It's not where he was born.It's how old his mother was at the time of his birth.She was under 21 and the father was not a citizen of the U.S. Therefore his citizenship would fall back to the country of his patronage.

I am not sure that this picture makes me feel happy.
Something seems odd about it.
I wish they would have produced some other certificates from that time, with the same paper and seal.
I wonder why it looks funny in the crease.

Actually at that time state law said she had to be 19 to pass on citizenship. She according to her birth certificate was 18. The law was not retroactive when the age was changed to 18 years later.

Yep. Like I said she was under 21.I don't believe Obama's birth will stand up under scrutiny.

Wow. I doubt very much that this will hold up (and by the way I wouldn't vote for any of these clowns: Obama, McCain, Clinton, Paul....any of them. In fact I'd go so far as to say there isn't single candidate who expressed interest in running who I'd vote for. None of them are good enough.)

Yet, let's say for the sake of argument: they throw out his eligibility. What then? Does Hillary automatically become the Democratic nominee? Or does McCain just get to be President by default? Or do they delay the election and have more primaries? This is a little late in the game eh?

If Obama is indeed constitutionally ineligible for the presidency then I say Right ON. Mr Berg may be a hero.

Phillip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit--just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver--for the health of the Democratic Party.

I would be a bit worried about this if I were Obama.

How conveniently simple would it be for a Clinton appointed judge to rule that Barack Obama is not legally eligible to be president based on _____.

Ten minutes later Hillary gets the call saying she is back in the game.

Dont think it could happen? Better ask yourself exactly what favors may be called in by the Clintons and just what level are they willing to stoop to see Obama taken out of the picture.


My guess would be that they would do anything to get the Hildabeast back on that ticket, and that includes having him legally disqualified.


Just my $0.02. Honestly I could care less, but it certainly would be something to see.

Nader would seem to me to be the best "none of the above" vote.
I do not want anyone to not vote because of the dems and repubs.

So Hillary will be in cali on Monday and has the weekend open on Saturday for the announcement. If he is excluded due to the court case not being finished in time.

Just a word on birth certificates.

Until not many years ago, if you needed a birth certificate to join the military, get married, etc. you went to vital statistics, or in some states the health department, and what you were given was what, today, is called a "long form" or "vault copy" birth certificate.

It was a reproduction, from microfilm or fiche, of a printed form filled in using a typewriter and signed (assuming a hospital birth) by the doctor who delivered you.

The supposed birth certificate Obama is displaying -- which may be genuine, I don't claim to know -- is a more recent creation, the "short form" or "transcript." It's an excerpt of info on the "vault copy," contains less info, and is a computer-generated thing that, certainly, would be easier to phony up. These did not exist before computers came into widespread use -- probably around the mid 1980s.

My NY birth certificate from the early '50s has (among other stuff) the hour of my birth; the towns (not just states) where my parents were born; my mother's address at my birth, how many children she had before me, how many of those were living, my father's occupation and workplace, and a handwritten signature of the MD who delivered me.

The (NY) transcript just has name of baby, mother and father; baby's birthdate, hospital where born, date of birth.

Obama's Hawaii transcript has hour of birth but, curiously, does not name the hospital. Very odd.

Details vary from State to State. My point is that Obama must have had a long form birth certificate which, in Hawaii in 1961, would (like my NY long form from a decade before) would have been typewritten, or conceivably even filled in by hand, on a printed form.

I can tell from experience that foreign governments will not accept a transcript -- I have adopted a child from overseas, and obtained dual citizenship in Italy through through my wife's descent from her Italian-born grandfather. Neither country would touch a transcript, they wanted vault copies. With certificates, corroboration from the local county clerk, and an apostille.

We should see Obama's vault copy, which might lay the issue of where he was born to rest. I don't know that the transcript on display is phony, but absolutely phonying up a transcript would be relatively simple.

So you're suggesting, that despite the fact that Obama was born an American citizen, he is not qualified to run for the office of president.

You can't do it. Neither can he.

His fake Certificate of Birth has been ripped to shreds as being false - a doctered up Photoshop image of his sister's original Certificate of Birth, who was born in Hawaii.

I had to think about it for a while and now have to call B.S.!
That is not a copy of the original.
That is the only birth certificate that is legal.
What they are showing is heavy colored paper run through a printer.
It is new. A new document. It is as real as the military record of W.Bush that Dan Rather tryed to pass of as authentic.
They have a piece of paper but the only real certificate is the one made when you are born.
Legally, you can substitute a photocopy of the original, with the seal and signature.
So this failes on two counts, because there is no signature, just a stamp.
This could never even be used to get a drivers license.
Take a look at what you used to get a drivers license.
You will see it is a photocopy with a seal and an actual signature on it.
They had to do some sort of enhancement to the original photo of the certificate to bring out the stamp because it only looks like a smudge in the bigger pic.
This is a ridiculous hoax and anyone who accepts this is a fool.

Why would he have not gotten a copy before 2007.
Why can't we see the one that Obama must have had for years?
On this stamp it says "copy or abstract". An abstract is not proof.
Correction:
I think this is not even on the front. It is a seperate photo because it is on the back of the document. What I thought was a smudge is probubly the ink from the date stamp bleeding through the paper, from the other side.

Look towards the top of this little picture, it looks like the reverse of the date. Is that normal? to have such a harsh date stamp.

No one has been able to get records of Obama's college years at any university and he says he has lost his dissertation and Harvard doesn't seem to have a copy.

The Annenberg Challenge from the Annenberg Foundation was a project that Obama and Ayers worked on from either 1987 to 1999 or from 1995 to 1999. A reporter had been given permission to view these files, but then was called at the last minute and was refused.

Long story short, maybe because of Berg's lawsuit, according to Greta Wire the files will be released for view on Tuesday, 8/26/08.

Originally, Obama had said that Ayers was just a neighbor that he spoke to once in awhile because their children went to the same school. Ayers' children are young adults and Obama's children are 7 and 10 yrs. old. Plus, they were co-workers on the Annenberg Project for several years.

I've not been able to find the exact report yet, but on another website someone posted that Wayne Madsen, Journalist with Online Journal had reported on June 9, 2008 that the GOP had a search team in Kenya. They were able to locate a record at a maternity hospital of Obama's birth in Mombasa, Kenya. Perhaps others could search for its validity.

Berg also turned over documents to Judge Surrick regarding Obama's school record in Indonesia where his name is Barry Soetoro, and his religion is listed as Islam.

Hope this helps in clarifyiing some information.

This is late in the game, and to allow the case to go through, but deny the restraining order is going to make for some tight situations. After the questions were brought up before, I was wondering if McCain was going ensure that this would be done, within weeks of the election. I could see a stunt like that happening. Now doing this from the democrat side is a pretty transparent move from the Clinton camp in my opinion. However, considering the exact wording of the Constitution, and several issues including whether he was actually born in Kenya, his mothers age, and whether he actually lost American citizenship when he was moved to Indonesia, these things are technical issues, and as they could be used against him by the Republicans last minute, they should have been dealt with alot earlier.
