I served. And guess what? It doesn't make me special in anyway. It doesn't make my opinion automatically right. It doesn't mean people should value my opinion more, and it certainly doesn't mean I'm a better person. Even more importantly, it's not even close to being a valid response in a debate.

As someone who has served, people who use the service as a debating tool in fact make me sick.

How about over 90,000 CIVILIAN iraqi deaths? I guess a CIVILIAN is ok to kill right? We lose 4,000 solders no civilians (iraq didnt bomb the towers, dont blame those deaths on them). We invade their country to kill a terrorist threat and end up killing at least 90,000 CIVILIANS? Shame on you George. Shame on us as a nation. Shame on whoever posted this thread. Those are human lives. Bush should be in prison. No wait, all of the greedy capitalist government scum should be in prison, but instead hide behind laws and lies.

Assuming those numbers are real, does that make the following ok?

Complete disregard for Constitutional law

approval of torture as a method for interorgation even though it's been shown that torture is NOT an affective method for retreiving information.

Illegal wire tapping program

No fly lists even though they are GROSSLY inaccurate.

Falsifying intelligence to start the iraq war.

lifting the windfall tax on oil companies.

extraordinary rendition and illegal imprisonment and torture of innocent world citizens.

Oh and let's not forget that by falsifying intelligence to start the iraq war, he caused the deaths of 4000+ US soldiers not to mention the deaths of soldiers from other countries and innocent iraqi civilians.

etc....

Clinton was involved in some of the most atrocious acts of barbarism - he is not to be excused. The no fly zones whcih were never approved by the UN but rather imposed by the US and UK were a tacit excuse to bomb iraq almost daily for ten years - the sacntions imposed were under any measure aimed at he people which is a war crime.

It is a stone cold FACT that over half a million children died during this act of incomprehensible act of inhumanity - half a million children which Madeline Albright called an acceptable loss.

Where are the death tolls caused by these presidents outside of the US - as usual Americans only caring about Americans - left or right.

The use of f 117 night hawks to obliterate innocent civilians in Panama still counts as one of the worst acts of barbarism by any president - something I am sure you are all gleefully unaware of.

The death toll of Bush runs into the millions- at least Clinton in his efforts in eastern Europe had the pretext of nation building - Iraq has quite simply been wiped off the map - along with its people, heritage and future.

Defending Bush goes straight into the basket of Nazi apologetics - you can spin things how ever you want, believe what you wish, say what you will - but this is one of thre greatest war crimes of the last hundred years - Bush.

Wow, as soon as the moderator came in and provided the deaths due to 'hostile' action TM just disappeared. That is hilarious.

He is trying to justify the illegal actions of this administration and to belittle the deaths of our brave troops.

Yes, he served but he is serving no justice to this country and what it stands for by trying to pull this kind of crap out of his....well, you know. Trying to state that Bush is not responsible for the actions of his administration and the deaths of hundreds of thousands in the name of big arms profit and big oil profit.

Shame on you TM. SHAME SHAME!

Thank you. I have had that BS statement/question thrown at me a few times. Yeah, I served but I DON'T use it to justify anything. I use my brain which is pretty much the opposite of what I was trained to do in SERVICE to this country.

Just because I could have served in a war does not make that war any less illegal. Thank GOD I have been out long enough to avoid recall because I WOULD protest this president and war very dilligently.

He is still an poor excuse for a president!!!!!!!!!!

He has no care for the little poeple and only care about the super rich and he'll say just barely enough to get by with out causing a riot with the low class of poeple. Oh i'm sure there are masses out there who have been brained washed into loving the man but he still is NOT someone i would ever want to meet.

I am NOT a bush fan, and for good reason. He is the worst president in U.S. history. He has ignored the Constitution. He is a horrible public speaker, with diction and sentence structure like his, it makes me question if he even stepped foot in a class room. I personally can not wait to say Sionora to his reign of non-intelligence. 09' can't get here soon enough.
I am absolutely disgusted with his performance as Commander in Chief.
He is an embarrasment to the American people and what we all stand for.
He couldn't find Bin Laden so proceeds to attack someone else and kill their civilian population and "spread Democracy" to distract the American public. What about that isn't wrong? To my knowledge, Bush Jr. has never uttered a poiniant sentence in his life. But I'll keep looking for that one.
Keep in mind, this is only MHO.

And how many of those cited are from military action? Few is my guess... 14,000+ under Clinton? Prove it. What conflicts and where?

The only reason only 4000+ have died in Iraq and Afghanistan is that our medical system for treating serious injuries have gotten so much better... nothing more or less.

Right. And the 14k+ during Clinton's reign was cut down to 1 from hostile conflict.

The point that I want to make is that everything keeps speaking of the deaths as the key talking point. Sorry, but there are 10's of thousands of men and women who are permanently disabled because of this war. Plus these stats don't take into account the suicides and such that many do after or during their tours.

It's disgusting what the OP was trying to do and he truly should be ashamed. Or, maybe he just didn't do his due diligence and THOUGHT he was being patriotic by trying to support this president who is guilty of so many crimes that any other person in this country would be hanging from a rope by now.

Just 1 death would be too much in my opinion, especially since the war is based around 9/11 which was essentially a false flag operation; a self-inflicted wound as it were. The evidence supporting this is huge and undeniable.

I dont understand how seemingly intelligent individuals could buy in to the media that is so left wing biased. The unfortunate thing is when you say that Bush is a war monger or Bush is doing this for oil - there are no FACTS to support this, only people regurgitating stupid lies. Everything he
has done was support by the congress and senate - s000 I guess our entire political process are war mongers and oil seekers. Its easy to
criticize when your in your safe home - At least he is trying to make a
difference - are you?

"With just 75 days before his successor is elected, has President George W. Bush finally lost the plot? Some of the cockiness has gone out of his walk. A pleading tone has replaced the threats. Instead of issuing a High Noon threat over Russia's aggression towards its neighbours, he complains that their ' bullying and intimidation are not acceptable ways to conduct foreign policy in the 21st century'. Look who's talking!"

Everyone read this article.....it pretty good and sums up the whole of the Bush term...

www.dailymail.co.uk... ca-wait-rid-Bush.html

We all know he is just a puppet for the bankers and oil companies. If we are to believe the Illuminati is the top of the tree Im so surprised they chose such a dumb ass of a guy to be President. I dont swear much but this guy is a [SNIP] idiot.
