My last song for a while in this thread.
I hope I left something beautiful, worthwhile and new.

Bright Blue - Weeping.

Now a much covered SA tune, but in 1986 it spoke of a new State of Emergency.
The references to politics had to be disguised in the lyrics.

But it said something to the establishment.
It said we don't protest and await torture because we hate.
We are actually weeping.

The majority of the people are weeping.

How can they not see that?

Well, despite all that propaganda in the clip, we are still weeping.

Nice video, I like their groove...I'll have to remember their name.

These Shrouded Temples by Corrosion Of Conformity:

I love the groove and riffs to this instrumental song.

Being of big fan of 80's Metallica I have to post this one, one of my favourite Metallica songs:

Metallica - Blackened

I love how early Metallica started out a lot of their songs slowly almost in a classical medieval music sense.

John Frusciante's music encapsulates my soul. This song is very melodramatic at first, but the buildup to the vamp at the end is one of the most beautiful harmonies I've ever heard. The video is very avant garde and it was directed by Vincent Gallo. If you've never heard of him, he's a bit out there... Either way the song is beautiful, but some might find it too somber.

Never heard of that artist - thank you so much!
I hate loading stuff, but I will bother if recommended.
And it is worth it.
Today was a good day, because I learnt something new!

I'm still a bit perplexed that US people still don't care about Rodriguez on the previous page.

yeah, great video but do you suppose you could put a disclaimer when you decide to post another one like that? I mean you sort of did but it didn't sound very serious.

well, now it's a little more serious to me and perhaps many of lifes problems could really just use a shovel.

Why would they do that to one of their best artists?

I'm glad you like the song!
I honestly have never heard of Rodriguez until today! He has a great voice and writing ability. In regards to a great day of discovery, the feeling is mutual. Thank you.

If you are talking about my post of the "dying song", then I put up a disclaimer.

And to crown it all it's almost spring (in SA), and Oktoberfest!

Cheers to ATS and this thread.

Prost!

sorry, didn't mean to press for that or anything but that one really hit me hard. I guess it's been building up or maybe it was my current train of thought but that one kind of sliced me open. The whole thing is a pretty intense piece of art to seem so simplistic. Just wanted to mention it.

No problem, nothing a little James Brown can't fix. The intro will raise your spirits or make you chuckle!
