Was just checking sky news out and noticed they have a link in the middle of the main page to watch LIVE coverage of the bailout debate. The sound is a bit scratchy though.

Thanks for posting the link.

This is going to be a wild ride today.

Thanks for the link . . .

I don't know that it is going to be all that wild. The DOW is up about 125 in early trading which seems to point that the business infrastructure has already sucked up the inevitable and it is business as usual . . .

I'd expect that in the debate, there's going to be a whole lot of congressional reps standing up saying how awful this all is, how things will crumble without an extortion package for their cronies, the world will end etc. etc. etc, then do what their campaign funders want . . . vote in favour of mortgaging the country's already dismal future.

I watching it now, but it seems as though it's not going to pass, out of the 15 people i've seen come up....14 have said they are voting no!

The NO vote is only slightly ahead of the Yea vote, do they have to have a particular margin? 2/3 or 3/5?

Are they voting on the package right now . . . if so, it is going down in flames again.

Nope this isn't the vote either, they are doing small little votes on rules and such and then there will be a 90 min debate and then the vote

oh my GOD . . . a vote to vote on the vote to vote what the vote is about, which has to be phrased in the form of a question unless altered by a vote.
