this is actually a very frequent phenomenon over here in the USA where I live, as you can see by the picture, you have a complete overcast sky, along with the sunlight poking through. the sunlight has hit this patch of sky in the best way to pick up on the dirt and dust and pollotion in the clouds, mixing with the blue gray cast, making it appear pinkish purplish, we usually get them here very very early in the morning, its quite beautiful really.

Hmmm dunno looks like someone drew circles around lens flare

It is a lens flare, the shape is caused by the cameras lens diaphragm, which gives it that suspicious triangle look, don't be alarmed though there is absolute nothing odd with that or this pink cloud photo (check my previous post pg5).

I am curious what Oz Weatherman has to say about this. I have scanned the thread and not seen him chime in yet.... I think we should point aussie man this way.

PINK CLOUD - MYSTERY SOLVED

I live in Marylebone, near the location of the pink cloud which appeared again tonight. I followed the location, and found that just below it is an elaborate pink lit Christmas display for the shop House of Fraser on Oxford Street.

Sorry to pop any bubbles, it's advertising....

The glow has been over central London for over a week now. It is there right now, as I look out my window. It is not a ufo. It is something else.

How does pink display lighting cause pink clouds? I don't like this explanation, it isn't a haze, its brighter at the top, I see it unlikely to be a ground light source, as the article says, the cloud moved.

I was as intrigued as anyone, but I must concur with the other poster. The pink light is coming from the House of Fraser on Oxford St. On a cloudy, rainy night, you can even see the 'beam' going into the sky which produces the 'pink clouds'. Cheers!

Someone said at uk.youtube.com... HAARP has a technology that can create earthquakes and when the system is turned on at a particular location the sky becomes pink before and earthquake, hmm!! 14Oct we had the market crash and just after a week a pink cloud averting Londoners to stay calm if not the earth will tremble under your feet...the zion-ist G-d has spoken!

Well other than the over-abundance of UFO reports the world over of late, I'd hazard to guess either Project Blue Beam, or the UK has its own HAARP facility.

It is dark right now, but I can still see because of the streetlights. The fog just suddenly turned pink. I shined a flashlight into the fog, and there were little particles inside the beam. Lots of little particles. The pinkness only lasted about ten minutes and then the fog went back to being gray. So I shined my flashlight into it and the particles were gone. What could cause this? Should I be alarmed? It is November 14, 2010, and I live in Langley, B.C., Canada. Anyway, I'm gonna stay inside.

There has been talk of 3D video mapping lately. I know they can do 3D video mapping on the side of a building. Just look up that phrase "3D video Mapping on a building" and you will get youtube videos about this, showing this neat technology. It can be kind of mind bending to see I think. I've never seen it for real, only on the youtube videos, I'd like to see how it really looks. I am wondering if it works on buildings would it work on the sky? There would probably have to be some fog or ice crystals for it to work. Maybe they could do some chemtrail spraying beforehand to create the backdrop they will use.
