Well, if one believes in String theory then other dimensions HAVE to exist lol

so, yes i do.

You are not the only one that finds this interesting. Scientists call what you are interested in "string theory" in which there are 10 dimensions, the 4 that we are familiar with, 3 spacial and one time, but hidden are another 6 dimensions.
Scientists have become so obsessed with this theory over the past 20 years since it was concieved that they have built a particle collider called the large hadron collider (LHC) to collide heavy ions travelling in opposite directions at the .9999% the speed of light. These high energy collisions should eventually give the answers the scientists are looking for, although there is a risk that the experiments will create millions of micro black holes which will eventually consume the earth.
The LHC was started in September 08 at a cost of 10 billion USD but due to a faulty electrical connection there was a major malfunction and the project was brought to a sudden halt. The experiments are now due to begin in early March 2009.
These experiments should answer the question of whether or not parallel dimensions exist, if they do exist there will be a finite number maybe 4 to 6 and not the infinite number that some people are wrecklessly talking about, saying crazy things like "every time you make a decision the opposite decision is carried out in a parallel dimension", that simply isn't the case. There is a possibility however that if these dimesions are proven to exist they could also be intelligent life there, living in the same space that we are occupying but in a different dimension where the rules of physics that apply here do not apply in the same ways, and almost certainly, the flow of time as we experience will be different, for example, if you were referencing time from our time to time in another dimension 1 second here might be 10 seconds there.
The best tool to use to find information on this interesting subject is google, that is where I have learned most of my information.
