So what is the best diet ever?
Well, I'm about 255, I need to lose about 100 pounds.
I have asthma, back and joint pain (my chirpracter told me I have the back of an old man), I'm overwieght and close to being obese if not already,
I'm slugish, feel sleepy all the time and I have poor blood circulation (different appendages keep falling asleep, arm leg, hand).
So, what is the best diet ever?
Vegan Raw.
Now I know that a lot of you may know what a Vegan is, but some of you may not. A vegan is someone who only eats fruits, vegitables and grains, no
animal bi-products like eggs, milk, cheese ect..
A Vegan Raw/Raw Vegan is someone who takes it a step further though, not only are they Vegan, but they only eat fruits, vegitables and grains raw. The
reason why is this philosophy, if you put an apple in the ground, you'll get an apple, if you put pasta, bread or any cooked food in the ground, you
get mold, if you put meat of any kind in the ground, you'll get racid decaying flesh. What's the difference? An apple (fresh uncooked fruits,
vegitables and grains) contain LIFE. So if you soe life into you body, you'll reap life, but if you soe death into your body, you'll reap death.
That's the philosophy, but scientifically it makes sense too.
Humans have a very long and coiled intestine, carnivores have a very short intestine. When a carnivore eats meat, it travels quickly though there
bodies, however when a human eats meat, it sits there and rots and putrifies in our intestine. We were not made to eat meat.
Vegan Raw though, focuses on putting natural enzimes into your body and well as many protiens and nutriences that your body needs.
People may ask, "How do you get protien from only eating plants? Is'nt that what meats for?", well first of all, that is an out right lie, we've
been lied to folks, you get plenty (more than enough) from plants, it comes from beans, brocoli and many, many other plants that we eat, nearly all of
the plants we eat contain protien. We also get plenty of nutrients from our food.
Here is a record that one person made concerning there vegan raw diet:

This is the forum I recently signed up to for help and support on my new lifestyle diet Raw Food Talk.
The people on there (mostly women ) are very supportive, kindhearted people. They have made leaps and bounds in there own health and well being.
Some of them have even been able to put pets such as cats and dogs on a raw vegan diet too! They have a before and after section in there forum, you
can browse through and see the amazing changes these people have made to there own health.
It's also pretty much a cure for cancer, it actually reverses cancer.
The it works is, meat turns your bodies PH level to acid when you eat it, however plants (most anyways) turn your bodies PH level to alkaline.
Cancer feeds off of the acid in your body, turning you body to alkaline will starve off the cancer, not only will it do that, but it will starve off
other dieseases and illnesses as well.
Here's what some of the food looks like:
(Yes, that's icecream, it's made from frozen bannas!)
Here is a video (rather funny I think) about a video on being Vegan Raw
Another by the same guy, different people though (I think the bagpipe music is sort of annoying)
There are many, many videos of people who've switched from living on the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.), to living on a Raw Vegan Diet and living
healthier, longer and fuller lives.
I'll be posting progress videos every week to see how I'm doing.
The video I'm trying to upload right now (to youtube) is about 800mb, I'm going to try and shink the file size down and reupload it, hopefully I
won't lose much quality.
i am vegan, and have been vegetarian for over five years now. i have done the raw food cleanse periodically. i would like to go full raw vegan in the
near future. the raw philosophy is very logical although your hardcore meateaters will argue about it.
not sure if you are a vegan at the moment but if you have any questions let me know.
Not sure about that first video, I haven't researched this yet, but that video looked really funny, because it looked like a bunch of people who
would say anything to try and sell us stuff lol.
I'm not saying that's what it is, it just looked like that.
Some of what he is saying is right though. Proteins are harder to break down than fats and carbohydrates. Thats true. But where he gets off
thinking that its a bad thing is beyond me. It's called the Thermic Effect of Feeding(TEF). Eating more protein increases your Resting Metabolic
Rate. This is a good thing. If you are overweight, you will burn more calories throughout the day just by eating more protein. This is fact.
By the way, that guy is an idiot. All enzymes are proteins, but not all proteins are enzymes. And amino acids are the building blocks FOR protein.
You want to lose weight obviously......so what does your diet consist of now and how often to you eat. That is, When and What do you eat? And do you
get any exercise at all?
Well today I ate a piece of fruit (I wasn't really hungry), later at around 1pm I was hungry and tried fixing some raw vegan tacos, but I used wary
too much parsely by accident and it ruined them, so instead I had a monkey shake (orange, banana, mango). Honestly, if you eat a little and wait about
30 minutes, the hunger pains go away and you feel just fine. I used to eat till I was full, or even past being full and that would really make me feel
sluggish (eating was something I did to make myself feel better, kinda like how some women eat icecream cause there sad or something).
Yesterday I ate some fruit and a few vegitables.
Today I've eatin a piece of fruit and a fruit smoothie, I might eat some more tonight, but if I'm not hungry at 8pm I won't eat anything at all.
Eating at night makes your body work extra hard to break down and digest the food in your stomach so ya feel grogging and hung over in the morning,
used to happen to me all the time.
So I will only be eating to live and not living to eat which is the way it should be I believe.
By the way, that guy is an idiot. All enzymes are proteins, but not all proteins are enzymes. And amino acids are the building blocks FOR protein.
I think you may have mistaken what he was saying (that is if you're talking about the "RunningRaw" guy). He was saying that enzymes are just
complexe amino acids and that the protien is just the thing that these acids are attached to.
Here's a vid of the Running Raw guy talking about green smoothies and so good info there too I think.
Lol, yeah I agree, the one thing that really cracked me up is at the end that woman sprouted some wings and flew off . It changes
your DNA so you can become an eagle person!
I can sorta believe what they're sating about the stuff just because of the awesome progress made by the people on the forum I signed up on.
Good luck, not sure about this diet, but it sounds like you know a lot about it.
Remember diet AND exercise, doesn't have to be much, maybe a bit of jogging, or at least something to keep your body and heart healthy and fat
burning, I'm pretty sure we will see you lose most of your weight if you stay focused and never give up.
Edit: oh yeah, plenty of great vegetarian meals, you can make soups, or have lentils, Couscous, etc etc.
Lentils and beans are great.
Are those allowed in the diet?
But honestly, one more big benifit from this diet is'nt just the food, it's the fact that you're paying more attention to what you're eating, you
also have to prepare it yourself, so you know how old it is and stuff, not like some of those other diets where they deliver your food and you don't
really know anything about it. I think monitoring what we;re putting in our bodies is something we all need to do no matter wherether we eat meat or
not or what diet we're on, if it's going in us, then we need to know what it is and where it's coming form.
Sadly a lot of the grocery stores have food shipped in from foriegn countries 1,500 miles away, locally grown food is best for us, that's why I'm
goign to start going to the farmers market and grow my own garden
Well jimmy, congrats of making the first step towards the new you. You're already doing better than most people do in the first stages of their own
weight loss. But I have to be honest, it's not going to be easy and you're going to want to quit. Don't! Always keep in the back of your head
what your goal is and how healthy and better looking you will be when you reach that goal! Exciting isn't it?
Luckily, you have the support already in place, free of charge.
Let me tell you now though, the reason most people fail when they undertake such a daunting task, whether alone or with help, is not because they
don't know what they are doing, it's mainly because they are not organized. If you take the time each Sunday to prepare and write down each meal
for the week and have the food either already cooked or ready to be prepared at moments notice, you will when this battle with ease.
When that sinks in and you're still ready, you're going to have to get over this idea that eating less means weighing less.
You need to eat at least 5 times a day. Eating something every 2-3 hours will boost your metabolism.
OK, thats enough for now but I still need to know about how many calories you are intaking and when you are getting them. Let me know and I'll get
back with you.
Best of luck to you on your diet, or should I say lifestyle change. Just a small peice of advice, you may find it easier to stick with it if you
don't dive in headfirst from the get-go, but instead ease into it. A really simple exercise regimen will go a long way as well. When I went through
the police academy, I lost a little over 30 pounds in 3 months just from sit-ups, push ups, running, and some weight training thrown in after about 6
weeks.
Well guys, here's a little update, so far I think I've lost 5 ounds, I feel great, still not eating a ton like I used to on the SAD diet (Standard
American Diet), I'm trying to eat 2/3 of my stomach's copacity, works pretty well and I've notived I really like almond milk, does give me gas or
make me feel bloated like I'm going to explode and tastes great, even the unsweeted kind tastse great. Also, my vision has actually become just a
tiny bit sharper, I can actually see whats happening on tv without my contacts in.
Honestly, I have absolutely no idea what my caloric intake is. I'm guessing it's not a whole lot since it's natural unprossesed food.
My bloodsugar level last time I checked was a sorta high, but right before I did the blood test I had a mountain dew, so, I don't know. I think the
main thing that I appreciate from this diet is the fact that I'm not hungry as much and none of the food hurts my stomach.
I have a lot of respect for you, man. I hope it works out well for you. I'd love to see a "before and after" video or something sometime in the
future.
Jimmy........Calculate it then. You need to know what your fuel consumption is compared to your fuel expenditure. It is important, especially on a
diet like the one you are on.
Your blood sugar levels rise when you eat carbs. You don't want high blood sugar levels, otherwise you'll just end up storing that sugar as fat.
You need to get your body out of the habit of burning sugar for energy and into the habit of burning fat for energy. Unless you're working out of
course, only then do you want your body burning sugar.
Well, I don't think I get many carbs, I don't eat bread, pasta or stuff like that, I'm not going to eat any potatoes either, they don't taste too
good raw and the ones you buy in a store have a bad chemical in them (forgot what it's called). So I guess I don't get many carbs, I'm not too keen
on what raw foods have carbs.
There are three Macronutrients. Carbohydrates, Protein and Fat.
Each one consists of many of it's own subcategories. For instance, Carbs are divided into Simple Carbs and Complex Carbs depending on how quickly
they are digested. Simple carbs spike your blood sugar while complex carbs just raise them slowly.
I think they should be divided as either fibrous or non-fibrous carbs because both simple and complex carbs raise your blood sugar, unless they are
fibrous.
Proteins are made of Amino acids. Some digest faster than others. Whey, soy, casein, ect. It just depends on the source. Proteins can be taken as
a whole protein or as amino acids.
Fats are more complicated. Divided into two main categories of; Saturated and Unsaturated. Saturated fats are those found in tropical oils, butter,
milk and animal fat. Unsaturated fats are also subcategorized into; poly-unsaturated fat and mono-unsaturated fat. Mono-unsaturates include Nuts,
seeds, avocados and olive oil. These are good. Poly-unsaturates include fish, vegetable oil, whole grain wheat and peanut butter. Our diet consists
of too much of these.
There is also omega fatty acids. The most important are omega 3's and omega 6's. Omega 3's are Essential Fatty Acids(EPA) because our body does
not produce them. As of right now, most people are omega 3 deficient and ingest too much omega 6. Omega 3's include fish oil, flax seed oil and
eggs made from free range, non-grain fed chickens. Omega 6's include most vegetable oils, whole grains and cereals. Omega 6's are proinflammatory
and proconstrictive while omega 3's are anti-inflammatory and promote weight loss.
