Was wondering when you had these dejavu experiences is that it? Is it just a feeling of been there done that? The reason I ask is because I have had that too but there is some lost time in there for me, For example I was at my mothers house and My mom, dad, and I were talking about something and the next thing I know my mom was standing right in front of me... I didn't see her move or anything, when I looked up at her she asked if I was alright and I was kind of confused but I was ok then she asked if I remembered her smacking me, not once but any of the three times she smacked me? I didn't remember that or how she had gotten in front of me but the odd thing is like a week or so before I had seen this whole thing played out in a dream.....

Well, I'm a n00b here, but I do have more than a few stories. I'm not going to bombard you with all of them, but I do want to share one.

When my ex-wife and I first met, I was living in a little "country shack" looking house in middle of the city. It had always struck me as odd because it was very rustic looking. The outside was weathered wood, the roof was tin metal (with plywood underneath, or at least i always assumed that.) The inside was fairly modern, the floors were hardwood in the living room, carpeted in the hallway, and tile in the kitchen.

Now the only thing inside that gave any hint as to the authentic age of this house would have been the walls in the hallway, which were completely made of wood, and done in such a fashion that there were seperations between the boards of wood. It never really dawned on me that this was unusual, I had thought perhaps the owners had done it that way just to keep up the appearance that the place was old.

Now, this house was great, 3 Bedroom, 3 bath, and at $500 a month, I wasn't complaining. Although, when I did move in, I had asked them why I had gotten the place (I was only 21, and had only been at my job for about a year and a half), to which the owner and his wife basically told me "Well, no one else that saw it ever got back with us about it." I chalked it up to good luck and moved myself right on in without a moments hesitation.

About 2 weeks after I moved in, I started hearing noises in the house, but I chalked it up to the place being old and attempted to ignore it. Now, keep in mind, at this time, I was a huge skeptic about anything paranormal. This was a mindset I would soon shed. One day, as I was attempting to unpack my things and hang them in the closet, I got this weird feeling like something wasn't happy that I was there. I quickly finished hanging up the clothes in the closet in the master bedroom and made my way into the living room to watch T.V.

A few days later, I was outside mowing the grass (yeah, figure that, grass in the concrete jungle. Amazing, huh? *chuckle*), when the man across the street walked up to the fence in what I assumed was an offer to introduce himself. We got started talking, swapped names, the usual crap, then he just looked me in the eye and, as bluntly as any human possibly could, said "You know that place is haunted right?" Well, I laughed at him, but he was serious, I mean completely serious. Anyway, being the skeptic I was, I wrote it off and told him I had to get the yard work done before work, and went back to my mowing.

Well, a couple of months pass, and nothing strange happens, but the noises continued. Then, in the course of one night, everything changes. My girlfriend at the time had decided that we should move in together, and this was a thought I was not at all opposed to. So, we started moving her stuff in, with no major problems, and then came the first time she stayed in the house.

Like I said, up until this point, there had been nothing but noises. Well, as I was about to learn, the old man across the street wasn't joking. The first night she was there, she was in the shower and I was sitting in the kitchen. Out of nowhere, I feel something hit me in the side of the head. At first I thought "Awww damn, a bug got in here!", but after a few seconds, I was suddenly aware of the feeling of someone standing behind me. I turned around, and no one was there, but you know that feeling you get when you KNOW someone is watching you? Well, I had it.

A few more incidents occured in the kitchen, with everything from items moving on the counter to a figure playing under the table and playing with the table cloth, and even one incident where my ex was directly touched by something (which incidentally left a HUGE red/black handprint on her arm).

I am running out of space here, but that's a general idea. If you guys are interested in more, I will start a new thread.

Seruak,

I certainly find your tale very interesting, and would be glad if you made a separate thread for your experiences in the house.

Thanks in advance,

I was 19 when this happened, and no drugs were involved.

I was walking home from a friends one night. It was late, around 11 or midnight or so. It was a dark night, as most nights are overcast weather in northern california. Anyway im on a sidewalk, and I get about 2 1/2 blocks from my house, and I started smelling a skunk bad. I have been confronted by skunks several times, so I started looking around the sidewalk, and cars on the curb, and nearby bushes. At this point I'm still walking forward, but I have my torso, and head bent to the right while I was looking for the source of this skunk smell. Then WHACK, I ran into absolutely nothing. I turned and nothing was there, at all. I hit this thing hard enough for me to bounce back. whatever I hit was bigger than I was, because my whole body hit this thing. I started freaking out. I started feeling out with my hands like a blind man, while looking for people, or someone who threw something, or anything. No one was around. I got home as fast as I could at this point, with my arms outstretched.

I dont know what the heck it was, or if the skunk smell had anything to do with it. This was the experience that made me believe in the realm of the paranormal.

Irealise this post is in "paranormal" but the strangest things I've encountered are not ghosts, UFO's or similiar things. The most bizarre thing I've encountered is the *massive*, overt corruption occuring in the US.

I witnessed the republic being damaged ever so slowly, methodically -- over a period of 30+ years. I've witnessed the media being bought up by profit-centered corporations and their race to control our people through mindless propaganda. I've witnessed the democrats move so far left that they now closely resemble communists. I've witnessed the republicians move so far right that they closly resemble fascists. I've witnessed the police turn from serving-and-protecting-the-people to serving-and-protecting their budgets and serving-and-protecting a criminal government.

Over the last 8 years, I've witnessed a high intensity effort to utterly destroy the Constitution and Bill of Rights. I've witnessed torture and murder of detainees, international kidnapping, secret prisons and war crimes beyond count. I've witnessed government moves to eliminate regulation of the financial markets that have *predictably* brought the US to the edge of destruction. I've witnessed the largest theft in world history through government threats and bribes (bailouts).

In a few years (or less), I will watch the final destruction of the United States.

Life truly is a strange thing. So much to it that I dont know if I can ever really understand it all. But I am sure going to try.

(Im feeling deep tonight

Witnessing multiple UFOs while camping on a remote lake and then attempting to sleep while listening for footsteps. I saw them with a friend which I think made it more weird because we both had to accept what we were seeing. I still don't know what to think about what I saw.

I have had several strange experiences from the age of four. There is one experience that I recall and have not mentioned anywhere on any forum to my knowledge.

As you know, I have had experiences with UFOs and such. On this occasion it didn't involve so much a UFO,but a being.

We were living at our first flat here in Norwich. The front room window looked out onto the car park. Why I can remember it; it is because a few days later we got a letter from the council for a new flat that came up. I wanted a bungalow. It was for a ground floor flat in a block of four. Two up and two down. For a flat, I quite like it here.

Anyway, I had been sitting on the settee in the front room, when I was compelled to look out onto the car park, behind the block of flats. In the semi-darkness, I saw a man all in silver/white. It looked like a one-piece tight to his body and he was looking up towards our flat. I stared at him for the longest time to ascertain who he was and if it was somebody I knew. It dawned on me that the man seemed out of place, and his garments seemed strange. I am not sure how to explain it. He just stood there not moving and looking up at me. I turned around to get my husband to have a look and within an instant he was gone. I went to the side window and he wasn't there. I would have seen him with the way the flats were situated.

To me that was the strangest thing that has happened amongst the plethora of things I have experienced. I wish he would appear on the road where we presently live, so I could see him even closer and maybe get a photo.

my mother and grandmother worked as cleaners in the same school ( portadown tech ).. out the back off the school was a narrow lane that linked the school with the housing estate where i lived.. they both worked from 3pm to 6:30 pm 5 days a week cleaning the school..
my mother did not goto work one day because of illness and asked me \my brother and 2 friends if we would go up to the school at 6:30 to meet my granny so she did not have to walk down the lane on her own.. we agreed and set of to meet her..
being winter it was dark early and there was patchy fog..
as we approached the lane we seen a man in a flat cap and long coat near the entrance to the lane and as we got closure he sort of merged into the fog and dark until we could not see him... we headed down the lane and met my grandmother coming up it shining a touch and she shouted whos there and i shouted back its me granny.. she said she had seen a man as she to approached the lane some 500m away and he to vanished in the dark and fog.. as we walked and talked she shone the touch into the field beside the lane and in the middle of it the touch picked out the dark figure of the man just standing in the field with his back to us some 100 m away.. i shouted to him hey whats your game mister and my granny told me to shut up and to hurry to get to the main road and the street lights.. as we left the lane i turned to see the man again standing this time in the lane and again with his back to us... hurrying along the road to my house we soon realized in front of us in the distance was a man dressed the same standing again with his back to us and my granny went up to the nearest house and banged on the door and asked the owner could we come in for a few minutes because someone was frightening us.. the people in the house where more than happy to oblige and even drove us in there car to my house even thou it was only a few hundred meters away... to this day i find it very troubling..

Hello ATS. I never thought I would have the chance to share my experience with people who could/would appreciate what I will tell...

From the ages of 10-17 years old (more or less) I can clearly remember different occasions when I would go to sleep and at some point in the night I wanted to get up, so I can get a drink of water, or use the washroom, but something was holding me down. I mean I couldn’t even move my head from one side of the pillow to another. It's like I was frozen. I would try soo hard to move my head, or get up, but I couldn’t. It would frustrate the crap out of me, so I would give up and close my eyes..eventually falling asleep. Sometimes I would doze off and try again with no problems and other times I would fall asleep and wake up in the morning; immediately remembering what happened that night. it blew my mind for years and still does.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what could have transpired? I know for sure I wasn’t dreaming!!

Peace Outside.

Here is one of mine

WWII flash back

Back in the summer I fell 20ft and landed head first on my left shoulder. My collar bone exploded and I had to have surgury to fix it. I couldnt sleep in my bed because I had to stay sitting up. While I was sitting on the couch where I had to sleep I woke up one morning then was sortof half awake half asleep. I had a very real ww2 flash back. I was running from 2 nazi soldiers and was shot in the left shoulder. I went running into a barn but they were catching up with me and got me in the barn where they plugged me and I woke up. Ive never had a dream so real like that. Im 22 so I was never in ww2 and I havent seen any war movies for at least 3 years, probably more then that.

Back when I was little I had a few ww2 dream, I dont really remember them.

What made this strange was the detail in everything, it was like real life.

I've had a few strange things in my life happen as well, as I'm sure everyone has.

A few years back I was talking with my youngest cousin and he told me when he was older he had a beard like his uncle. He was about three at the time I believe. I asked him what he had meant and he replied " when I was alive before" and then continued to explain a little of his previous life, I didn't know how to react so unfortunately I didn't write any of it down, sad to say

I used to live in a house with my mother and her girlfriend Sue. The house was built in the early 1900's I believe. Anyways strange things would happen around the house all the time. We all seen figures in the house in various forms but the one that put the icing on the cake was when I was about 13 or so my mother, Sue and myself were all sitting in our family room watching a movie and we all saw someone watching us from behind the door that lead to the kitchen, all three of us did a double take and it vanished.

The most recent ghostly experience I've had was when I was about 17 I was walking back to my friends house from mine and as we were passing the empty corn field we began to hear old music and a females singing,(something you would expect to hear on a phonograph) we looked at each other and I began to dead sprint
latter we researched the area and it turned out a school house used to be in the center of the field, never did hear anything after that.

I believe I've seen UFO's before but I was younger so I can't say.

And I have quite a few more but that's all for now hope you like.

This is more commonly known as sleep paralysis as described in the book "The Head Trip", by Jeff Warren If I remember right it's when your body is fully awake but your mind is still in a stage of sleep, so no matter how hard you try you can't move though you feel fully awake, a lot of times this experience is accompanied with fear, and/or the presence that someone evil is on and/or around you. Hope this helps

Thank you for the reply killacaboose. Almost every time it happened to me I felt as if there was some sort of negative presence around me. I would panic at times, because I didn’t know what the **CK was going on.

Cheers!

The chances is having the same birthday as someone is really only 1 in 30, so it's not as mystical as a lot of people think.

However, have experienced freaky stuff from ghosts, premonitions, succubus attacks and remote viewing...so am well in there with creepy stuff...

Like your stories.

Iv only had one strange experience and that was a few years ago,

Before my experience I used to stop around my friends house, It was a normal terrace style building. every time I went to sleep ( On the settee) I always had strange dreams involving the house / The room I was in.

The one I remember well is that there is this child, a girl of about 5(ish).
I remember her speeding up and down the stairs in a blur of colours. I woke up when the girl in my dream shot down the stairs in a blur and out the front door which is at the bottom of the stairs. I woke in a panic expecting the door to be open.

Anyway one particular afternoon when my friend was a work I asked him if I could go and pick up some CD's Id left. So he gave me his keys and I went.

I got to his house and the sun was shining. I let myself in to find his dog acting strange, he usually comes and jumps up me when I come in but this time he seemed to be hiding behind the sofa. I took my bag off my back and kneeled down to collect my CD's. Then I froze, still looking down, I could feel something around me, I couldn't move for fear, I don't know why. I had a very scared feeling and I had to rush out.

Iv never felt anything like that before, and I have never again. That's why I believe that It was a very strange experience. Since then I havent slept there or visited again on my own.

I know this doesn't seem like much but it has had a real impact on me and I can still recall the feeling of terror that froze me that day.
