In just about every sightings report the aliens always look the same way to the people who've been abducted or simply saw "Mr. Gray" while mowing the lawn or hanging up the wash. It seems to me as if all the aliens who come to Earth have the same distinct features and all the reports of aliens that look any different are genrally regarded as crap. But why? Is there a reason all aliens have to be 98 pound sticks with huge heads and giant almond eyes? What if the aliens were to be a different evolutionary path? And I'm not talking about the strangely humanoid freaks from Star Trek or Star Wars either, is there a reason all intelligent beings from other planets have to look for the most part human? What if the alien craft opened up and a jellyfish floated out the door, or a 6-legged dog came out and spoke perfect english?

It's enough of a quandary to decide to investigate people's perceptions of visitors from other worlds. There might be a few REAL sightings of these 98-pound sticks, but I'm thinking that Earth has had more diverse visitors than just the ones we read about in the news or see on tv. How about it?

Ok cool, so then when I harken to my sighting of a humanoid alien I saw when I was 10... I'm not going to be laughed off the stage. I'll enlighten you all on that topic if you wish to read into it, but right now, I kinda want to keep it under wraps.

Why on earth do you want to keep it under wraps?

I've thought on this one myself.

Most people want to rule out many possible answers to one: usually based on which has the most evidence. In this case, the majority of people who have an alien encounter describe them befitting to the greys. (Or grAys, whatever) This is why most everyone seems to get the notion that ALL alien beings look this way.

My personal belief, well, I just don't know. I have never seen an alien. I would love to, but I haven't. I don't think they all look the same. Whether it be that there are many different planets visiting us, or just different forms of "greys" like reds and blues. I personally don't want to believe in most alien claims. I'm a tough one to convince. The ones I am most compelled to believe are the new, and never heard of accounts.

I believe opposingly to most. While much UFO enthusiasts consider pictures as proof of legitimacy, I see it as proof of ILlegitimacy. This is because of the appalling rate at which "proof" is faked.

I told everyone I could when I first saw it, and I was laughed at and called out to just have "a wild imagination". So even though I saw what I saw, and believe it to be real, it's still a strain on my character to reveal it to people who may or may not be receptive to what I've seen.

Well, you opened a thread on it, so I wouldn't hesitate now. Plus, this is the internet. You have no real "character" here.

What is it that you saw? Though I say I'm a tough one to convince, I also say that if this is outside of most claims I'm more open.

I've always thought the "greys" were biological machines. Something created to man probes and collect data. That's why they all look alike: they all essentially are. Somebody presses a button or, at worst, casts some bones, and these things act.

This is just my opinion of course. I'd love to hear about your experience, personally. Nobody here will judge you for it.

Ok, so when I was 10, I slept over at a friend's house for a birthday party thing. Anyway, I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. (we were all in a tent in the back yard) when I left the tent to walk to the house, I looked to the open pasture on the right side of the yard ( the site is now a Wal-Mart by the way). In the field, was this silver football looking craft with some dark figure working at what I'd imagine was the engine. But there were also 2 scouts walking in a partol around the field, probably making sure any visitors wouldn't get nosy. They were green-skinned, roughly 6 feet tall, and probably weighed around 200 pounds. Their eyes, 3 of them, were on stalks at the top of their heads (like a snail). Also their hands had a thumb and 3 fingers, it appeared (in the light of the full moon and the eerie blue glow coming from a spotlight at the top of the craft) that the ring and middle fingers were fused together in a single finger.

The scouts were also armed, they carried rifles. And they spoke english, with their mouths... not telepathically. I peed in my pants, having forgotten why I got out of the tent at the sight of these beings. Then, I spoke, softly at first and louder later. I'm still unsure as to why I tried to get their attention. But when they finally noticed that I was watching them, they ran back to their craft and started the engine. This is probably why they were in the field in the first place, the engine sounded rough and choppy (kind of like the noise the ships made in the 1950 something version of "War of the Worlds") which I'm assuming was supposed to be silent. It also rose quite slowly, and didn't fly off all that fast either. but once it was gone, I ran back to the tent and woke my friends up spouting off about the aliens that landed in the yard. They called me "bedwetter" and said I was dreaming.

Hopefully you all won't laugh too hard.
Thanks.
Cru

How far away were these scouts in the field from you?

I don't find it humorous in the least. I think that perhaps you could be off by a few details, since it was night. Or was there some kind of light? Did you say something about a light? Can't remeber.

I'm not absolutely sure this is true, but I'll take your word for it. It certainly IS something outside of most alien claims. [Even though it sounds like you're describing the Buzz Lightyear alien off of Toy Story

What kind of suits or uniforms did they have on? Did they carry any weapons? They spoke English? What did they say? Interesting story.

The scouts were patrolling roughly 15 yards away from me. And the rifles they were carrying looked unlike any rifle I've ever seen before...

They spoke English, but what I remember were small reports like "All clear" and "Repair progress?" But when they spotted me, I remember one of them saying "Doesn't appear to be hostile, but we should leave anyway."

Also there were 2 light sources, the craft they were guarding and working on had a blue-white spotlight on top which seemed to be shining on the dark figure working on the engine. But also, that night happened to be a Full Moon, so there was relatively bright moonlight illuminating the area too.

Interesting. You could distinguish how many fingers they had, and that some of these fingers were "fused" together, from 15 yards away at night.

Also interesting is the American colloquial language used by these aliens: "All clear."

Good story you got here

My encounter at age 10 was not my only one with these beings... They'd come to Earth at least 30 times, and I witnessed about half of these occurences until I was age 14... In my later experiences I was able to get a rather up close and personal view of them. But that particular night, one of the scouts appeared to wave to either me or some other person when I'd been spotted. This also allowed me to see the "fused" digits on their hands.

Although all of my encounters with these beings are quite vivid in my mind, they get a little jumbled over time, since I'm now 24 my memory is a little fuzzy on certain specifics of their "visits" to Earth. Although the speaking English thing is one part of my experiences that I will never forget about it all.

Also, one of you had asked about clothes, the aliens were not running around naked if that's what you were wondering. But I can't be exactly sure what it was that they were wearing. All I can be sure of is that the fabric (when viewed up close) was a kind of teal blue color, and that it had a kind of sparkle to it when a light was shone on it.

So the plot thickens. You didn't think to mention the fact that these sightings were not an isolated incident, but occurred over a 4 year time period? I wonder how much the story will continue to grow the more questions are thrown at you.

Also, how exactly do you know that they'd visited at least 30 times when you only witnessed about half of them? Did they just seem to particularly like your field? Did they tell you this?

So because one of them waved their hand in the air, that somehow shrank the 15 yard distance at night?

Yes, I can see how perhaps the most remarkable occurrence of one's life would tend to get fuzzy as well.

I assure you I'm not making this up... Their crafts always had this "blue spotlight" on top which allowed me to see that they were "visiting" earth. As for my encounters with them in person, they were always armed with these rifles... They never came down to sit and chat with the local fauna. These were not particularly "kind" aliens. They didn't always come to this same field either...

There was a clearing behind my grandma's trailer park they tended to land in as well. As well as the two occasions where the landed in a clearing in the woods behind my uncle's place. They appeared to be on some sort of scouting mission. I was always curious as to why they were here and what they were doing. But at the same time, I was hiding in the bushes or running into high grass and ducking down. After my friends completely rejected my stories of these beings and their visits to Earth, I became scared to tell people about my experiences. Thus my numerous encounters with whatever theses beings were became jumbled and disorganized. They more so did this when I decided to kill my nightmares by writing the beings into my sci-fi novel. Sometimes, especially with the oldest of my encounters, the truth is jumbled with a lot of the fiction I wrote for the novel, however, the beings' appearance, the weapons they carried, and the language they spoke remained constant and therefore are the single things I take away from my experiences as being the most true of everything I've spoken of thus far.
