McCain is not Bush and the people behind bush can not afford the same political stance for another couple of years so the rhetoric will change too.
I am an European I am not voting for US presidency but my vote will go to McCain because with the mounting tensions in the Middle east we need some one who can stand firm and can not be seen as one of the people of the middle east .. As Obama looks like some one who could life in Iran without being suspected being an American I now the terrorist will claim and say to Obama that he is one of them and even if he strikes on Iran the will do more to hurt the US for the same reason.. because they see him as one of them. Obama has no I repeat no military background and we there for need some one with military mind in a war like situation. better a person in command with expertise then someone who first has to learn how to be a commander in chief.

We create our own reality by our perceptions and connotations of the outside world. Bad things happen to good people, but a positive mind frame works through problems much more swiftly than a negative mind frame.

this country is in a full blown depression and both canidates mccain and obama support striking iran and taking away even more of americans civil liberties.

Please cite some evidence of this. Preferably for Barack backing striking Iran, and cutting Civil Liberties. Oh, and they should be reliable sources not some guys blog/website. There you go thinking Negative again. No wonder you think life is such a downer.

Hell I'm broke right now... But I'm happy to have My Family, a roof over my head, TV, Internet, a Computer and my own vehicle. You should learn to be happy with who you are... Striving for material things Is what the MSM want you to do. BUY More, Think Less!

and about the personal independance stuff, if everyone in the world took care of their own crap the world would be a utopia. instead we got a bunch of socialist moochers, mooching off everyone. and barak is a fraud. his fisa vote sealed that question. i dont care how many times he says "hope" or "change" he does the same crap as anyother corrupt DC politician.

Those Moochers your talking about may very well need the assistance their getting. That's why we pay taxes, so that when we can no longer take care of ourselves there is assistance there to take care of us.
If republicans had their way, anybody who turned 65 and didn't have a few million in life savings could just die off when their bank account dwindles to nothing.

I guess if times get hard enough eventually you can be called a socialist moocher too. Something to always keep in mind.

His FISA vote sealed no deal, he signed off on a re worded bill, that didn't allow spying on U.S. citizens.

i understand people wanting to believe the best, but drinking obama kool aid and stickin your head in the sand just assures that someone is gonna come along and kick you in the butt.

Drinking rhetoric kool-aid is bad for you too. Some of us are basing our vote for Obama off of actually research and study into the mans background. From what I've read, he's 100 times a better candidate that McCain. As I've said before... Better to vote for the lesser of two evils, than to not vote at all. If you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain.

I'm voting for Barack Obama, because he is the best person on the ballot for the job. I would hope that would be why ANY Barack supporter would be voting for him.

Posts: 38 TAKE A FEW MOMENTS AND READ THIS LETTER. THESE ARE STRONG, POWERFUL AND COURAGEOUS WORDS COMING FROM A RETIRED COLONEL, AND READ WHAT LINCOLN HAD TO SAY AT THE END. WOW!

33 Senators Voted Against English as America's Official Language on June 6, 2007.

On Wed. 6 June 2007, Colonel Harry Riley, USA, Ret. wrote:

Senators:
Your vote against an amendment to the immigration Bill 1348.... to make English America's official language is astounding.

On D-Day, no less, when we honor those that sacrificed in order to secure the bedrock, character and principles of America, I can only surmise your vote reflects a loyalty to illegal aliens.

I don't much care where you come from. What your religion is. Whether you're black, white, or some other color...male or female......Democrat, Republican or Independent....... But I do care when you are a United States Senator representing Citizens of America ...and Vote against English as the official language of the United States

Your vote reflects Betrayal. Political Surrender. Violates Your Pledge of Allegiance. Dishonors historical principle. Rejects Patriotism. Borders on traitorous action and, in my opinion, makes you unfit to serve as a United States Senator...impeachment... Recall........Or other appropriate action is warranted, or worse.

Four of you voting against English as America's Official Language are Presidential Candidates: Senator Biden, Senator Clinton, Senator Dodd and Senator Obama! .

Four Senators vying to lead America, but won't, or don't, have the courag e to cast a vote in favor of English as America's Official Language when 91% of American Citizens want English officially designated as our language.

This is the second time in the last several months this list of Senators have disgraced themselves as 'political Hacks'..... Unworthy as Senators and certainly unqualified to serve as President of the United States .

If America is as angry as I am, you will realize a backlash so stunning it will l iter ally 'rock you out of your socks'......... And preferably totally out of the United States Senate.

The entire immigration bill is a farce... Your action only confirms this really isn't about America... it is about self-serving politics......despicable at best. It has been said: 'Never Argue with an Idiot....They'll drag you down to their level!'

PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN SAID: 'Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damages morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, quickly tried and hanged!!!'

PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING AROUND THE UNITED STATES UNTIL THE ELECTION IN NOVEMBER!

Brothers,
I also read that in an e-mail.I looked further into it and found it to be true.I think that is horrible that ANY representative, especially someone running for president of the U.S. would vote against english being our official language.

Because I'm on this like a cheep suit... and I think you are selling a cheap suit!

Nothing in this Act shall diminish or expand any existing rights under the laws of the United States relative to services or materials provided by the Government of the United States in any language other than English

SO OBAMA DID VOTE YES!

Unless its a different amendment within the 2007 immigration reform act???

Nobody should be happy with McCain or Obama.

Our economy is going down the tubes and neither one them is going to do what it will take to fix it. We are massively in debt over 10 trillion. Do you realize what the interest cost is on 10 trillion - 100's of billions of dollars - and it is compounding. The government only brings in around 3 trillion a year in taxes and is set to spend nearly 3.5 trillion next year.

We need a surplus of several hundred billion dollars just to pay the interest on this debt - and McCain talks of balancing the budget in 4 years and obama says nothing but is promising a ton of new spending. We need to stop the growth of this debt immediately and the only way to do that is a drastic reduction in spending - at least one third enough to pay the intrest to keep it from growing.

If we do not do that, and I am sure that we won't, the dollar will continue to devalue greatly and american citizens will have to pay for it whether by much higher taxes or inflation (the hidden tax) - either way our standard of living is going to plummet.

This does not even include the fact that there is no money for social security or medicare saved and the baby boomers are just now starting to collect.
The money simply will not be there to pay these obligations - especially with medical costs that have risen over 100% in the last 8 years.

Our country is broke - the politicians know it - but they don't want to say anything about it, they just care about getting elected and talking about this impending disaster is not going to work for Joe 6 pack cause he doesn't want anymore bad news. This is why Ron Paul was shuned he was telling the truth about our economy and the powers that be don't want the common man to know just how bad it is about to get.

Obama is arrogant and over-confident. This is more than clear.
Obama signals the end of America and individualism if elected. This is more than clear.

Solution - vote for McCain, even if means keeping the second Marxist running for office (the first was McCarthy) out of the Oval Office.

McCarthy never had tie to radical anti-American Muslim Millionaires or domestic bombers for friends.

Obama does.Obama is the worst canidate in US history for doing potential damage to the liberties and freedoms of the United States of America.

This is the type of comment that scares me about some Americans. The spreading of false rumors about a candidate base purely on hatred should not be tolerated.
I have little doubt that jetxnet voted for Hilary or preferred her over Obama. What upsets me is that since Hilary lost to Obama he's going over the edge by claiming all these radical ideas about Obama. When he's confronted with facts he simply moves on to another set of lies.

Let me say again. America has a Senate and a Congress. They were put in place to protect AMERICANS from Politicians that are bent on pursuing their own Agenda. It did little to stop the current party. But make no Mistake. They are there to protect us. If the Senate or Congress allows the president to get away with what they did. Blame them for allowing this.HOW THE HELL WILL OBAMA get away with all the crap you think he has planned for America. If he's dead set on turning America into a Muslim nation and he manages to gets away with it.Blame Congress or Senate.

Now let me get to the meat of what I wanted to say. There are no doubt people out there that share the same beliefs as jetxnet. No matter what you tell them they will believe in the same crap jetxnet mentioned.

I am also convinced that jetxnet and a percentage of other Americans might not even realize that what they are doing is considered racist. They hold this hatred for Obama and can't really figure out the reason. It’s hard for them to come to the conclusion that it’s his race that bothers them. So instead of admitting that it’s his race they cling to nonsense such as those jetxnet mentioned. Its hard to realize that you may be voting against someone simply based on his race. A lot of them will say, I have Black friends and I eat and drink with them. That doesn't mean you do not have a ounce of prejudice in you.

I hear the argument that Black people are voting for him because he's Black and that bothers me as well. I sometime wonder; what if Obama said slavery was the best thing that Happen to Black People. Would they still vote for him?

My answer is NO. The facts show that Hilary had the black voters before Obama came along & it was Bill who turned them away.

During the election cycle I watched CNN and others push statistics upon statistics in our face and one of the stats that worried me was, when asked if Race played a factor in the way they voted a percentage said yes. Now can you imagine those that would admit that race played a factor?Imagine those who won't.This plays a huge role and will play a huge role in this election cycle.

With that said. jetxnet you are a racist.

My uncle played the piano well so they called him a pianist. My cousin likes to travel & when he goes to other countries they call him a tourist.I love to cycle & have been called a cyclist
so why cant you love your race and be called a racist

Mccain will win the election based on race.I hoped America was pass that but I dont think its ready yet.

When it comes to race and acceptance of it.I have to steal a line from Mccain & say and that my friend is change we can't believe in

What an excellent post!
I hope you're wrong about McCain winning, but I am afraid you're right. There's NO OTHER REASON for Hillary fans to vote for McCain. It's blatantly showing where they come from. I hope America is past it, but I fear you're right.

But if Obama doesn't win, it's still a huge step forward and an indication that things are moving in the right direction, that he made it this far.

I have to agree with some here that Obama's views and opinions are consistant with socialism. There are so many issues that prove this, such as:

A) Nationalized Healthcare
B) Higher Taxes
C) Increased size of government
D) Increased government regulations
E) Income Redistribution
F) Increase in government welfare policies
G) Against being energy independent

There are more but that is a few off the top of my head.

You add this list to other issues regarding his character and judgement and you have a candidate who is bad for America.

And before some of you knee-jerk liberals start shouting racist, this has nothing to do with him being black. I would feel the same way regardless of his skin color.

I might vote for him just because I want to see how fast he can duck while giving his inauguration speech. Also, me and a few friends have a bet going on will it be a while, black, gay, muslim group that actually takes him out.

I'm not laughing about this... I know that America isn't ready for a muslim leader. We are way too immature. Heck, we can't even get along on a stupid forum let alone in the real world. And who is Obama... NOBODY! He has no track record in the Senate (jr Senator). Big deal. He can talk a good show... so can millions of others (usually called con men, preachers, lawyers) I just call them liars. I would never actually give this hoodlem my vote. This man is a puppet from the start raised up by the puppet masters ... that means just more of what we are getting now. Sorry, I will write in Ron Paul if I have to. Least I didn't vote against what I believe in.

I usually don't partake in the political debates (it's useless - you are NEVER going to change anyone's thinking to your side, right?)

However, I feel the need to interject in this discussion. I have heard all the reasons not to vote for Obama. I have actively listened to the "he has no experience" arguments, and "he flip-flops on his positions arguments" (which - HELLO- that's what politicians do.)

With all the negatives about Obama which may or may not be true, I am still voting for him for one reason - HE IS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. No one can argue with that. Whatever has been done for the last 8 years - HASN'T WORKED.

So, whatever Obama has in mind - IT CAN'T BE ANY WORSE THAN WHAT WE HAVE RIGHT NOW.

With all that said, I believe Obama will make an excellent president. And, if he doesn't guess what - WE'RE NO WORSE OFF THAN WE ARE NOW.

Can you imagine a Presidential candidate singing, "Bomb Bomb Bomb, Bomb Bomb Iran"

Umm....Those are not attacks, those are his views.

How are they baseless attacks?

Which one of those in the list is not his view?

BTW, it has everything to do with the thread. I think you just don't like hearing the truth about your messiah.

Can you name me something new about what Obama plans to do for the country? What's new about any of his ideas?
