Just like in many countries of the time. Marriage to 13 and 14 year olds was actualy not that unheard of. It took place in this country until the late 1890's. Many of Smiths marriages where token only and never consumated. After his death women that had signed contracts to marry him still was fullfilled. Odd yes, polygamist yes, pedophilic, definatly not.
And..if was Porter still alive, you'd be dead! He had a habit of despatching desenters. Fortunatly he is no longer with us. So feel free to besmerch LDS all you like. I'm sure they appreciate it. And also. Its only sects that have broken away from the Church that practice the old ways.

Much of what the church teaches confused and creeped me out also. Thats why I no longer attend. Being the son ,of a son, of a son, of Mormon preachers makes me the black sheep of the family,LOL No offence taken ,Bud, just my old curmudgeon self popping up again!!

I'll have to agree with you on that, some waaaay more than others.

I mean these muslims believe in honor killings, they kill their own daughters if they don't approve of how they behave! and under their "sacred" law this is fully legit.
This so called religion needs to be stopped, it needs to be brought to its knees and dissipated like the enemy that they are.

No greater sound than the boots of U.S. Marines marching these whackos off to modern day internment camps. (I know we have a few around the country...hmm I wonder why?) I can't wait!!!!

The Prophet Muhammad is The Messenger of God and the Last Prophet sent to mankind, God has chosen him from above all men of Mecca in his time, he was known as the Trustworthy even before his calling to be God's last Messenger.

I would react the same if someone try to slander the name of Jesus or any of the other Prophets.

You do realize more people have been killed int he name of Jesus than any other religious figurehead right? You must also know, of course, that it was perfectly acceptable for Christians and Jews to practice polygamy as well. It was already pointed out about marriages to the young. Another quick fact arranged marriages are not strictly a Muslim thing. Jews do it, Siehks do it, Hindus do it, Buddhists do it, Shintoists do it. In fact there are still Orthodox Christians that still do it.

So go ahead and slander a religion that you have no understanding of. Go ahead and ignore that this is not a religious thing but more a way of life thing. I think you need to read a book or two that contains facts and not the fairy tales you have been reading. Maybe a few cultural lessons are in order as well.
