US President George W. Bush has warned Russia to reverse course in Georgia, saying Moscow's military strike there had damaged its world standing and endangered ties with the United States and Europe.
"Russia has invaded a sovereign neighbouring state and threatens a democratic government elected by its people.
"Such an action is unacceptable in the 21st century," Mr Bush said at the White House today.
