I served. And guess what? It doesn't make me special in anyway. It doesn't make my opinion automatically right. It doesn't mean people should value my opinion more, and it certainly doesn't mean I'm a better person. Even more importantly, it's not even close to being a valid response in a debate.
As someone who has served, people who use the service as a debating tool in fact make me sick.

The only reason only 4000+ have died in Iraq and Afghanistan is that our medical system for treating serious injuries have gotten so much better... nothing more or less.
