I have been thing about the ufo subject for quite some time.. I am stuck with this question. How mad would you be if you found that your/our government has been hiding UFO information since the 1940's

A CNN recent poll show that most people believe the government is hiding this information.

Is the U.S. government hiding knowledge of UFOs?
Yes 88% 1968
No 12% 269
Total Votes: 2237

Sound off.. what do you think? How mad would you be?

I think if the general population found out that the government is hiding this.

It would cause anarchy in the usa

No the video had nothing to do with it. Just that the statement I made was honest and just reminded me of the song. That's all.

I see no reason to get "mad" as I believe the government hides many things from it's citizens.

I would be very happy for disclosure concerning aliens.

Actually, I wouldn't be mad.

I had an even when I was 14 and witnessed with my sister. I will be 37 next week. Anytime I tell the story, my hair on my arms stands straight up.

So, I would be upset, but not mad since I am not in denile. The governments already does enought to make me madder than a pissed off hornet.

Really can't get any madder at them, they've done ticked me off already.

I'd like to use other adjectives but can't here.

Highly unlikely that it would cause anarchy, if I found out the government was indeed hiding aliens it would come of no shock...what would change? Nothing...science, that's about it. The political structure would remain the same, because, people feel they need government for protection. I actually think the release of information that proved the existance of aliens would have a peaceful effect more than an effect of anarchy.

I saw that poll. Its very interesting. 89%, and it pretty much would lend one to think the average person is not as much a sheeple as thought on other issues. They may tend to clutch at straws a bit, and some probably tow the line on the surface, because they're overworked and stressed out and attempt to find some joy and power to keep on going. But under the surface, they're alot more awake than people think. It seems many people are aware of the lies in office, and most people want out of Aghanistan and Iraq, so this pretty much makes sense. I thinks a real trend for how people feel on the surface, and under the surface.

Just came across this. If I found out... Heh. I already know they are hiding the fact that UFOs are (mostly) of alien origin. And I am not angry.

I am disgusted with all the robotic humans that take orders or are too chicken[snip] to stand up and tell what they know.

I am disgusted with the media that will not make things like the Disclosure Project (regardless of one's take on Greer, et al) a subject for the Nightly News.

I am disgusted that so many let themselves be led.

Anger (and disgust, too) don't do anything for me, really. But I must feel something if I am not to meekly accept the lies and deceit. Anger is destructive and is less preferable by far than disgust, which is more an inward feeling than an outward one. Thus my choice to feel disgust over anger.

This is a really, really good question. I honestly believe that the government hides quite a few things from us. I mean, we know they've hidden military secrets for years, and years, so why is it so impossible that they would hide other things from us?

That being said, I don't know if I would be angry, per se. I'd be happy that they finally told us, and that we'd have proof of aliens and UFOs, but at the same time I can't say I'd be surprised. I mean, as I said before, it's pretty freakin' obvious they've been hiding stuff. I guess I'd be kind of irritated, and I'd be scared, because if God knows what else they're lying about. But I can't say I would be angry.

Nah I wouldn't be mad or angry at all. We all know govt hides things and it's for our own good

disclosure, not gunna happen. Why?, nothing to disclose. I doubt the govt knows what's buzzing our skies and they don't want to admit that.

I surely hope this was said in jest... Any govt "of the people, by the people and for the people" that is allowed to keep secrets is a govt that will become corrupt.

Oh dear. If you believe this, you need some education. My most humble opinion.

I wouldn't be angry at all.

If ETs are real, and stuff was hidden, I would just assume they were hiding it so they could have more secret technological work, etc.

But I got over being angry about truth movement stuff a long time ago. I'm more stoic about it all now.

I dont trust what they say, period. They can admit to whatever, its far more likely that whatever is coming out of them are more lies than it is that they are telling the truth.

I would therefore not feel anything special.

I think people are already mad (at least the experiencers and believers), you only have to read the threads on the forum.

The reason that not so many people are posting is because if/when we get disclosure no-one is really going to be surprised ... we already 'know' that they're holding out on us in our hearts whether we voice that or not.

The real question is 'what other life-changing info are they withholding from us all' ?

It boggles the mind !

I think that there are people in the know within the government that want disclosure, but are afraid that they will be chased down the streets and lynched if they open the Pandora's box of lies.

The late astronaut Gordon Cooper had a catching thing to say about it in my opinion:

It started in World War II, when the government didn't want people to know about UFO reports in case they panicked. They would have been fearful it was superior enemy technology that we had no defense against. Then it got worse in the Cold War for the same reason. So they told one untruth, they had to tell another to cover that one, then another, then another...it just snowballed. And right now I'm convinced a lot of very embarrassed government officials are sitting there in Washington trying to figure a way to bring the truth out. They know it's got to come out one day, and I'm sure it will.

But on the other hand there are obviously officials that want this to remain secret to benefit from it.

But I for one won't be mad if they "come out of the closet", we'll just send all of them to labor camps on Mars.

The part about our govt hiding things for our own good, yes ! Hence the smiley

I agree, but the fact is governments control us not the other way around. So how exactly are we suppose to get the govt to reveal their secrets?

Oh dear. If you believe this, you need some education. My most humble opinion.

Well to be fair, we don't know what the govt knows. If we did then disclosure would be irrelevant.
Maybe I do need some education, but I demand hard facts not hearsay. Obviously I'm not expecting you to educate me, but without something tangible that just leaves us with "belief".

I dont think they are hiding aliens knowledge from us..I dont think they are capable of accomplishing such a feat.. the government is much to incompetent to pull something like that off.. I would bet my house on it.. its just impossible.
