I find the topic of other worlds interacting with ours quite intriguing.

I'm not asking for anyone to try to prove me wrong or anything, I was just wondering if anyone else finds this interesting.

Is it possible that worlds we are subconcious to are paying visits to us? I don't believe aliens are from these worlds, just that they may have acess to them.

I've read reports of people seeing creatures/beings believed not to be from our knowing of existance. I show particularly great interest in this topic.

Could it also be possible that religion, myth, and imagination exist in these other dimensions? Perhaps the way our universe is mapped out (stars, blackness) isn't the way EVERYTHING is. Maybe in another reality in our reach, outer space looks like a sky, or something.

Anyhow, other than I'M crazy
, what's your take on this?

well every time we are faced with a decision perhaps there are echos or dimensions created where we made different decisions.. if that makes sense, if the possibility of dimensions is real there would literally be trillions of them, some where man was never created/evolved, ones where dinosaurs possibly still rule, others where we had totally wiped ourselves out, maybe even others where alien contact has been made and accepted, thinking about this usually tends to give me a headache

I find this topic interesting too, unfortunately I don't have a lot to offer to the discussion, but I'd love to hear what others have to say. I wonder about deja vu, and the connection there.

Whoa, that would be crazy!

I hope we never get tied BETWEEN all kinds of dimensions!

I'd like to think parallel universes, or is it universi?, really do exist.
I think we actually visit those various dimensions when we dream. Maybe our other selves visit us when they dream.
Maybe we/they must be dreaming at the same time to make the connection possible.

iv thought about this topic allot in recent years especially in connection with cryptids. i believe the moth man, the black bird of Chernobyl, the monkey man of India all seem to come out of no where mingle with our reality for a limited time then just as quickly vanish.

now when looking back through historical records and folklore the world over you'll find accounts of the various fae beings from all over that have a otherworldly twist to their tales either existing in another world ( often the underworld strangely enough) and traveling to our world occasionally or even living in our world all together but being able to travel to another world if they wish.

there's also many reports of sasquatch leaving prints in the mud or snow that after a while just stop in the middle of no where with no tracks or marks showing it doubling back or jumping to another area which leads me to believe that sasquatch is a extra dimensional entity and that explains why there haven't been any bodies found because they don't live here for extended periods but just cross over to our reality to maybe sight see, gather some food or what have you and then retreat to their dimension.

another that i studied was spring heeled jack he was really active and sighted in many regions for a number of years then just vanished. the moth man, the black bird of Chernobyl, the man dragon of china are all vaguely humanoid creature that are seen flying around a area in our world for a short time before a major disaster happens seemingly foretelling the impending catastrophe.

these are just a small sampling of the various cryptids iv read about that seem to be connected to the possibility of multiple dimensions that iv researched.

I'm going to percieve myself as being bold here and say the following:
This is one of those things where one belief leads to the next; anyone who believes in some sort of afterlife- heaven, hell, that middle place some catholics believe in (whatsitcalled, again?...), anyone who believes in dreamwalking or the astral realm already believes in alternate dimensions.
Each one of these are held on different levels. Where people go in NDEs could be essentially viewed as another dimension. Even people who have auric sight could be percieved as existing on a different level- viewing our dimension and the next up, a dimension of energy, at the same time? That is a stretch, i know; but one cannot believe in any of these things, without technically believing in alternate/ different dimensions.

(Parafreaky! Why'd you take off the Zim pic! Put it back on! There is a GIR pic in here! IT IS COOL>>>)

Oh, they are very much trying to interact with us. If anyone does not believe that then go to work in a nursing home sometime. As people age or grow deathly ill, the veil to other dimensions grows thinner. The patients in these facilities can even tell you about it... or... in the very least you can add all the stories together and learn that they are the same.

Another good example is schizophrenia. I believe our future generations will view our handling of schizophrenia as barbaric and ignorant... the dark ages, if you will. Much how we view ancient medical practices.

Our psychiatrists need to study a bit of Quantum Physics and open their minds a little.

There are many dimensions right here with us. Even Life after death is one we will all reach sooner or later... so anyone who does not believe in other dimensions should be pondering the reality of them every day.

That makes lots of sense!

I was just wondering about other worlds beyond our knowing that ACTUALLY EXIST; but of course that's my opinion.

P.S.-I was looking for another avatar; I know I change it a lot. But it'll be another picture of Zim that I find suiting for my current thoughts/feelings

I was reading an article (I don't remember where now) about strange creatures that were reported all over the world and the sightings just stopped. A dinosaur like creature in Italy that left footprints, Mothman in West Virginia. The author suggested a parallel world and that the creatures somehow crossed over into our world briefly.
Science fiction writers love this idea and use it all the time. There are even some quantum theories about parallel Earths. The idea may not be so far fetched.

I wouldn't say the idea that cryptids would come from parallel universes is outside the realm of possibilities. Though i think of them more as oddities of this world. I actually think it's an easier concept, and more likely to be true, odd as that may seem.

On the subject someone mentioned, (was Zim?)~ of getting stuck between dimensions, just hypothetically, think of that concept. The dimensions would al be space. Trapped outside, what would the person be in?

Where do NDE-ers go? What do people call it, that dimension?
Only hypothetically, of course.

PS: Now if only we could get a DIB opinion here. Yes, it would be paranoid, (it's dib~) but the Dib poster's opinions might be interesting. There is always a reason for why people choose the pics they do.

I agree with Demandred. Additionally, I think we live in a "multi-verse" opposed to a "parallel". I can't explain the mechanics of it all. Maybe this is where blackholes lead and, like other members said, mysterious creatures come from? To another/the other universe.

Does anyone remember the tv show Sliders? It might be something like that. Places are the same, just different because of the change in timelines.

Yes exactly, a multiverse where every action (or maybe even willful thought to act) creates an alternate reality. In essence the fact that I just typed this response in this thread created an alternate reality in the multiverse(s). Adding this last sentence just created another one. ect ect. ect. Where does it end? Maybe a qualitative response or result must be forthcoming before the alternate reality is created? maybe another soul or being must be involved? Who can know. Scientists tell us now that the simple act of "observation" of sub-atomic particles cause them to change their behavior. Wow...Maybe some sentient being is observing me typing this right now and changing my reality by it's observation.
Down the rabbit hole we go Alice.....

yeah i do, mostly because i don't believe anyones ever unconscious.

when people go to sleep or get knocked out we go to a place/tuned in to a place that's as real as the place when we're "awake".

whether it's real or not were still conscious in that place, so if we're still conscious then we're never unconscious which means our minds are tuned in to or at another dimension.

i do believe in parallel universes, however is just my intuition alone as we do not really have any data to confirm nor infirm the existance of parallel universes.. so time will tell it if my intuition is true or not

what if i made a spelling mistake spelling what? what if i never even used that example? i believe parallels or *possibilities* were already opened once i started typing...or didnt type and didnt bother posting...there are infinites of possible...but only those that are possible here...so i think its possible infinite universe or dimensions are appearing just based on choices..imo anyway..

I sure do. I have read up on some stuff on other universes and dimensions and such. I do thing there are aliens from this universe, but I also believe there are access ways to other places that we can't comprehend. Parallel universe or different plane, that is the question!
