In my humble opinion, those who are vehemently against the Obama campaign are grasping at straws.

I am no supporter of his. I agree on many points that he is not who we are being told he is, and his 'differences' are a matter of cosmetic word-crafting and image engineering.

But the truth is, when delivering speeches one is often thinking well 'ahead' of the words coming out of one's mouth. There are many rationales that can explain his 'faux pas' but you know, if they were conscious contrivances he surely would have to know that he would be called on it. While I often marvel at the obtuse idiocy of the political game, I can't believe he would be so completely clueless as to think no one would make the connection.

But in the end, this is a partisan issue, mostly argued by those who still maintain that the choices are real and the leaders offered up by the parties are somehow not going to take the path charted for them by the corporate-political machinery.

You folks can support whoever you like, that is the utmost limit of our political freedom. Rest assured, however, that if you are reading this, you will have been told, this is political shadow puppetry, and a true confidence game. I can't imagine how, after the last couple of decades of political history, you haven't seen this to be true.

I starred your post, but don't you recognize all of life as a confidence game? Anything you want in this life is a game of confidence.

And??? Whats wrong with that?

The guy was a "radical" sure, but so were the founding fathers. When they decided to fight the British did that make them terrorists?

He was just fighting back at an oppressive system.

Hence my avatar.... "bring the war home!"

You know what is funny though????

I hope you all rightwingnuts get to suffer through 8 years of pinko commie liberalism just so you can get a reverse taste of all the crap us "liberals" have dealt with for the last decade.

The flaw in your thought process is that not only will republicans and conservatives suffer but all of America including you libroids.

First off, the liberals have had a Congressional majority since 2006. I think we all know Congress carries more power than the president and Diane Feinstein, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have managed to pull some ultra-fine crap in their time.

Second, it's nice to see you're looking out for what's best for the nation and not what's best for your party.

Yes, fighting back at an oppressive system with violence. And look at your next post - you're whining about the Republican administration's drawbacks, obviously one of them being the war in Iraq right? How can you claim it's no problem to be friends with a violent rebel and yet be opposed to violence at the same time?

Nice set of conflicting morales there.

Real tough for a Liberal congress to get anything done with a unpopular Conservative President.

Huh. That's a double edged sword isn't it? Real tough for a conservative president to get anything done with an unpopular liberal-led congress (14% approval rating need I remind you).

Liberal, conservative.....none of that matters. Democracy in america is an illusion. You really think anyone in charge of things cares about you at all? You know who politicians care about? That 1% of people that makes more than 99% of everyone else put together, thats who. The billionaires who put them in office, thats who. But Average joe america-They don't care at all.

Laugh all you want, but the real joke is on the O(bs)ama supporters (or Obamaphiles, if you will) for supporting a candidate that has no real substance. So, in a way, you were right -
about O(bs)ama.

The last time we had a president that spoke like O(bs)ama, was Jimmy Carter. If anyone remembers, or checks their history, the country threw him out after just 4 years of ineptitude.

So, even if O(bs)ama wins, the Carter II presidency won't last more than 4 years before the country is asking for another Republican president. They'll be saying, "Come back, we're begging you!".

There is a time and place for everything.

Do you even know why the weathermen were doing what they were doing?
Because a bunch of "conservatives" were doing the same thing crap back then....
Unilateral wars....wrong.
Standing up to those waging them....right.

The problem is that there are only two choices.

I've just seen this and it's JAW DROPPING

Devastating New YouTube Video: John McCain's Neverending War watch!
A nine minute video montage of John McCain's warmongering lies on Iraq.

I don't know what's wise anymore...

Ah yes, the old "ends justify the means" argument from both the Communist and Democratic Party manifestos. It is used to justify flip-flopping, pandering and all sorts of other political abuses.

Yeah, right. Probably forgot more history than you've ever learned - and still know more than you do. Can't speak for Newt, but I'm confident that he'd also turn you into a 'logical pretzel' if you ever tried to debate him - which you couldn't because you don't know enough to debate anyone.

It's also typical demo BS to immediately start with the name calling when challenged on one of your sound bites. Yes, sound bites, because the typical demo - especially the ones that are still in school (you?) - has only a thin veneer of "knowledge" on any of these subjects consisting of a few sound bites they've picked up from parents and/or teachers, or if older from watching Michael Moore crockumentary films.

Please try again in a few years, and I'll be happy to give you another chance. Of course, as soon as you get out in the real world with a real job and real responsibilites you'll most likely be posting from the same side as me.
