Can someone please explain to ignorant me, what is the difference between CNN and FOX?

CNN spoon feeds you BS .. and covers any and all stories damaging to Democraps.

Fox on the other hand tells you what you won't hear from any other news station. Fox is the most hated network to libs.

So basically if you watch CNN you have a target on your face, In my opinion.

That's bull. Fox used to be my favorite news station - - until it became so over-the-top ridiculous I couldn't watch it anymore.

Its unbelievable to me some of the stuff Fox - presents as fact. And gullible viewers buy it hook-line and sinker.

Very sad.

I venture to say, that both of them from a objective view are complete crap, and are the antithesis of each other. Both are biased towards one political view. Depending on which view you hold dictates which station is crap and which one is the fairest reporting evar.

Perhaps you should start a thread on CNN - - - this isn't a game of "pass the trash".

I never said I watched CNN - - I said I stopped watching FOX.

I have watched Glenns' show several times, sometimes I liked it, sometimes I did not. The same with CNN and FOX. But I will say that FOX changed alot over the last couple years. It appears to me, they try to sensationalize ALL news and make their audience appear stupid. It's hard for me to explain....They both suck imo! The best way to get the news is to watch multiple news channels and also read them online as well as newspapers, imo, ofcourse. It's all about the ratings you know.

Thank you.

I totally agree with you.

Except I no longer watch news. I get it all off the internet from various sources. The only way to get anything even close to the truth is read - read - read - compare. I've actually found more truth from some foreign news sources then our own.

I used to listen to Glen Beck years back on the radio and I thought he was funny and insightful but a funny thing happened to Glenn along the way. I noticed that a lot of the talk show host that were in drive time starting making this weird shift in their views and that shift escalated to a full attack on anything or anyone that express a view or an opinion that was not in line with TPTB. His rhetoric became predictable and I started to listen not because I enjoyed the show but because I wanted to see how the message was being pushed. You could turn from Glen to Rush to Hannity and all you heard was the same message being constantly and consistently pushed. They are minions under control of TPTB. Listen with an understanding that you are being controlled and manipulated. If you start to believe everything they say and start to see yourself as a ditto head or a sick twisted freak, stop all media exposure immediately. Surround yourself with family, friends, sunshine and fresh air. These things seem to have a healing effect.

That may be true for "commentators," generally; but aren't they supposed to express opinion? They are free to pick and choose the subjects they want to explore and their viewers want to hear about.

Perhaps that is why the Fox news and commentary programming consistently out-draws all other competition. Check the Nielsens and Reuters polls and compare viewership of Greta Van Susteren, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity (formerly of H. and Colmes) to Chris Matthews, Nancy Grace (CNN HeadLineNews), and Keith Olberman. Recently, CNN/HLN have brought in Lou Dobbs as an apparently-neutral commentator, but his shares and viewers don't yet compete.

As for news coverage, Fox does not shy away from reporting anything. CNN will cast a liberal view on everything, even their so-called 'news.'

I agree with you that you will not find the truth in American media. The airwaves have been commandeered by TPTB and you will only see and hear what it is that that want you to see and hear in an effort to control your thoughts and your actions. I don't know how they got to Glenn. I guess we all have our price. The sad thing here though is that Glenn has a huge following because of his religious stance. It looks like he has sold his soul to the highest bidder and is delivering the minds of his followers to TPTB. If he really does believe in God I am starting to question which one.

A truer statement I have not seen about Fox News. I too used to watch it as my only source for news (other than local news). However, they really began to lose me when they kept LYING over and over about the reasons for going to war in Iraq and so on. They pretty much spoon fed us all what the GOP and current administration wanted us to hear so we would support an illegal war. Well, I dropped them like they deserved to be dropped. I don't trust any MSM anymore. They are all owned by the corrupt which is obvious from the agendas each pushes.

Interesting that a Mormon has such a huge Right Wing Conservative following. Considering their less than supportive reaction to Mitt Romney and anything else Mormon.

Guess Glenn is saying what they want to hear.

Or maybe closer to the truth is that he is being successful in converting them to thinking the way that TPTB wants them to think. They don't keep or pay big bucks to people that are not effective so I have to think that he is doing a good job of leading the lambs to slaughter.

Well I was gonna mention Lambs or Sheep - but left it for you LOL

Yes I agree with your "truth".

I didn't want to start a RW vs Liberal sheep rant. Even though Liberal has now become anyone and everyone that doesn't fit in the confines of RW conformity. Which means it is the catch all bucket for all the individual/independent thinkers too.

Its all has to do with reconfiguring Fox News to a new era. There simply planing ahead for when they fire Hanity for his bs hes been pulling off air. Even though they don't like Obama at Fox News they know enough to only rock the boat and not capsize it. Its ok to be far right when the government is right. But when the government turns center left you have to follow to keep the ratings up. They preached the world would end if Obama one now that he has there listners will be upset when they realise the sky isn't falling. They could take the other route and keep on going the same way and just ask everybody to drink the Jim Jones juice at a later date.

So its Marketing.

Makes me feel so much better about American media news.

Our news shows are run by advertisers? How scary is that!

You do realize that probably everything today (product) is owned by maybe 4 corporate conglomerates.

So Marketing/Advertising would be controlled by TPTB - - who are controlling mass media.

So Glenn Beck is also a product of TPTB mass media control.
