Police chase UFO over Cardiff

Although UAV's do exist, currently they dont fly around willy nilly on automatic pilot over known air traffic corridors. But nice try!

Probably just a UAV on an automated course and since there was no pilot on board the operator probably wasn't even aware of the collision or just decided to run because he knew it would be reported as an Unknown Flying Object.

I wish we could just get rid of the whole UAV idea, as its not the right direction.....

They said they couldn't see this thing on their FLIR camera's.....

UAV's would be able to be seen, simple as that!

The UAV explanation is hard to buy. People who fly planes and choppers know this stuff and would not call an UAV a "flying saucer with blinking lights".

For nearly 10 months now I've been compelled to research things -mostly ufo, cosmos, paranormal, life after death, etc..related...on the eve of 5th April this year I finally saw something. I reported it on MUFON even though I'd only seen the website maybe once before.Ijust knew I should report it somehow responsibly - as for reporting to out UK MOD I thought nah! who cares there! I also joined ATS forum within 24hrs, ATS being one of a few interesting sites I've frequented and resonated with, (started with hearing a John Lear Coast2coast interview I think!) And I had all intention of posting something here on ATS. time went on..I've been reading up since...

In the UK the MOD files were released (or plans to release iminently)in the last few months, the day it wa in the news I checked up on my info I'd left on MUFON site. Now you have to become a member just to read articles there - before it was free to search the site, and when I originally posted my story on MUFON, I discovered that a lady and her daughter had seen the same object the previous night some miles North of me (Pontypool area of South Wales, UK (penpernelli in fact - prob spelled wrong by me!) )

then I saw the Cardiff helicopter story and article link here on ATS and I thought

So I think it selfish to hold onto what I know... especially as nearly anyone I tell finds it boring and uninteresting. anyway here is almost an identical account I posted on MUFON's website.
5th April 2008 9.20pm-9.22pm approx time:

"at 9.20 ish pm(Gmt) I went outside to find something in 1.my car, and then 2.across the street to my mother'car (if I found nothing in my car!).I was reaching in my car and a bright light moving caught my attention. I saw what I feel was the same object on Friday eve and then It passed over at the average height of a plane (the same as tonight). On fri night what I saw I kind of said 'nah' to myself, although this was silent it did seem to waver/veer slightly left in it path. moved like a plane-glided- in air but was silent. It kind of headed E(ast)E(east)N(orth) friday(towards Germany?) but this eve it was going due East. I guess it got almost above Chepstow (or 4 miles away tops - maybe within 10,000feet?), I was watching unsuredly at this point. I said some things to myself. All sorts of things came to mind like I suddenly realised-trusted some sort of intuition -I should run in and get the vcr camcorder I have downstairs. anyway within 10-15 seconds this thing moved off kind of EES direction at what seems 30-40 degrees. It did get smaller and within 5-10 secs got slightly light orange. It left sight!simple as."

In Summary
NB. a)in hindsight I'd say it didn't so much waver as have a very slight appearance of a slight curve to it's overall horizontal path(before it left atmosphere);
b) it definitely left the atmosphere, I know what I saw even though I don't know what I saw..if you get my drift!
c) wish I'd filmed it but it just wasn't meant to happen then I guess.

p.s. glad to see other fellow brits involved in these discussions, especially good to see that at least one celeb type (Mr Williams good on you) brit has some sense in searching for some truth about who we really are, who we are really related to in this huge cosmos.

possibly just the beginning of false flag invasion, providing orchestrated situations to show up in the media to build the feeling of threat.

when the terrorist card runs out of air.. what's the next "threat" card to use?.. even as perfectly authenticated as the "pilots" being the results of genetic experiments.

ah.. the "holy-wood" of the druidic wand.

Great find on that video from the Wales newscaster, I loved the UFO footage that went by quickly too at the end!

Interesting, they said the helicopter TRIED to get footage but that it "wouldn't register" on their heat seeking equipment!

He also said that they "gave chase" to the UFO was a false report, so what's the top speed of helicopter like that anyway? Anyone know?

As someone said, I wonder about the radar stamp? Wish they would come out with the whole story soon before it fades away from the public eye ...I can dream can't I???

im liking most of this i think et thought this was another black helicopter and he tried to light em up a bit operating at 1amish i cant believe they didnt have the flir on im sure they just fly around in the night with all their toys turned off trying look for thieves and mischeifs theyre all ready changing theyre story some ones got to them again they'll be relegated to tea and crumpets on the thames at 3pm and never get to go out at 1am and pretend to use their toys

That's the one I was referring to earlier. Good find. I first saw it on an ITV police documentary. It must have happened around 2000, 2003. It took place over Brighton and in the TV prog you could hear the voices of the cops in the Helo. They clearly had no idea what it was. It maintained the same height and bearing and headed out across the Channel.

exactly. And many videos I have seen on ATS coming out of England look alot like diamond/triangular shaped solar balloons. There are some interesting videos on youtube that look extremely similar to alot of what I have seen recently posted out of England. (I'm assuming the video you posted was shot by english officers also judging by the accent).

It looks eerie, but again.. It could be one of these cylindrical balloons. Most solar balloons I've seen on youtube are either cylindrical or diamond shaped/triangular.

The difference with this object (in your youtube video) is this one has a light. But someone could just be sending up these balloons with lights on them because they know they are getting attention with all the sightings going on in England. What I've seen just lacks enough detail to prove one way or another what they are. But they do look very similar to some of these balloons. One of the youtube videos shows how a diamond shaped solar balloon made from trash bags traveled 500 miles. It took them 8 hours of driving to get to where it finally landed.

The Helicopter was a ECT135 (police configuration) it is capable of 150 knots or approx 170 miles per hour. It is jointly leased by South Wales and Gwent Police. and would have had Officers from both Police forces on board.

The Helicopter is leased from Bond Air Services based in Gloucester Airport, and the Pilots are employed by Bond.

This Chopper or Cab as the aircrews like to call it, is only about 3 months old it is one of only 15 in this configuration, in operation with UK Police.
This one has the uprated powerplant, and it bristling with the latest surveillance equipment.

The Air Support unit operates out of RAF St Athan having recently moved there from its original base in Cardiff Heliport, due to the ending of a contract with its former operators Veritair. The ECT 135 replaced the Squirell helicopter that was leased from Veritair which was slow and cumbersome in relation to this new model.

Raf St Athan is not an operational RAF base but merely services RAF aircraft. It used to be the main Driving school for the RAF until reverting to its current role. and can be seen on Google Earth.

It is very close to Cardiff International Airport and it is said that Air Traffic Control assisted the crew in thier persuit.

Someone could have fired a missile at the helo. I doubt cops would know what that would look like. Maybe it was Mr Smith from down the road in his flying contraption he knocked up in his shed eh?

The UFO thing is gaining momentum, I know something big is gonna happen soon with all this. Remember that pilot over the english channel saying he saw a thing over a mile in length last year? All coming to a head in peoples minds. Even the metro paper was saying (to people on the morning bus asleep and suseptible to programmiung) that the UK is "open to ufo threat".

Things are gonna get crazy real soon.

I for one, think the account that the helicopter gave chase to the North Devon coast is a newspaper fabrication.

The thing was travelling at great speed, so the heli could not keep up, so why chase? And the Echo report made no mention of giving chase, only the Sun said that, and we all know what to expect from the Sun.

Was it dark or daytime? if dark they would quickly have lost sight of it.

I'd have thought flying accross the channel was not something to be advised as it increases risk (might crash land into water)

Has anyone found out more about the Terry Phillips "neighbour hood watch" guy in the Echo, where he saw it and when?
