the lyrics in this song are fantastic...

I am a huge Ian Anderson fan..especially his flute playing.

It's an oldie but a goldie... but I'm playing it again...because I'm feeling the lyrics

Excellent choice. I love the Cure, who I feel are vastly underrated, and "Close to Me" is one of my all-time favorite songs. That is a pretty sweet extended version, one that I have never heard before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Watching baseball so in the mood for this, which I just finished listening to for the first time. A must listen for any Red Sox, Mets, general baseball, or music fan. If you have never heard of Bill Buckner, check this out...This is called "Buckner's Bolero" and is an ode to the guy who cost the Red Sox the 1986 World Series and is only remembered for an error instead of an otherwise solid career.

thanks :-)
but here's an interesting question (at least to me) can we have nice taste, or do we just have taste?

love him - he makes despair palatable - and he's honest

I may get an "off-topic" on this, but if you have not seen this movie, it is great. Robert Altman directs and Tom is AMAZING!!!

You are less off-topic than you would think. Some great musical minds delighted in the music of the human voice in simple conversation: Glenn Gould, Frank Zappa, etc...but anyway...

I'd never seen that before. Tom is actually a pretty good actor though. That scene in "Coffee & Cigarettes" with him and Iggy Pop is awesome. To wit:

(couldn't find the whole clip)
