Precisely why they might use her, pretty much a total no-name in the Biz so who would ever connect the dots. Is the movie about first contact on earth by a mother ship? Blair Witch came to mind first as well. You know everyone who paid a bit of attention to this will go see the movie.

Kind of yes, the movie is about a ship coming to Earth and a giant robot called Gort and his friend. Gort curiously enough is a member of a federation whos role is keep the peace in the Universe.

I think this little stunt would do quite nicely to generate some ticket sales.

I have a program which accurately shows the position of the earth and just about everything else at whatever time you can think of. There's the earth, there's the moon (tho I don't agree with the moon's size in the simulation). Basically- here's the church, and here's the steeple- No UFO, and no alien people!

I think we still have about six hours to go before we can call this genuine crap.

The GFL spacecraft, if they still want to come better do it fast.

They're running out of places to land.

Its not the moon, whatever it is reflects light which you can see by switich the angle to show it on the upper left. In that view its not refecting white which suggests the white was a moon reflection of light on a metal surface.

Im starting to think its the science station or a large com sat.

Movement would be deceptive, if its in a lower orbit then it would likely move faster and the angle of veiwing would make it appear to be moving over a sustained perior of time. If it was some kind of vessel moving under its own propulsion you would expect the movement to be more significant. It seems to be orbital and the size makes me guess its the science sation, Mia?

Just wondering....it's been clear for the past hour now I see this black "speck"...LOL can't say it's a bug in space on the lens (hee hee) but maybe some dust or something? Not sure what the camera is housed in so dust can't be ruled out.

Dude i have no idea what it is,its the first time ive ever been to that site.

im just going to wait about 1/2 an hour take another screen shot and over lay both pics ..and if that white dot has moved, i want to know why and what it is

can you be slightly more precise where this black speck is
i for one think that the grey/white/metallic object to the far right which is temporarily stationary (was moving before) is far more interesting

It will move if its the Science Station, the orbit will be different, I believe lower and therefore quicker. So over a period of hours it would most likely have the appearance of movement relative to the camera taking the shot.

Im guessing but from the angle im looking and the difference to the reverse angle its definately an object which reflects light rather than produces it. Looks larger than id expect most sats to apear so I can only think f the Science Station being the next most reasonable guess.

This should give you the angle im looking at and you should clearly see the offending object in the upper left. X should be 8.2 and Y -1.3 right?

The thing I don't understand is that the Tate Sat is supposed to be in polar-to-pole orbit ... that moon should have fallen out of view long ago, no?

Maybe just maybe .... taken into account of its size relative to the planet and how far awy it is .. this object would have to be far larger than the Miir or a satilite ... if this object getts bigger or brighter than perhaps there is a tinest of lights shinning that we may actually be in for the most amazing day after all .. the long shot of long shots .. but hope springs eternal
