Looks to me like a normal liner lock, with the blade handle removed and the liner does not look bent, IMO.

Not a CRKT, but it shows how the liner lock is normally supposed to be angled off to the side.

(shrug).

This is the pattern my wife keeps drawing - on phone bills, on place mats, on the telephone pad.

Your wife is senior staff in health care.

You could get hypnosis by some of her friends in a couple of days without arousing any suspicion, but you couldn't get medical treatment by some of her friends without arousing suspicion?

Someone said they think your crazy for having a knife handy. Anyone unprepared when were in our most vulnerable state is crazy imo.

I have 2 knives that I keep handy 100% of the time.

The black one I keep on the floor by my bed within arms reach. The silver one I have clipped to me wherever I go, I don't exactly live in the cleanest or safest place, there is a bullet hole near the stairs to my apartment and the prior tennents found it prudent to install a secondary caged door....o.O.

Duncan, thanks for the support, and as I said all along this was going to STAY a RATS thread, not for main board.

Well thought of establish people here have contributed in RATS, but out here ? they would not post for fear of being flamed and subject to ridicule like I have here.

They did say this would get viscious, and one even said it would be very funny how many many new members with one or two points would drop in and flame this thread.

I am trying my damn hardest to answer all and every question... you can see that and still yuo pour scorn on my efforts to answer..

I agree Mr RATS, it should of stayed in your forum.

The blade has snapped off at the point where it is secured i.e. at the pivot point. The blade is gone, totally gone. What you see is whats left.

If the blade has snapped off at the pivot, there should be two bits of metal, the larger sharp piece being in the "fish beast" and the smaller piece from behind the rivit.

Do you have the smaller piece from behind the rivit?

If u did that would show that the blade was snapped and not removed.

I'm sorry but after going over all the details and the posts, there are too many things that just do not seem right. If this is a hoax I expect Dan to get the same penalty as all others that come to ATS to mislead the membership.
Please continue to analyze and scrutinize this topic until you can come to your own conclusions but it is my sincere feeling that Dan is perpetrating a hoax on ATS and I am extremely saddened by this.

I am no leaving this thread. It makes no sense to follow a story that is not real.

Wrong - skepticism is NOT the ONLY rational response. In your OPINION this may be the case, but empirically you are wrong.

You cannot prove he is lying and he cannot prove he is telling the truth. You have an impasse.

To be rational (something skeptics claim to be, but never are) - you would remain neutral on the claims made. You have no more evidence that Dan is lying than you do that he is telling the truth.

Therefore the logical, rational approach is to be neutral - and await further information.

You didn't even read the first posts did you ? This blade is the first blade that hit the creature in the eye. The second fully missing blade is my blade i call 'the good news'. Thats the blade that is fully, handle and all vanished.

the blade to my knife i have the handle to has also vanished, where abouts unknown.

I said all of the above in my first few posts. the wife THREW me the good news so i could use it as the creature tried to control my right arm...

I posted all that already ......

I read your entounter with mixed feelings the truma physical and emotional are quite real. the one fact remains that you beleive it. Sceptics are found in abundacy, yet two wittneseees with simular accounts can't be dismissed. I can only set this aside for further confirmation as this drawn from memory discription was serisosly lacking. hmmmm, no, nobody mentioned your "good news"

All I asked was where was the small secondary part of the blade, it should in theory be on the floor or bed somewhere? you have shown us the alleged handle for this broken flip knife. But where is the sliver of metal from the rear of the broken blade?

or did they clean that up to?
