Well, the CIA is a private intelligence operation. They are owned by the Federal Reserve, which is privately owned. So to say its the CIA on steroids and its a private CIA is just silly.

I do agree it has very serious implications, ones that we need to be wary of.

However, no organization will ever beat the CIA in its scandalousness.

On top of that, they also are operating as a private DEA. (blackwater that is)

like I said, its all bad, but you cant put them above the CIA, the CIA does whatever it wants. Clandestine operations are secret for a reason. Theyre illegal.

these are people who have the mindset of a warrior mentality and actually are quite restrained in the way they go about their jobs in iraq. the people that i know, which is about 6 (not a lot i know), follow a code known as bushido, the way of the samurai.
they are not cowards in the slightest.

it's not like they are driving around baghdad shooting everything in their path with a look of psychotic rage on their face screaming "america rules, Iraqis drool!!!". If they did get into any incident where they had to discharge their weapon they must write a VERY detailed incident report about what happened as well as get it approved by their superiors or else guess what, they get fiored and sent home. trust me, they like their 30,000 dollar a month salary as well as the lifestyle it gives them.
the people that i know are going over their because they feel no one else has the balls, or honor to do so. they feel they are doing something good over there just like you feel you are doing something good by sitting on your ass on a computer bashing a company who is doing more in this world than posting on an internet forum.
did it ever occur to you that their enemies over in iraq dress as civilians and fire weapons at blackwater convoy's dressed as such. if you have a client that you are protecting, and is in iraq for the sole reason of building infastructure to HELP the general population, and all of a sudden someone dressed on the street flips out an ak- 47 and starts shooting at your principle as well as your co-workers, what would you do? Say, " oh my, i'm just going to let them fill me, my friends, and my convoy full of holes because they don't have on a uniform and if i fire my weapon at these people IN A FACKING WAR ZONE i might be hated upon by the liberal media and some dude that sits at a computer all day talking crap on proactive people.

if they are creating their own cia it is not because they are all sitting a in a room talking about how they are going to kill the most people but probably they feel the could be effective on subduing people who want to KILL YOU and OUR SOLDIERS in iraq and who believe in a religion that preaches that. its not like they are going to use this against americans. exspecially people like you and me who have a job and pay our taxes and are not planning any government takeovers. Just what evil do you think they are plotting? maybe, just maybe they are trying to do some good.

my brother and his co-workers work directly for the international republican institute protecting diplomats who go to iraq to help build them infastructure as well as show them how to have a democracy.

now, i know that i can not generalize, like you are, and say every one in blackwater is an honorable person because thrust me i know, there are idiots everywhere.

but you have to give it the benefit of the doubt and not generalize that the entirety of this company is evil. that is ignorance my friend.

try looking at it in from a unbiased perspective. we all can't be bleeding heart liberals, some of us have to be carved out of stone.

i have to go do something PROACTIVE but i'll be back late tonight to argue with you guys till the cows come home.

If the US was going to use a company to do some dirty work wouldn't they be better off just not telling anybody about it? Once they let it out it's pretty much out there in the open and people can find out about it.

I think you need to rethink that; just because we can piece together what they might try to use Blackwater for as a private intelligence agency doesn't mean its going to deter them from doing it.

This is the government were talking about here; not a couple of bank robbers who just saw 2 security guards by the vault.

but, you have to understand that i look at your name, spartankingleonidas, and wonder why you would choose such a name and talk crap on warriors. king leonidas, in the movie 300, and in historical accounts was a diabolical murdering killer. he did it for what he believed was a just cause but he did what he thought was right, protecting his people. which is what these people that i know in blackwater are doing. their favorite movie is 300, so maybe you guys have something more in common than you think. why do you boast that name and then talk bad about warriors that are doing something just like king leonidas did, fight for honor and the protection of their comrades.

if you research about the ancient spartans you will find them to be not only man lovers but also a very vicious race of people who raised their kids to be liars and murdering warriors, all in the name of sparta, of course.

The new increasing intelligence gathering that is possible with the Bush fascist government is going to need mercs to handle over the increased amount of operations against American citizens when the new homegrown terrorist bill is passed.

For those of you that still believe this nothing than benevolent behavior from the part of a zealous government to take care of its citizens better wake up and smell the stench.

Already many of our intelligence gathering is done by private companies and they have not problem stepping all over civil rights and constitutional rights for the right amount of money.

The homegrown terrorist bill will be the last step for our fascist government to take control over the people in this nation, eliminate dissenters and keep the population compliant.

Not sre how you would go about proving it, merely pointing out that someone had asked for proof and had not received any yet.

As far as the whole "With us or against us" yes there is a gray area. There is an in between team. One man's terorist is another man's freedom fighter. I could go on and on about how the founding fathers wold technicay be terrorists, but that has been done to death. a "War on terror" is a war that you can't win. You can't defeat an enemy that is an idea, and not a person. Face it, there are always going to be countries that hate us, and want to destroy us. When we stop playing war police then at least that number wi go down a bit.

I know exactly who and what Leonidas was, he was a warrior of the 1st class. Yes, a stone cold killer as well, ruthless, efficient, he used psychological tactics just as well as he used physical ones.

There's not one thing you can say, that I do not already known about the Spartan's, trust that I have studied them, and their history with a fine toothed comb, as well as the Art of War.

The issue with Blackwater that concerns American's as well as some of our International ATS'ers here, is that if Bush is willingly to lie, has no shame in his lies, and will not undo the laws he has changed after having been caught in lies, what is to stop him, from lieing, yet again, to Blackwater in the necessity of it's need to round up American's as well as the topic at hand here with Coffer Black running the Intelligence Division of Blackwater, he was one of the most nastiest and vile scumbags the Central Intelligence Agency has had to date, I know he would take that as a compliment too, but it's not one. He is one of those individiuals who will abuse the power once it is given to them, just like Bush and Cheney.

I know, just like Leonidas knew, war is only to be fought for valid reasons, not at the whims of outright lying politicians who would do war for profiterring, just to make money on all sides of the battlefield.

When war however is necessary, you wage it and win no matter the cost.

The Iraq War as well as other things going on, were outright bold lies of a manipulative politician, Cheney, and his puppet Bush, and the Council on Foreign Relations at the behest of the Bilderberg Group.

It's funny how you mentioned Capture The Flag, I know that well.

False Flag Operations are being discussed all over ATS.

When events like Hurricane Katrina happen, and fall under the National Emergency umbrella, now under Homeland Security, then under F.E.M.A. in that order, the laws shift and change, meaning Martial Law is generally and usually enacted, and people feel like they get abused by Military and Law Enforcement even more so during these events.

I've talked to countless Katrina victims who fled Louisiana and Mississippi after Katrina and came here to Florida, and they were mad as Hell that not only were they forced to evacuate, but their homes were seized usually, not always, and bulldozed down, and they were not compensated in the least for homes that had been in their family for over a hundred years through decades of family.

Do you honestly think someone like Coffer Black with this much power, won't go crazy as Hell with power, and abuse it worse then Hitler's henchmen? This is like handing explosives, guns, and bullets, to teenagers who knows nothing about responsible use of a weapon, Blackwater, with Coffer Black in charge of intelligence gathering, will use that to the Nth degree to do who knows what with that information.

In the good old days I was proud to be serve as a member of our intelligence community. There were mandates, one's that we held to dearly, all relating to the protection of American citizens from the use of intelligence tools and methods intended to safeguard our country, and not to 'fish' for potential criminals or targets 'of interest' to idelogues. Oversight was the key issue and the name of the game.

Things are different now. When a corporation is paid to provide information, what 'rule' will keep them from getting it any way they can? Who's going to question the process, once the product paid for is delivered?

Also, much like the war on drugs, the war on terror is never-ending because there is no way to stop it. So that means these government-contracted private mercenary intelligence people are now set to receive income from the people of this country for generations to come aren't they? It's the perfect scam.

As for the 'truth' about Blackwater and it's ilk, why on earth would they publicly acknowledge or admit to their own wrong doings? Who's going to compel them to 'fess up'? The government that hired them? I doubt it.

There is no rocket science here. They provide militia for profit to whomever can pay. In this case, their clients are the sleaziest of all. Too bad really, their clients were supposed to be our employees - accountable to us. Turns out our representatives, their clients, have a stake in the game. So it behooves them to empower the mercenaries as much as possible before they lose the opportunity and power to do so.

The United States Government IS a corporation. Under that jurisdiction, they have full legal ability to do what they want, especially in the manner of making contracts with other corporations. Of course, the "States United", etc., is not able to make contracts with private businesses, but our corrupt shadowy overlords have shed that nomenclature for one more suitable towards the goals of the International Monetary Fund (UN).

It's sick, yeah, and should be stopped, but out of the citizen's ongoing carte blanche for the federal government, they'll get away with this and any other BS they want to try, until the people (vast majority of them) demand the dismantling of the governmental-corporate-military complex for the good of all mankind.

I had never heard of Blackwater before. The more I read here, the more I am reminded of Ravenwood on Jericho. My husband and I were big fans of that show, and I remember wondering where they got the idea for Ravenwood. I think I am a little in shock to learn that there is a REAL agency like Ravenwood!

Blackwater will be herding dissenters into the FEMA camps, and hunting down resistance members. Confiscating guns from registered gun owners and making inquiry's into how certain guns found their way into militia hands. I can see it all now... all it will take is one false flag terror attack by some so called "Home Grown Terrorists." When that happens you can kiss your azz goodbye.
