Barack Obama has been a citizen of multiple nations. And even if his citizenship outside the US was renounced, Article II of the U.S. Constitution prohibits him from being President, for the same reason that naturalized citizens are prohibited: divided loyalties.

Ok this all seems like bs. 1st off, if they clearly state that obamas mom was born in the U.S. Then it doesn't matter how old she was when she had barak, because she was born here, thus she doesn't have to meet an age requirement to give birth to a U.S. Citizen, so the only issue here is whether he was born in U.S. Or not, and do you think we would have gotten this far in an election if he wasn't born here? You know we could ask hawaii to produce the birth certificate, and I'm sure the republicants already have had investigators looking for it. Basic facts:

1. The BC posted on DailyKos has been photoshopped and therefore is not proof of anything. We know the certificate number was altered. We do not know what else was altered.

2. Unless someone was physically present at Barack's birth, they really don't know where he was born. It's all speculation and hearsay.

3. There is a claim of a BC for Obama in Kenya. Is it true? Unless we've personally seen it, we do not know.

4. Doesn't matter if Obama's parents were married. Doesn't matter if Obama's father committed bigamy. Doesn't matter what the race/nationality of Obama's father was. Doesn't matter if Obama's mother was born in the USA. What does matter is if Obama and his mother satisfy the residency requirements for POTUS.

4. Hillary won't bring this up because in order for her to win, she needs Obama's supporters, and doesn't want to alienate them.

5. Republicans won't bring it up - yet. They'll wait until after the Democrat convention and be sure Obama is the one they have to beat before they let any of their tricks out of the bag.

6. We cannot prove a negative. We can prove a positive. Obama can easily produce his authentic birth certificate for proper examination.

The American people do have a right to know that Obama is qualified to be President. This can and should be easily cleared up. Any and all efforts to deny this basic requirement be met is obfuscation... and possibly criminal.

Obama - put up or shut up.

as a private citizen, just like you all are, he doesn't have to prove anything to you. The only people he will have to prove it to are the judges once this all goes through, if people are doing their jobs.

You know, this sums up the entire thread so I don't even need to read any further from this point on. If it's already been said then I'll say it again to remind everyone.

Obama has to prove it to every single person who votes. You cannot take a stance of "screw you I don't need to prove anything to you" when it comes to running for President of the United States. You save that kind of crap attitude for your local bar fight on friday nights. If Obama wants MY VOTE then he has to prove to ME he meets the requirements. End of story. His citizenship is up in the air. I want that BC, period, and anyone who shrugs this off and blindly follows him regardless is part of America's problems. Obama has until the very second I cast my vote to provide me with his BC. If he fails to do this one task alone he is not fit for President, nevermind failing to prove his american birth. If he can't succeed at this one simple task of providing a bloody piece of paper, he ain't fit to make life changing decisions as President.

This isn't about lame repub vs demo bickering. Take that junk somewhere else. Bottom line, Obama is running for President. His eligibility is in question. I want the proof I require if he wants any chance for my vote and it's just that simple. And damn right I will demand it of any other person on the face of this planet running for an office that I live under and essentially pay for via taxes.

Oh yes, Obama does indeed have to prove to every single voting american that he was born here. But you know what the problem is with America today? Voters who do not require absolute proof of a person's eligibility for President, because that person is of the same political party. Voting is America's greatest freedom of all. It's a shame it's become a joke at this point with everyone voting for their party regardless of who the person is that's running. Regardless of what they stand for. And ultimately it's the conservatives who decide who wins.

I don't think your parents have any effect on your eligability for running for president. If he was born here he was born here. So your telling me an orphan who doesn't know who his parents are has no chance of being president? My dad was born in italy and my mom in U.S. Does that mean I'm not eligeable? I think our country is dead and this is why, we can't even produce candidates anymore without people skitzing out and trying to nullify a candidate. Lets just say you have to be born in U.S. 50 states of 2 parents who were born in U.S. And you had to be born between working hours on a weekday. That better? Funny, I wanted to vote for the guy who will support Amtrak. Well if this story is true, I can kiss Amtrak Good bye, or maybe Hilary Will end up leading this Country. I don't like John McCain because he's anti Amtrak. Considering whats going on with the Airlines and high Fuel prices. There's One good thing About Amtrak. I know of no one who has loss there Check Luggage with Amtrak. Plus they don't charge you for an Extra Bag, only for your bicycle. Also you have leg room, but thats another story.

i was listening to the radio today and hear someone on there talking to the host about how he should be ready for Obama to be president because the host was white, and all the white people and the white politicians should stop tripping and get ready for change. basically, she sounded exactly like some of you people sound, dillusioned about the idea that he will change anything but his underwear.
