In a McCain Ad it shows a gas pump while talking about CURRENT gas prices. Oops, the math of 1.something gallons for whatever came out to 2.55 a gallon. Where are the current gas prices only 2.55 a gallon? Anywhere? Only in McCain land? Can I live there? I'll give up the right to freedom of speech and send all my money to Halliburton and Exxon if I can get gas for 2.55 a gallon.

It depends on the state, but up here in Connecticut it ranges anywhere from $4.22 to $5.01 per gallon. Source

We get our gas at Costco though, it's usually 10 cents cheaper. My guess is that they are not trying to compete with any gas stations, and change the prices accordingly when the wholesale prices of gas change. Unlike gas stations who slowly drop the price of fuel when their neighboring station does, making prices stay higher for a few weeks before coming back to reality.

Can you tell us where you saw the AD? Can I find it online, as I don't really watch T.V. and wouldn't watch it just to see 1 ad.

I'm not quite understanding when you talk about the math part, did you see the prices at the pump as 2.55? Maybe it was filmed awhile ago... but that wouldn't make much sense.

Still cheaper than anywhere that calls it petrol.

Actually, it's averaging around $4.10 a gallon.

My friend in Sweden says its about 14 Kronors per Liter.

14.00 SEK = 2.34432 USD xe.com

1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liters

14*3.78541178 = 52.99576492 SEK ( lets round up to 53)

53 SEK = 8.87409 USD

$8.8741 per gallon in Sweden. Just wow.

My god, where do you live? I lay awake at night dreaming about gas for $4.10 a gallon!

Seriously, here in the north Bay area of California, the price is running about $4.55 to $4.85 a gallon for regular, with a dime or more a gallon added for each grade up from there.

But at least we are not in France, or Britain, where with the currency exchange rate and all they pay $8 to $10 a gallon for "petrol." Maybe they should just call it "gas," would the price come down?

On TV. And it showed like 1.94 gallons and the guy was only paying something like 4 80. In the end it came out to 2.55 a gallon. It was on TV then later on several news shows who were all asking, where is McCain getting 2.55 gas.

It's kinda hard comparing different countries prices on gas since a lot of other things play in... do you get free health care, how much money and how much tax do you pay etc. etc.

As am example gallon price in Denmark is around 9.5 dollars, but we get totally free health care, schools and a lot more.

Actually considering USA is the largest consumers that are sucking up the oil supply of the world greedily I think you should be paying the most out of all countries... might get a few big butts out of big fuel guzzlings Cars that are absolutely ridiculous!

well...we get publicly funded schools k-12...and...no healthcare...we in california get taxed for everything yet our roads are so crappy that private organizations have to renovate them. So in reality, we get nothing. If we got everything you guys get, heck, I'd be willing to pay 8bucks a gallon.

NO ONE SHOULD BE PAYING 8 OR EVEN 4 DOLLARS A GALLON!

Why is oil and gas so high? Because the oil companies are working together to inflate the price of oil. Speculators cause it to go up. And recently the Dems tried to pass a bill to ban price gouging but the GOP and Bush Admin stomped it out so we now know for a fact the oil companies are gouging prices at the pumps.

If the Bush Admin wasn't in charge and the oil companies weren't allowed to price gouge and the speculators were canceled oil would be under 60 a barrel and we'd all be paying a lot less for gas.

Hi
3.785411784
I could only wish I had those cheap ass prices!
Price in the Netherlands per liter
Super 95 1.68 EUR = 2.66485 USD x 3.785411784 = 10.08$ per galloN!

OFFTOPIC A BIT
Royal Dutch Shell 2nd largest private sector energy corporation, 1st BTW is Exxonmobil. And still the dutch pay the most expensive gasoline price in the world. Fricking elitetist especially the dutch queen whole family who have shares and run it behind the screens. Most politician in NL who become prime ministers come from SHELL.
NOTE this is the cheapest gasoline super 98 and Vpower 100 octane is close to 1.80€ per liter.
