TRAINS!! ARGH!!!!!!

The trains near my house are starting to irritate and anger me so much i don't want to go to college!

Once there was a problem with their signals and i had to wait for an hour and fourty five minutes.

The day after it appeared late with no excuses, and it just happens randomly throughout the weekday!

This is my only method of transport to college as i am only 17, can't drive and its two hours away on bus.

So, I've read through all the responses, and I'm feeling more fortunate than I was before reading this thread.

For one thing, I almost never bother with movie theaters, and for another, I don't have a car or need to drive. That's two huge sources of aggravation that I'm free of.

But (there's always that but) public transportation has its own set of things that really just make me so mad.

Top of my list: people who, when I stand back a bit to let a little teeny old lady get on the subway first, push ahead of both of us. What are they thinking? The subway won't get them to their destination any faster if they get on first!

People who stand in front of the doors and don't move in or out of the train when they open.

Men who take up three seats on a crowded train because their legs are splayed so wide. If your balls are that big, then stand. Subways are not designed for lounging.

I could go on and on about the subways, but overall I think I have it better than drivers, so I should shut up.

Okay, this is a big one to me. People who seem to think it's more important to answer a phone than to finish a conversation in person. I don't care if it's a service person, a friend, whatever.

Nothing pisses me off more than waiting in line somewhere, getting to the front, and then as soon as the person starts helping me, the phone rings and they feel the need to pick it up and deal with that person before they can finish with me. That's what hold buttons are for. People are not more important just because you can't see them. Help the people who are there in person, and then worry about the people who are on the phone.

That goes for everyone. We pay no attention to the people we're faced with, and way too much attention to those who are only voices in an electronic contraption.

Oh, and text-messaging at movies, in classes, or while talking to me.

I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE


Im a software devloper by day and an ATS member by night lol. I'm part of a team of developers who write document management software. Its a small to medium size business and like many software houses we sell our product to some very large companies. Now, like many companies we get our fair share of support calls. Let me start by saying that its not supporting the product that makes me mad but rather the users of the systems who seem to think that as soon as they have our software installed that anything and everything that could possibly happen to their machine is happening because of our software.

case in point. Last week some one calls us up and says im using your product and when i click on my excel document it wont open. Ok, so i go through some simple questions to try and diagnose the problem (trying to be as helpful as i can) all the time thinking that the problem was something to do with our product (coz, being a document management system excel documents can be stored within it).

After 5 - 10 minutes of questions and answers all leading to a dead ends
I finally find out that the excel document is on the users desktop and isnt stored in our system at all.... so now im supporting a microsoft product ... so i tell them that its nothing to do with us and that they should
contact microsoft and then i get the response "but im using your product and you need to help me" .. EXACTLY WHAT PART OF NOT OUR PROBLEM DONT YOU UNDERSTAND EH ! simply being another product installed on your computer DOES NOT mean that we are going to support it ..... It just makes me so damn mad.


Also, long the same kind of thing .... getting customers ringing us up after they have upgraded their systems saying that it used to do something before the upgrade and since they applied it they cant do something
.... lets put aside the fact that we can prove width out a shadow of a doubt that it was impossible for the product to have performed that action prior to the upgrade ... !!!!!!

You know what burns me? PAPER CHAMPIONS! I train fighters part time. I am a conditioning coach for MMA and boxing. Former amateur boxer and wrestler and am a competitive grappler.

I am sick of guys who form their own organizations so they can crown themselves or their pals champions of say, oh I don't know, Muay Thai! Example, the Native American Muay Thai Association, their heavyweight champion has never fought a credible fighter!

MAN! This one damn near has me grabbin' a bat and charging forward! (Jus' kiddin' perusing LE)

That's what does it for me, that and NWO, illegals, socialism, and stupidity in general.

what annoys me are threads like this which really do not actually help anyone. This is the type of thing that you could talk about with anyone. This is anything but ATS..

Having to look at things like what are your favourite films and oh I'm getting fat, winds me up more than anything on this site. I mean are you people even reading each others posts?

surely it is more suitable for BTS?

Over SENSITIVE super moderators who take away 500 points you had for less than 2 hrs and then give you a warning.

A warning is supposed to Warn you that you will suffer a penalty if you don't comply.paying the penalty and then given a warning seems to be arse backwards and is resulting in nothing more than abuses of power like world gov'ts. This is why humans should never have power over another mans life.

What infuriates me even more is the wuss who reported what he deems innapropriate when the thread it was posted on is what was incesitive and innapropriate.

What really winds me up is drivers who do not stop for people at crosswalks. If somebody has one foot on a crosswalk you STOP. You don't keep going because they're not on your side of the crosswalk yet. You STOP and wait for them to cross the entire crosswalk, then go. Why is this so hard to grasp?

I've almost been hit a few times. I've had somebody stop for me and the person behind them PASS - resulting in them seeing me on the crosswalk at the last second and screeching to a halt

I've often had one person coming from the right stop for me, but the people coming from the left (on my side) not stop - causing complete chaos and confusion - especially if this crosswalk is near an intersection where there are cars coming from all angles.

I've had some guy delivering newspapers zoom through the crosswalk while myself and my wife were halfway across. I shouted and shook my fist. Just down the road he was out of his van delivering the papers, saw us, and started shouting "here I am then - come on..". I crossed the road and a very vocal argument ensued. Luckily for him, he was in his 60's and only came up to my nipples - or I'm not sure I would have been able to control myself

I'm originally from England. In England, drivers stop if you're WAITING to cross at a crosswalk. See the word "WAITING" there? OK, not always, but the vast majority of the time. So why in the US can you be actually ON the damn crosswalk and people still won't stop!

Not only is it dangerous, but it's just plain rude and disrespectful.

I'm made mad as hell by morons who install 800,000 watt stereos with 120dB
subwoofers in their frickin' cars. I was sitting at a stoplight the other day and
I hear this car approaching from the opposite direction. He was probably
2 blocks away when I first detected the bass thump. The genius doesn't
possess the brain-power needed to ascertain that he might want to turn the volume
down a bit. No...he sits at the intersection with the thing shaking and rattling,
so as to annoy everyone within earshot.
(Which was probably a quarter mile radius)
I wish I could drive around with a bazooka, blasting these jerks off the road.
For every kill, I'd paint a small symbol on my door, like the WW2
fighter and bombers did on their planes. I'd use a little speaker symbol.
The worst offenders usually have p.o.s. vehicles, with the stereo being worth
three times the car's value.
I really despise these jerks. When I rise to power, rest assured they'll be among the first to go.

I don't mind any stance, opinion or creed in life, as long as it's reasoned. There's space for us all out here. What I can't stand is people who never question their beliefs, or adapt to the obvious.

They never grow, prefering the sanctuary of their own ignorance. I suppose that in wierd sense I envy them. Ignorance truly is bliss.

Other slapstick scenarios that bother me intensely:

1) Someone being overly modest.
2) How are you? I'M DOING GREAT -- REALLY!!! (what's the point in asking?)
3) Northface anything
4) Knives
5) Hunting being the twisted conclusion to the logic: I'm a nature lover. Now really...

Yes, you are Wrong. The is the ATS MIX area which was created for our Radio Division. We can and will post anything we like to involve the membership in intelligent conversation that we can infuse into the ATS MIX, BTS MIX or ABOVE POLITICS shows.

A few things that REALLY get on my nipples!

1. People who think they deserve the job they're in without getting any better at it - simply because they've been there for so long. These are the same type of people who "delegate" nearly all of their workload while they sit idly by and chat around the office - this is one of the reasons why I refuse now to work in an office....

2. Rudeness - especially people who stomp / bang around whenever they feel like it as though they're entitled to.

3. Advertisments - especially when you're watching something, then on the advert break the TV company increases the volume output by 200% - it's like watch, watch, watch, BUY, BUY, BUY, watch, watch, watch, BUY, BUY, BUY - 50% of the reason why I don't watch TV anymore - the other 50% is simply because of the rubbish that is broadcast.

4. Materialistic idiots - a friend of mine is a traffic warden, he gave a guy a ticket once because he had been parked up somewhere in his Mercedes £3782973819738129 car for 3 hours - maximum stay 60 minutes NOT 60 hours!!!! Anyway - this guy comes back and says to my friend:

Idiot: "Oi, you, here, now";
Friend: "can I help you mate?";
Idiot: "Yeah - you can take your pathetic ticket back";
Friend: "Err, no I can't - you deserve it, you've overstayed the allotted time";
Idiot: "Ha, fine - I can afford it, I probably make your yearly wage in a month anyway you loser";
Friend: "Probably - but my wife and kids love me to pieces - your wife's probably sleeping with your best mate behind your back and I bet your kids hate you and wouldn't be too bothered if you never came home - it's quality of living and quality of life mate, I have it where it counts now run along you've got 30 days to pay the ticket"

The idiot screeched off wordless - I think there was a inkling of truth in that comeback, what do you think?

This is what really get's me irate...

Drivers who always wake up late for work and drive 90 mph on a 45 mph road and pass 3 cars just to slam on their brakes when they pass them or almost hit another car in the other incoming traffic lane. Politicians in general. My point of view is that politicians are selfish while statesmen are selfless. The whole presidential election process. Why do we need an electoral college? That kind of defeats the purpose of voting in my opinion. I'll be the first to admit that I refuse to vote for president because we have this b.s. you have to vote for a democrat or republican. Why don't we EVER see an independent at the debates?

Laws against consensual crimes. People punished for this are victims of laws that shouldn't exist, because it goes against our right to privacy. The way I see it, as long as we don't physically damage a non-consenting person or their property, there should be no law against it. People who know nothing about my job and decide to lecture me on how I am supposed to do it. I really hate it when people condescend me and I am supposed to just keep quiet and listen? Nah. I did that when I was younger. Now I don't care, even if its the man writing my checks. I WILL stand my ground. What I really love is when someone yells at you and expect you not to yell back.

ANGER is a gift. Everyone should learn to use it at any time it is needed, but control it.

To be honest, your 100th show was my first. But I loved it. Im going to go back and try to listen to all your previous podcasts and hopefully get caught up.

A lot of subject have been covered that piss me off but i have another one...people who accuse and don't give you a chance to speak.they are usualy bosses .for instance i worked in a factory making auto parts.rather than question me about a concern they might have and hearing what i have to say,the plant manager..his name is mel with thyssenn krupp fabco...,,would accuse.The shift that follwed would complain that i did not clean my work area well enough and one time complained that i did not restock with enough parts.The truth is at the end of the day i was always very busy.I left the work area cleaner than I found it and this product takes many different parts and i have to move a lot of things just to get get a pallet jack through to them.The towtruck needs to be bringing the parts over not me but they are also very busy sometimes.no one else restocks themselves so why is the stupid boss complaining to me?besides i would have parts stocked of every kind,their problem was always that they thought i did not do enough.I had many concerns with that particular company that they never discussed with me even after brining them up to their corporate headquarters in Windsor Ontario.Those people are scum
