A good few years ago I was outside our house, at night, having a smoke and a cup of coffee when I hear the crunching of dry leaves at the opposite end of our garden.

At first I thought it was probably the neighbour's cat or something...
but the leaf-crunching sound was a bit louder than what a cat/dog would make.
Then I thought, maybe it's a person, maybe even a criminal who's been hopping gardens to escape.

So I'm looking, from a distance at the other end of my garden, trying to see what it is. Gradually, two wobbly, humanoid shapes appear side by side.
They were white and seemingly flat, just floating there.
They both had arms, legs, a head and eyes but nothing more definite than that.
I was trying to make sense of what I was seeing, like maybe it's a lighting effect with the streetlamps and the trees... but they were both the exact same shape and side by side, so that rules that theory out.

What confirms that I was experiencing something paranormal, was the fact that these things "wobbled" in a way that I have never seen anything move.
It was like an eratic kind of wobble... but 'eratic' is a serious understatement.
I have NEVER seen anything in the physical world move like these did.

I don't think they were ghosts as such because from what I've heard, ghosts usually look very much like a person. These were just wobbly humanoid shapes, maybe they were spirits (souls out of their bodies) ... or something

Needless to say, I sh@ myself and slowly walked inside our house.
I was tempted to go up to them and say "what's up?" ...but when you're dealing with the unknown - I think a cautious approach is preferable.
My brother arrived home shortly afterwards only to comment that I looked like I had seen a ghost... "funny you should mention that!"

I had a friend who committed suicide a few months prior to this experience.
So maybe he was granted one last visit. Who knows?

A.

I have two experiences that I'll share. The first was when I was in junior high or high school. My sister, who's two years older than me, was doing an experiment in statistics for school. She asked my Mother & I to participate. She had my Mom hold up a card, not letting my see it and then I had to guess the color. Statistically speaking, I should have gotten roughly 50 % right give or take. I got 74% right. Then she asked me to guess what shape was on the card, club? spade? heart? diamond? Statistically speaking, I should have gotten roughly 25% right. I got 62% right. My sister accused my Mother and I of cheating and ruining her experiment. We didn't cheat.

The second thing happened to me this past fall. A client of ours asked me to do some environmental testing on a building they were going to rehab into apartments. The building had been vacant and cleaned out or a few years. The building used to to be a half way house for a psychiatric center. I knew this before entering. I had done some work on the apartments next door when the half way house was still active.

It was in the fall, and although some of the lights worked in the place, I was starting to lose daylight. I was happy with the progress I made and just wanted to finish taking some samples in the last apartment. I was scoping it out to figure out where to take my samples. I left the door to the apartment open. I walked out of the bathroom and saw an old man standing outside the apartment, leaning against the hallway wall. He was tall, hunched, had white hair and was wearing a white barn coat. I immediately thought that someone that used to live there had meandered off the street (My hair is standing on end as I type this.) I turned around and grabbed my flashlight so I could have a weapon. When I looked back, he was gone.

I walked into the hallway (wait a minute, I didn't hear any foot prints. I would have heard him walking down the hall.) I looked down the long hall towards one stair well. There was no sign of him. I walked to the other stairwell and opened the door to the other stairwell (Creak! I would have heard the doors to the stairwells open.) I walked down to the first floor (from the third where I had seen him.) Nothing. I walked back up the other stairwell to the apartment. Nothing. I got my nerves together and finished taking my samples.

I told my husband about it that night. He told me my nerves had gotten the best of me. I told a friend and she told me I was working too hard. I told my Mom and she believed me and was nervous about my seeing a ghost. I'd like to believe it was my nerves getting the best of me, but I know what I saw.

I have read so many thins on this site, I think its about time to contribute something. 4 years ago I went on a trip into the everglades with 3 buddies of mine. It was a 4 day canoeing trip. It was the third night and we were nearing the end of our trip. I had a dream that night. I dreamt it was the next morning and I had left the tent to urinate. I walked around a corner into this very small cove, a small opening in the mangroves. I did my business and was about to turn when I looked down and saw the most horrifying thing I have ever seen in my entire life. It appeared to be a human-like creature, hairless and bone white. Its mouth was gaping like it couldn't breathe and looked terrified. Its eyes were huge. Its nose looked strange but its facial expression is what creeped me out. It was a mixture of fear and absolute rage. Again, I thought this to be a dream because I remember it grabbing me then waking up in it tent. Me and my friends have drifted apart slowly but have a rare email conversations. Two months ago he sent me this:

"We never told you this because we were very confused by what happened. The last morning we saw you go pee and we set up breakfast. When you came back you were stumbling and extremely pale and your mouth was wide open like you couldn't breathe. We went to you to see what was wrong. You grabbed me and looked at me and you looked so scared. And then, you screamed. You made a scream like none I have ever heard. A scream I'm almost positive you could not have made. Then you stopped and took a huge breath. Then you got some color but was still pale. Then you went down on your knees and was wailing and hitting whatever you could while screaming "no", over and over again. Then you grabbed your hair and looked up at all of us and shouted "no" one last time before passing out. We put you in your tent to rest while Jake, Ben, and I discussed what happened. We agreed never to speak about what happened. After hearing the dream you had I had to tell you."

Nothing like that has happened since, and if you don't believe me I don't care. I don't believe it either.

"but one of the strangest was to have time slow to a crawl while I was in hyper mode. And seeing the future events on the television and not realizing it until much later. "

Omoshune,

Please tell us more about this, what did you see etc?

I have also experienced this along with many other things on tv. I would have the news pop up as well with unbelievable events that had taken place but they never happened so it makes me think that it could be future or it's from a parallel universe if they do exist.

It would be nice to hear the rest of your story!
Kindest Regards!

I tried posting Anonymously. Perhaps it did not work. I shall post again. It will not be as well written as I first wrote but I'm more interested in your response. Nobody knows about this but me and my 3 friends.

About 4 years ago me and 3 friends went on a canoe trip through the everglades. We had planned out a 4 day trip but went further than expected on the 3rd day. We decided to sleep on this beach. We setup our tents, changed into our night clothes, and went to sleep.
I was dreaming (or so I thought) and I appeared to have woken up in my tent. So, doing what I thought was normal, I got up and changed clothes. Then, I felt the need to urinate (which I've never had in a dream, ever). I walk down the beach a little ways and around this large mangrove. It looked like a little cove, a rounded area where nothing at all grew (this is strange, if you have ever been to the everglades you see life EVERYWHERE. Even where you dont think there could be. There was a black mangrove in front of me, I remember sucking the salt off of the leaves.

Now, here is where it goes crazy. I zip up and get ready to walk back. Before I do, I look to my right and I saw the most frightening thing i have ever seen, ever. There was a human-like creature laying on the ground looking up at me. It was extremely pale, skin loose, no hair whatsoever and HUGE eyes. It looked horrified and extremely angry. The most terrible facial expression i have ever seen. It appeared to be struggling to breathe also. It then grabbed me. Then I 'woke up'.
I say 'woke up' because that it was a dream until a couple months ago.

I was discussing the trip with a friend who had gone on the trip, I told him about my dream. He asked if I remember what happened after I came back. I did not remember "coming back", i thought i woke up. He said that I did infact walk around the corner.
He said i came running clumsily and crazed. He said I was extremely pale and that I was struggling to breathe. I ran up to him and grabbed him. He said i tried to mouth words but i couldnt say anything. Then he said i screamed. he said i screamed a scream nobody he has ever heard make. Ever. He says it was inhuman. I then proceeded to look back up at him but quickly turned away. I then started shouting "no" louder and louder. I grabbed my hair. Screaming screaming "NO".
I was on the ground flailing hitting anything i could. I soon stood up. looked at all of them and passed out.
I remember nothing of this. I do not believe any of this either. Im in permanent denial having no recollection of this. My friend who told me this is a very honest person, but I'm not convinced.

What do you guys think?

Hmmmm....it sounds a little odd. While I do believe one can "black out" scary experiences (it has happened to me) you didn't forget the scary experience, you forgot you freaked out over it.

Also, if you were screaming and flailing around and basically acting like you had lost your mind surely the other three guys all saw it. They never mentioned it to you? Maybe its a guy thing, and they thought it would be better to just "ignore" your reaction but still.

Hi,I'm new here and thought this would be a good thread to say hello and start off with. So, Hello everyone! I like this forum very much and have already read a good bit.
O.K. So, I have had a few strange experiences in life. But the one that sticks in my mind the most is the one that opened the doors to my tireless quest for knowledge of the paranormal and occult. It was just a dream,or aleast that what alot of people tell me. I also have a big interest in dream interpretation. So this dream stands out as a mystical experience,no matter how frightening.
I had the same dream three times in one week. With one night in between each. I don't know why that matters, but its an observation all the same. I was in bed and felt someone grab my ankles. I begin to float and rise up in a laying position. The ceiling was clearly closer and something was pulling me by my ankles through the air. My cat who slept on my chest was still sitting there, being pulled along with me. It was dark but and I tried to get an empathic feeling from this entiny. Be it a dream or a real creature. To see what it was, and where it may be trying to take me.

Although to my surprize I couldn't get a clear feeling from it. It began to pull me down the hallway. I could see the washer and dryer out of the corner of my eye as I floated by it. I tried to see it clearly and could only see a silhouette of a large figure. Then I kicked it and a feeling of desperation and loneliness covered me as it quickly left me there in the hallway with the cat still on my chest. Floating.

I awoke in my bed of course, with the cat still on my chest. But the scary part is, the next day my ankles were red and sore.
Part of me thinks is some strange psychological response, and part of me knows better. Any ideas? I can't find anything like this in my reserch.

I'm really enjoying this discussion since it covers so many subjects.
Like many of us seem to, I have had several strange things happen in my life especially of the ghost or ufo variety but this one that is kind of different came to mind:
When I was a kid we had a dog who always used to chase our car for a couple of blocks when we went somewhere. This was long enough ago and in a small enough town that leash laws weren't really enforced and a lot of people's dogs ran loose. On one occasion we were going to the library which was a few miles from home, probably a ten minute drive. As usual the dog chased us for a block or so then he stopped and we went on. When we got to the library sitting on the sidewalk in front of the building was our dog looking like he had been there waiting for us all along. We never could figure out how he got there before us or how he even knew where we were going. Needless to say he got to ride back home in the car.

I have a small female chihuahua dog who is normaly very suspicious of people and a little hard to make friends with.
I went with her to the store one day and started across the lot, after parking.
She took off and ran to wards a woman coming out of the store.
The woman saw her coming and leaned over and put her arms out.
My dog took a flying leap and landed in her hands and the woman picked her up and held her against her body.
She asked me, when I caught up if I wanted my dog back.
I said I would let my dog enjoy herself for a minute.
I told her I had never seen her do anything like that before.
She said she had three dogs like her, at home.
Somehow, my dog recognized this woman as something special and immediately loved her.
I was thinking about this a few days ago and thought this has to be about the strangest thing.
And I am a guy who has met Bigfoot, up close and had been attacked by space aliens, and been abducted by demons and done astral projection.

Interesting story. That woman may have had chihuahua's for many years, and owned/lost several generations of them. Makes you wonder if your dog may have known her in a past life.

Or sometimes dogs will gravitate to those that look like their breeders, the lady probably had the same smell (her other dogs) and the lady's dog friendly body language your dog could have thought it was her breeder or something.

I am sure it was not smell because the woman was parked far away from where we were and had been in the store for a while.
The person who bred my dog was not similar to this woman, as far as I can tell.
You might have something, with the past life thing.
I did not think of that.
It seemed inexplicable, to me and went against her normal behavior.
It was as if she was my dogs long lost owner, and seemed closer than anyone my dog has known her whole life.
Right, she possibly had a dog who died and may have been reincarnated as my dog.

Several months ago, a very famous and well reputed actor and writer in my country died. They took him to the National Theater after death until the cremation. As the coffin was taken out from the theater, there was a crowd watching it.

The following day I could see a photograph showing the moment when the coffin left the theater. All the people were looking at the same place, the entrance to the theater, all the people except my uncle. There was a perfect sight of him, wearing the same clothes and the same colors he used to wear, with a face of affliction. My uncle died in 2002.

My uncle, wife and son left our city for another one, in the north-eastern part of the country, almost three decades ago. There they lived for more than twenty years. He died in February 2002, and his wife and son came back to our city in Autum 2006. My uncle is still buried in the north-eastern town, and the family are planning to bring him here, but they haven’t done it yet. I think he feels very sad because he does not receive their visit at the cemetery as before.

I filed the photograph, sent it to my cousin and asked him to show it to his mother. They were very impressed and said that if one wouldn’t know it impossible, they would say it’s him.

Sup everyone.

Back again to further discuss what happened.
My friends told me nothing about what happened.
My friends wanted me to go to the hospital but im not a great fan, so i said "i feel fine, everythings ok."

Im surprised they didnt tell me what happened on the spot. The guy who told me is a guy that doesn't bull&^%$ around and lie chronically, so now that I've been thinking about it after posting I'm not sure what to think anymore. The idea that what happened was real is growing on me. I have had no strange experiences other than that.

Honestly, I'm still not sure what to think. I have never seen what I thought I saw ever again, and I'm grateful. I just cant forget the look on whatever i saws face. It looked absolutely horrified, more than i was. But it also looked angry. I've tried imitating the face to no avail (haha, but really I did try). It didn't appear to be of any orientation from any country I've seen. He just looked scary as hell.

What do i think it was? I would LIKE to think it was an alien or something other-worldly but im a skeptic

The connection of the description between the story from my friend and what i thought was a dream gave me some chills.

I hope somebody could give me some "it could have been" answers, because I cant explain it

I found this thread on another site...others seem to think it maybe a chupcabra.

Florida Everglades … As I see what it is, this god awful looking thing crosses the road, I'll do my best to describe it...5.5/6ft tall, pale white skin, three-toed claws on it's feet and hands, but apparently the hands had a thumb on it. It had a big, round shaped head with two slits for nostrils. No scales though so it couldn't have been a reptile. It had no ears from what I could see as it had oval shaped red eyes, pure red. When it saw me it opened his mouth and snarled at me, had huge canines from what I could see.

Link here: www.unexplained-mysteries.com...

Here is a drawing of a chupacabra...did it look like this? I believe the coloring can vary (but if you aren't Hispanic you probably didn't see one...lol).

Thanks Sonya,
that description actually does not sound that far off.
Its eyes I would say were black with a small white band around like human eyes, but its black pupils were huge. like a scared or aggravated cat's.

Its nose? not just slits, it jutted out a bit, I cant remember the nose that well.
It was not Reptilian like the drawing

It was more fleshy and human. Its skin looked loose and leathery.

Thanks again Sonya

Well the op in the other thread saw this thing at night while driving, so its eyes could have been refecting his headlights. It is a pretty recent thread, a week old or so. You may want to touch base with that guy.
