This image has been taken in august 2008.

Notice the strange object in the sky.

The owner of the image is a co-worker of mine who is also reading these boards often.
Anyways i think he won't mind if i posted it here.

I personally i'm not 100% sure what it is. but does not look like a bird to me.

The usual explanation for these kind of blurred photo's which have saucer shaped or elongated objects in the sky is birds with their wings outstretched. However, I have to say it would be well worthwhile blowing the image up further to see if you can see any detail.
Nice pic. Thanks for posting it.

Interesting picture. Thanks for posting it. I agree it does not look like a bird.

Do you know if the person taking the picture observed the object? Can he tell us more about the speed and direction it was moving?

I totally agree.

I would have to say that its a fake. With that many people there more than one person would be talking about it.

Good try, but im not convinced.

Got to be a photoshop

Honestly, i don't see any mark of photoshopping, but i may be missing something here. Maestro28, thanks for sharing, the photo is not the original: to get the original would most likely allow us to see a better resolution of this shot: even if i'm unable to outline it, so far the bird explanation would make sense to me, but as said, i can't find any clue of photoshopping.

It's too blurry to say what it is or isn't with any certainty. Much blurrier than anything else in the photo... Looks out of place. If it is really there, i.e not a photoshop product, it has to be flying across the photo creating a motion blur. The image would not accurately portray the 'objects' real shape.

Would be interesting to get an opinion from Internos.

Prosaic answer... Could be a bird, but it's just a guess.

Ooops too late, Internos - you must have posted at the same time as me!

Well I know what I think it is.
I didn't know they had an interest in this kind of event.

Hard to say, it doesnt look fake. If you zoom in on it there really doesnt look like a look of pixel tampering between the object and the background so either someone did a very good job, rather than a 5 minute blur than someone like me could manage, or its a genuine photo.

If is real then the bird is a good explanation I guess, its out of focus which means a little movement blur could have changed the visible shape on film and a bird could be the culprit.

Some of you peoples debunks mak me laugh?

Theres loads of people so someone must have seen it. First up at the distance it appears to be its BEHIND the bikers, second off the are BIKERS and id image they are looking forwards at the road rather than skygazing along

Quite possible from that shot a bunch of bikers in helmets werent watching something in the sky behind them

100% photo shopped...look at pixel's all blocked up around object.

sorry but i enlarged zoom so much i cant post directly lol

The image itself is a bit blurry, so its hard to tell if the object has been inserted.

Still going from the main picture itself, it doesn't look like the 'ufo' is meant to be there. So i would say its a good job on photoshop.

If this is real then my apologise but i cant see it being so.

Well Ill be honest and say that doesnt look to me like an insterted object in photo shop.

It might eb some kind of colour smudge techniquebut it doesnt look to be something added at all, in every case ive seen (with people who work with PS) that things are added, the zoom clearly shows the irregualrity of pixels and you would have to spend some time zoomed correcting that.

Im no image expert so maybe its best left to one of those.

Assuming it wasn't photo'chopped', a likely candidate for the objects identity might be explained by the simple word: insect.

bzzzzzzt away the ignorance

It looks to me like it might be a bug not a bird or photoshop. I've had a couple of pictures developed with a bumblebee looking like this.

One thing to keep in mind is that we can't compare the appearance of the bikers with the one of the object, especially if it's a bird: if, as it could be, it's a bird leaving the trees to the left, then its appearance has to be blurred, its different appearance could be explained with the motion blur, indeed: another thing that comes to mind is a question: if one has to fake a photo, why doesn't add some object with some artificial appearance rather than an amorphic one? But i want to be completely honest on this one: i have NO IDEA what it could be, just adding some thoughts

ED:
I've just read crabmeat's post: yes, i wouldn't discard also the bug / insect explanation, BTW ...

Jpeg images, or any image that has ever been a jpeg, are 100 percent worthless as evidence of anything, even when no accusations of phtoshopping have been made. Due to the errors introduced by their inherantly lossy nature. And if you enlarge or enhance a jpeg, you only compound those errors. This I know from long experience. Good digital photographers steer clear of jpegs. You can get good compression ratios from the png image format, without lossiness.

Most likely a small bird flying past the camera at close range, that´s why its so blurry. And the object sure looks like some other "ufo" bird pictures i´ve seen.

The picture's name is jogeva treff. This name means moto meeting event in Estonia.
Then the photo was taken there meaning it's authentic. Here is the info. Photo 4.

members.tripod.com...

Every year, in August, there is held the moto-meeting “Jõgeva Treff” in Estonia. On
this moto-meeting you can meet bikers from different countries of Europe (about 800
bikers every year). At this photo you can see how local people welcome bikers.

Now to the issue. Is the UFO real? It is not added with photoshop. Don't be fooled
by the jaggies and artifacts, this is a low resolution, jpeg compressed picture so the
jaggies and artifacts around are perfectly natural. Still doubting? Here learn about it.

en.wikipedia.org...

en.wikipedia.org...

www.mardiweb.com...

Again, is this a real UFO or a posible bird, cloud, lens reflection etc? That is yet to
be determined. Good picture anyway.
