Lloyd, what you are doing is called "trolling". People many times ignore trolls.
Asking why Quazga replied as you is trolling? I think it's a very valid question. It sure sounded like you replying, but with a different screen name. I could be wrong though..

Have something else to say about the speech?

I thought it lacked substance, and really said nothing new. I'm sure you and
Quazga will both disagree with me..

Nobody has said less more eloquently than Senator Obama. He's an empty suit and, IMO, the most unqualified presidential candidate in history.

By essentially saying nothing, speaking to platitudes of "change" and "hope" he has managed to become almost all things to his base. That is, by not really saying anything, and saying it brilliantly, he can be anything you want him to be.

Strip away the Messiah worship, white guilt of many of his supporters and the brilliant 20/20 hindsight a leader does not have the luxury of falling back and what's left?

Someone who gives an amazing speech and has a grand total of 143 DAYS in the Senate. Oh lets not forget the "Community Organizer" role in Chicago.

This man Obama is the one people like without reason other then something within yourself being drawn to this "Truth" that he has for change.

I don't get it. You seem to say that you just like the person (Obama) for his offer of "change", whatever that is and because you innately "like" him, so he must be the one to lead us. I think you are going to be very dissapointed with his change should he get elected.

"There's a lot of people in the Middle East who are desirous to get into the Mitchell process. …But first things first. These terrorist acts and, you know, the responses, have got to end in order for us to get the framework.. the groundwork.. not framework, the groundwork to discuss a framework for peace, to lay the.. all right."

Your fearless decider.
Substance.

That's funny, where is that quote from. So what has to end first the terror acts or the responses to them? Lord help us if we get attacked again with him in office. Chances are, looking historically that Al Quedda will strike early in the term of the next President. That has been their operating procedure. They did in early in Clinton's and Bush's.

Like Michelle Malkin is some sort of legitimate anything? She ranks down there with Micheal Savage and Ann Coulter as a boil on the ass of our nations politics.

The so called blame America first bullhooey from the right is nothing less than a shallow and ignorant attempt to prevent any serious discussion about our nation's roll in the world and the reprocussions of it's policies.

To say that we are wrong about something is not unpatriotic... indeed it is profoundly patriotic because it is an attempt to engage in a dialogue on how to better ourselves and our standing in the world as opposed to blindly asserting that we can do no wrong.

Bot I'll tell ya what McCains was the most lively I've ever heard from him too. Now we are getting down to the "nitty gritty"

My apologies, I should have BOLDED the I.

I was not speaking as Benevolent Heretic, I was speaking for myself. I supported BH's point, and what I should have said...

what I am saying...

Anyway, what makes you a troll is ignoring the substance of what I stated.

Now that we've cleared up the mudiness, why don't you respond to it?

What I, [Quazga], am saying is that he is representing himself EXACTLY the same way in which we Obama Supporters are representing ourselves. We all know this, and we all realize how the Ultra Right and Left (read: Lunatic Fringe) attempts to demonize people who speak truth to power too frequently, so Obama chooses his battles wisely before he gives a speech, as we all do about these issues.

This man is far too insightful, too intellegent to lead the United States of America.

Ok, I guess what Obama says makes sense from a PR standpoint.

What I cannot get past though is the fact that the underlying motives prevail.

What I want him to tell us is the true motive. Our Energy asprations in Iraq are failing and our last ditch plan is to put a stable government in afghanistan so that the pipeline projects being stalled can proceed to get oil from the caspian through turkmenistan, afghanistan and pakistan.

We know that our stragic interests are to keep oil coming in. We can all accept that. So why can't we stop talking in euphemisms and bull and just say:

"Look, if we don't get these oil pipelines and secure our oil interests, we're screwed."

"We know Iraq is a failure and it's time to accept it, so let's at a minimum accomplish what we were supposed to do in the first place and get that caspian oil."

Why don't we just come clean here, is the thing I cannot get past.

Even though I think it's disgusting to steal resources and kill people, I also know that it's how America has become a power to begin with.

Oh nevermind!!!

You take away the speech writers and teleprompters and you get stutter-riddled gibberish. I heard his Amman, Jordan press conference and he sounded stoned. I wanted to put myself out of my misery. 45 minute conference and a good 10 minutes of it were stutterjunk while he was reaching for a politically correct thought to answer with.

Pretty bad when a person cant simply say what he really thinks when asked a question and has to prequantify his answers to match his ever changing positions on issues.

I cant stand either one of these guys. Disgusting choice for an election.

whether you like him or not, he is articulate and knows how to grab attention. As far as talking without a prompter or written speech, many people have difficulties doing this. Give the man his dues. I bet you McCain wish he was as articulate. I know I do.

OMG - isn't that being a bit premature and putting the Cart before the Horse? Try using logic and facts instead of making a bold assumption the he is some kind of Hero that is going to save America.

Get a grip.

Since you utilize worldnetdaily and Michele Malkin as accurate media references I would be careful about calling someone else illogical. I'll admit that the comment was a wee bit over the top though.

*look at me, I need attention*

as for obama, in his speech I guess whomever wrote it couldnt decide whether people should be soldiers, or be educated enough to realize we need less soldiers and more people that do matter like scientists and more innovation. less buying foreign made goods because our goods are lesser quality..

It must be difficult to stay in character, huh?

Anyway, what makes you a troll is ignoring the substance of what I stated.
What I consider to be troll-like behavior is using two characters to back up your own position. That's also a violation of the TOS, but I don't care, and apparently nobody else does either.

Now that we've cleared up the mudiness, why don't you respond to it?
Yeah, we're all clear as to your duplicity.

So, it's okay for Barack Obama to misrepresent himself to the American voters because winning the election is all that really matters...

I believe that was the position stated by you/BH wasn't it? You can try to paraphrase it any way you like, but basically your saying lying is acceptable if it garners the votes.

Ron Paul may have sidelined his campaign by speaking the truth, but at least he told the truth. In my opinion that makes him a much more honest man than Obama. Some people still have moral and values, and don't believe the ends justifies the means.

Get your History correct please, Bush called himself a "War President" in a context, his presidency has been defined by War, even though that was never his intention. Initially, while running for the Presidency, and before 9/11, he was intending a policy of American Isolationism. This policy was thrown out the door and he had to resort to a policy of Interventionism...

As for Obama, asides from being an complete Idiot, and having the stupidest wife I have ever seen in a politician, except for Teresa Heinz Carrie, he IS ANTI-AMERICAN...

In the faint possibility that he could be elected, I think Bush and the Military should do everything in their power to keep this idiot from destroying America!!!

If this Muslim wins, I say the hell with democracy, bring on the ARMY...

Did anyone else hear Rush Limbaugh's clip of Obama's stutters?

It was hilarious? Uhmmm.. Uh... and uh... haaa haaa!

Obama sounded like an idiot. But, when reading from text, he's quite charismatic. I don't care for him when he's speaking on the go, he just doesn't have as much punch!

Thanks for the quick reply MS, but I still have my doubts. I've seen this little game played too many times on other forums. I'm through posting to this thread, and will simply use the ignore feature in the future for these two entities.
