16 US troops commit suicide in Iraq

I don't know if this story is true or not and it needs to be corroborated with witnesses and evidence but I have thought of one possible alternative scenario: that our troops were poisoned. I have a hard time understanding why there is an absolute rush to judgment and that rush is always that the U.S. is doing something terribly evil. This is not a justified conclusion. In any event, just throwing this out there.

I’m just going to throw this out there no one died. The news is false there is not alternative scenario here. Because no one died, don't play in to propaganda and lies there is no 57th there is no mass suicide or as you assert poisoning, there is just no facts to back up any clames of a mass anything on a F.O.B (forward operating base) there just is not.

Did you check out the statistics on military suicide rates posted in this thread?

Hell, maybe the 'Iran Propaganda' just got the unit wrong these men belonged to. I am very skeptic about this article based on how it was written and its inconsistencies. However, considering the suicide rates, I am open to the idea they just got some facts wrong on a factual event.

Airborne Division? 101st? 82nd? 57th what? this is propaganda and very lean on realistic details.

I would like to say that this is probably all just propaganda, however even if it were not, what are we as US citizens going to do about it? Are we going to bring all the soldiers home and leave Iraq? It changes nothing. If one hundred soldiers committed suicide, we will still have this war. If true, it is a terrible tragedy. War is a terrible tragedy, there is loss of innocent and guilty, women, men and children. It is not a just thing..War is not fair...A soldier cannot prepare himself for what will happen from one day to the next. He doesnt know if tommorrow will be the day that he dies. I am sorry for the children of Iraq, I am sorry for the mothers here in the US who loose thier child. In a perfect world there would not be terrorist, and no country would allow a terrorist organization to use there country as a base. I dont think for one moment that we are innocent, neither do I think that Iraq is innocent. We will loose our loved ones, and so will Iraq. I do not beleive that we know everything that happens in Iraq, if we did, it would be hard for us to sleep at nights. A soldier is not a normal person, he is like a robot, but you have to understand that this is how he must be..if not, he would never survive. He only knows that he has to kill to live. Think of it if everyday, every second, you expect a bullet or a bomb to rip you apart..Just support our soldiers for what they must do. It is not always the right thing, it is not always the honorable thing, its sometimes fear, sometimes anger, sometimes its just instinct. If these soldiers did commit suicide, just pray for them and all the other soldiers there. They are human, and they do have a heart, but in war, you have to bury your heart, and your feelings. It is not a game, and I am sure without a doubt that those men and women will have nightmares for the rest of thier lives for what they have had to do. Propaganda or not...does it really matter. We do not see all that happens in this war, and we never will. It is war, and it will keep its secrets.

Well put but the point of this thread was that 16 American solders killed them self’s and the fact is they did not! My point is still valid as for the suicide rate of the us army check it ageist the civilian suicide ratesuicide rates

30,000 suicides a year WOW now you can argue all day long that the military has less members so your rates are higher per capa that however would be wrong I know less than 1% of the us joins the military. But still your rates are far higher than ours.

It looks at data from 2002-2006 and was conducted from July to November 2007. The report compares depression levels and suicide rates in all 50 states and the District of Columbia and uses the information to highlight solutions to improve states' mental health status.

This post seems possible. The point of view that the gov. is responsable
for their deaths is a view that I would take on this. The U.S. gov. has been doing experiments on their own people fo quite sometime but they never seem to get caught. I say that the gov. did kill these people using somekind of mind controlling weapon. The gov. uses weapons that send radio waves to their specified target and these weapons can change the brain chemistry of the individual. In other words the gov. can make a person go insane with these weapons to where the person has no other choice but to end it. Especially if the persons aren't informed of this kind of torture

Then why doesn't the Govt' use this miracle weapon on the enemy and return victorious to the US? We win AND the troops come home. Everyone is happy!

Wow what are you smokin and it must be good. its very counter productive to kill off your troops in a war kinda makes it easier for the other side. And as an instructor wants said to me its not your job to die for your country its your job to make sure they die for theres.

This is why we need to get American troops out of that theatre of operations as soon as possible.
The troops have internet.
They can see the conspiracy theories posted on various sites around the world and are beginning to question their own 'purpose'.

I deeply feel for these fellows as I was there myself in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm for 10 months though 'our' enemy was easy to spot since they wore uniforms of which identified themselves as a foe.

Now we are in a situation of where the enemy is unkown and mass paranoia and confusion has prevailed. Many 'terrorists' have infiltrated the new Iraqi army and have therefor compromised the security of not only US but the new Iraqi army. No one knows who to trust.

Israeli/American spies or agents have conducted a multitude of false flag operations and disinformation in the media of which the international banking cartel own outright.

The sad truth is that this whole 9/11 scenario, WTC93, USS Liberty, WMD report were tools of the trade in getting us into this war in the first place.

The American people are not to blame but rather the International banksters of which put this whole scheme together.

With thorough research, one will discover that the Mossad and Likud party were the ones who planned and executed the mission.

The idea was to get US troops in between Israel and its enemies, kill off as many Arabs as possible, establish a permanent base to protect Israel from its enemies and divide and conquer Iraq via false flag operations and disinformation in the media. Arrange false flag operations to have Sunnis and Shiites fighting each other, therefor postponing the war and a secure Iraqi military to uphold the law of their land.

The oil companies are owned by these same international banksters of whom profiteer immensly while achieving their ultimate desire for world domination and control.

These international banksters have been using this approach since the late 1700's to conquer every nation via financial indebtness. They have 'strategically' placed operatives within the DoD, Dept. of Homeland Security, NSA, Mossad, CIA, FBI etc.

Most of these agents are dual Israeli/American citizens guilty of committing various acts of espionage and high acts of treason. They should pulbicly tried at an international war tribune and dealt with accordingly.

Bush was fed false WMD by these same agents who whisper in is ear the next plan of attack for the purpose of a NWO.

We had the military and the might therefor America was chosen to perform these operations for benefit of the controlling powers to be.

Is there any wonder the 9/11 investigation was administered, controlled, and quickly covered up these same dual Israeli/American citizens? AIPAC planned the whole scheme and Mossad carried it out. There is abundant evidence of this all over the net.

Its a clear violation to the US constitution to have a dual citizen hold a high office within our govt. Its crazy this has been permitted in the first place since they've pledged loyalty to Israel. How can they be entrusted with the security of Americans and the other G8 countries? Does anyone wonder why Israel is the only country allowed to uphold these positions of power within our govt.?

Our country as well as most G8 countries around the world have been infiltrated by the Mossad of whom is the preferred 'enforcer' for the international banking cartel. They have the most advanced intelligence network throughout the world and 90% of these intelligence companies America use for its own security are based in Israel. Does this make any sense? This is just another clear violation to our Constitution as well as the establishment of the Fed. Reserve system of which is a private consortium of international banksters of which continue to rob and bankrupt our Country as well as every other country which has been forced into bankruptcy.

When these banksters control the supply of money (of which they do for all G8 countries) they call the shots and change the laws. Money truely is the root to all evil and I can't think of a better example.

By the way, we arent forced to kill innocent civilians. It's called a violation of the Law of Armed Conflict and if we are given such an order we are to disobey the order and report it.

This is obviously propaganda, the article itself is from as Iranian news agency has many instances of anti American propaganda in it, 1 mass suicides don't just happen on military bases. 2 notice how the Iranians said they killed themselves because they felt bad about killing women and children I lol at that Pro Pa Gan Da. 3. they said it was by narcotics..... a Vietnam stereotype not typically present in today's volunteer military (not saying it doesn't happen, it does, but its really hard to do over there especially.)

Thank you very much for your service I appreciate the help apparently the people who never been in the armed forces just think were mindless zombies it amazes me the arrogance from people who seek the truth, They don't even bother to ask someone who's been to Iraq!

The Airforce had a 57th Air Division but thats pretty much it. This sounds like some propaganda from the otherside to me.

Does the 57th even exist? I heard it has not since 1980.

The thing is, I can't remember where I heard this, but something like one out of every 20 guys down there commit suicide. Not usually in a group though. I don't blame a one of them for doing it. They are truly not prepared for what they see and have to do there. And they know what they are coming back to. Which is a cold and heartless world that doesn't really help vets at all.

If I was told to kill innocent children and women, I might consider it myself. That is a lot to ask of anyone.
