda funny because I am borderline hispanic. Anyway, there are different levels to these organizations. There are those that want segregation, those that want to repeal legislation to help minorities. The majority of them agree with protecting the border. Some actually "hate" minorities, others want to enslave them. No, These were probably just 2 soldiers in the White Power movement. They were young, and stupid. This is not stereotypical of what the way they usually think. Example being, yes they want obama in power. they want him in power, because most of these guys have been predicting the collapse of the US for the last 50 years. They want him in power because this is the closest that america is to collapsing finacially. Can you imagine what would happen to there movement if :

1.) the U.S. economy collapsed under the first black president.
2.) civil unrest started under the first black president resulting in the death of innocent white people being attacked and robbed in minority ghettos.
3.) Martial Law was declared to quell the unrest, resulting in gun confiscation, mass arrests of starving people seeking to get out of cities only to be thrown in prisons. All this orchestrated by a black president?

No, they have everything to gain and nothing to loose with Obama. If actually nothing happens, he is nothing more then a corrupt, useless politician. If BAD stuff start happening, its a recruiting tool that can truly enthrall the masses. Alot of closet bigots and racists will start leaning there way, and being actively involved in the movement. Additionally, alot of people that aren't racist would leave them alone because:

1.) they've grown in power,
2.) there fighting the government.

No, if things got real bad, there recruitment would skyrocket, and they would significant have a powerplay.

This kinda leads with all the fear going around. Why is it that gun sales are up. There up because people are scared that they will need it to protect there family and there food.

Why are people hoarding food? Because they fear the the economy is going to collapse.

Last note. I think Obama will be elected president. I do think alot of stupid racists will try to kill him. These 2 were in the stupid group. I think he will need to start worrying when the ATF start finding detailed plans, not a bunch of drunk rednecks talking.

P.S. - I am not a racist, as I said, I'm 1/2 hispanic, my wife's brother was one, he was actually killed trying to get out of the movement. Because of this, my wife and I pay attention to the movement, and do alot of research. While I don't agree with them, its always better to know your enemy.
