Flying Manta Ray Filmed at 20,000 ft. From Airplane Window

This film is obviously fake, especially the supllemental pictures that were given to support the claim. Either the ray was dubbed in afterward, or it was the plane and ground that were dubbed in from a ray floating through blue water. Either way, you can see the obvious effects where the ray was somehow placed into the video.

Final verdict: FAKE

How heavy are Manta Rays anyway? It seems to me that that the beating of the things wings are too slow to keep such a heavy, bulky looking object airborne! I agree with most of the people on here that the pics do look photo shopped.
It can't be real so somewhere in this video there has to be a lie. In this case I think it's with the height element. This may be a video taken from a plane which is skimming the waves and the Manta Ray may be swimming along a couple of metres below the surface! I hope so anyway! It's bad enough birds doing their business on your head without the added peril of Manta Ray s**t falling from the skies. . .

There is honestly no way a creature could be flying that fast if it's wings/winglike appendages were oscillating at such a slow rate.

Unless, of course, it glided in from space.

Did France have UFO sightings back then.

Film effects were common from the inception of film and made
it hard for organic magic acts.

I'd say the Illuminati/CIA got together a film crew and lab and
put this out to make fun of off shore saucer stories.

Same as they do today.

Well, I'm not an expert about manta rays, but I am a crapola expert.

I'm sure someone will have already said this but I'm pretty sure it is two Canada Geese flying, one just above the other and with the poor quality film, the dark colours blend to make it appear as it's one big flying beastie.

Might not be Canada geese, I'm not too good at naming birds but I am 99% sure it is too large birds flying, one above the other.

I have to agree with you on this. They can become air born for a short time, and must return to the sea. But, on the other hand, there is nothing to prevent the existence of another unknown creature that is physically similar being able to live out of the water, if that is where it comes from, for greater periods of time.

New discoveries are made of prehistoric and previously unknown species from time to time. In Vietnam a few years back two, two, new species of deer were discovered. It was covered in the news for a very short time, then, poof, as though someone waived a magic wand, the story disappeared.

If you allow me I would like to interject a possible hidden variable. What if the stories of the "Creators" were not fiction or myth. What if they really did exist, and still do. Would that not force you to reconsider, or at the very least look at the possibilities?

It defiantly does appear that there is something extra ordinary going on.

I have to agree with serveral people here. No way a monta ray can fly as fast or as high as a plane. Get real. We would have heard more of these claims if this was true.

To get laughs, maybe by a few, but he did bring up a valid point. Who benefits from this? Who would create nonsense to occupy the minds of the gifted? Well, who is begging for 700 billion presently. Your not looking at capital hill, now are you...

Come on man, it's youtube. I don't think the government is going to create terribly edited videos of flying manta rays to distract people from the financial crisis.

There are so many Steve Irwin jokes here it's too easy.

Hey man, no disrespect at all when I say this....

You debunked a photo that has nothing to do with the footage....

Like I've said before....I could care less about the garbage presented before and after the airplane footage.

I thought my screen shots would have cleared that up.....

I guess not....

If you would kindly try and debunk the 1948 footage of the creature/craft/hoax it would be beneficial to the thread.....

I thought that was pretty cool up until the end with the still photos.
