What is going on with Google Earth? (Related to October 14th)

I went to this link and switched between cloud and Infra-Red and could see missing spaces/clouds where the IR was, perhaps it is just missing data, but why would they not cover the North Pole? I know only a few people live near the polar circles but... Still?

If this is missing data, then not one satellite is covering the North Pole? Why?

because something is not "user friendly" doesn't mean that you should use an "ignorant friendly" source to promote something that has obviously been answered as a data source issue.

The pentagon, triangle and or other geometric patterns seen in images like this are what programs use to splice images together.

Perfect example is a soccer ball.
It's surrounded by pentagons because the shape is conducive towards rendering a sphere. As you zoom into Google Earth, you may get different patterns and shapes depending on which geometric fits whatever zoom level you have or whatever data chunk is available.

It's plainly a data problem. And just as a matter of interest, since when is Google Earth in real time? I thought it was a few years old? Or is it just the weather that's in real time?

I'm amazed @ certain people on this thread that appear 2 b soooo Smart that they keep coming back to show us how smart they really r! Some 1 started this thread because they had a curiosity, a question concerning certain images they found on google earth. No questions are stupid....that's the way I was raised. It's stupid not ask for the answer. A couple people here feel their IQ is way above this thread and make it quite clear to the rest of us. I'm a professional Motorcycle rider...I do not put down those that are just learning to ride..etc... everyone's got to start somewhere...at least they're trying..right? If u'r position is that google is stitching pieces together..hence what we see...state it, be nice about it...and go about your highIQ way! Simply...if you feel u'r to smart for the rest of us..why come back to tell us? Let us..with IQ's @80 and lower discuss what we wish to discuss, find answers for...what we wish to find answers for. All the smart people can start a threads on how to stop global warming.... or..how to fix our present economy... If you did that...I'm sure some us that are 80 and below will learn great things!!! Lets see the OP tells us that a 2000 mile long spaceship is blocking clouds and he can see it on google Earth therefor it proves Blossum Goodchild's point about Oct 14th...

yesterday, when i went outside, it was bright, sunny, not a cloud in the sky. today, there were clouds and drops of liquid falling from the sky! what could it be? ufos? alien invasion in the form of liquid entities? a government conspiracy to get make people moist? and to top it off, my computer mysteriously turned itself off when i shut it down.

Y'know, I joined this site just so I could reply to this threat...ha ha.

I first heard about the Oct 14th visit through someone who is very close to me. Instead of dismissing him as a looney-toon, I decided to investigate myself and see what I could get from this. At the very least, I could see where he's coming from.
I have no past 'experience' with Alien life, nor have I really thought about it before. I'm not religious. Basically, I just coast in life...nothing has been concrete or proven enough for me to believe in.
I find this all very fascinating. The GE Images are impressive. I personally have no idea what is happening here. It could be data dropping...it could be a Google Error...it could be a super spaceship...

I have to agree with the previous poster (sorry, don't remember your name...Motorcycle Teacher )...I think the whole point of these threads is for us to share ideas and express feelings. I personally don't think ANYONE here has actually PROVEN a point. Instead, we're just too easy to discredit eachother and call eachother out. We are here to Learn. Perhaps you're all wrong....maybe someone is right...but really, no one can say anything until the data has been talked about by Google themselves. Or actual -proof- to THIS situation has been obtained.
As for Blossom...No one can say she's lying. No one can say she isn't. The point here is that we all need to open our minds and accept what eachother are saying as just what it is-an opinion to a situation. We won't know anything until the day comes.
So let's just listen and discuss, instead of being mean to each other. It's not worth it

If your IQ was literally below 80, you probably wouldn't be here discussing ANYTHING. And you'd probably be bound to a wheel chair.


In any event, the question has been answered sufficiently. The problem is when people CONTINUE to talk about it as if it HASN'T been answered. If they have a problem with the answer, they can research the topic.

By the way Zorgon, and anyone else interested, I believe this thread COMPLETELY shuts down Goodchild's predictions. Afterall, she has said since that she has talked with the beings and they are claiming responsibility for this incomplete data set by saying it is actually THEIR spaceships.

Goodchild doesn't even have a shred of credibility at this point.

Which clouds? I do not see any clouds on the image you posted, it just shows Antartica without any cloud cover.

Right, but ignoring the answers to our questions is not very intelligent, and judging by some posts that has happened some times on this thread.

If someone posts what he/she knows about the way Google creates their images (and that knowledge is available to everyone interested, it's not a secret) I don't see how that can be seen as a sign that that person has or thinks that he/she has a higher IQ, knowledge is not directly linked with IQ (and most IQ measurements are highly controversial).

PS: ATS asks us not to use the kind of way of writing you are using, with those abbreviations like "2", "b" or "r", and as someone that has some troubles understanding English I would thank you if you would stop using that way of writing.

The images you posted last actually brought another thing to mind. Look at Antarctica, you can see the pentagon in the contours of the coast line.

I was thinking about this earlier when everyone was posting the images from the Arctic. The data set seems to stitch up right along the land features of Russia, for instance (and the smaller outlying islands).

The point is, the lines of this "void" often follow key geographical locations. It factors in to the way they scan the surface of the planet, imo.


Editing to add: I think that the poster who was recently commenting on the "IQ" of members was referring to someone else's post to the effect of "How does it feel to have an IQ of >140"... That particular person said that listening to people in here was like having a conversation with someone of an IQ
