Really Nighthawk? I dont know but it seems like since FDR since we REALLY started the big big government campaign our country has been going to hell in a handbasket. DEPT of Education? Yeah really helped our kids. Thats why we are no longer the smartest country. In fact we are not even close anymore. Yea the DEPT of Transportation has really done a good job with the roads and bridges. Night when are you going to wake up to the fact that these are bureaucracies and there for show. They dont DO anything. We give them billions of dollars a year and what gets done. NOTHING!!!! We go further and further into debt. If people had all the money they earned they could choose their own school and pay for it instead of going to some government monopolized school. I can go on and on and I agree with midnight. There is a select few and I mean few jobs the government needs to take care of like roads and bridges but the government needs to hire its own people to do it that way we are not losing money paying big executives. We need to nationalize oil also. Its national security and should be ran by the government. We need to bring most of our troops home from around the world. Go ahead and throw a vote in for McCain or Obama.

WE arent stupid we see the big picture. Its most Americans out there. The sheeple that are in my avatar. They are the stupid ones. We have people claiming to be conservative voting for McCain and people who want true freedom voting for Obama. Give me a break.

Unfortunately, I too saw this coming. I am certainly not looking forward to the winner. I don't know what's going to happen, but I am definitely not looking forward to it. At least he did some good before it was all over.

Well, I can't vote so I guess I am just going to wait to see the results.

R.I.P. Ron Paul's presidential bid.

It's a sad day for the US whether people realize it or not, because the only candidate for real change and real prosperity was Ron Paul.

But on the other hand, the US deserves what happens to it because out of a field of really good candidates with interesting ideas on BOTH sides, whom did we choose? The absolute worst of the worst...on both sides. How can we feel sorry for ourselves when we cut our own throat with one hand and tighten the noose with the other? Obviously Americans want to be a third world corporatocrazy or they would have voted some other way, any other way in the primaries.

I meant to say corporatocracy but typed corporatocrazy...Freudian slip I think.

I'm pretty sure our "kids are flippin' DEAD" and dying right now under the current Administrations' imperial foreign policy.
If the government stops demanding I pay a Federal Income Tax on my Creator-bestowed right (not priviledge) to earn a living, exchanging my labor for whatever compensation I've deemed appropriate, then I will gladly decline any Federal Gov't benefits/services that our bungling inefficient Super-Bureaucracy currently mishandles and overspends on.

AND we'll see how well "small government" works when everything from police to roads are privatized...

You make this statement apparently not realizing the Privatization that has been occuring ever since Reagan was in Office.
There are over 150,000 non-government contractors in Iraq providing 'security', and building up new bases and infrastructure for the Imperial Outpost we will leave behind to intimidate the region (if we ever actually pull the troops out).

Sure, you're paying less in federal taxes! Too bad you have to blow your whole paycheck on tolls and paying out-of-pocket for all the services government currently provides,...

Really?, show me where our Federal Income Tax extortion payments are used for any government services.

Face it, people, because it's a damn FACT. Small government of the kind proposed by the Libertarians and the conservative wing of the GOP...
... and, you forgot to mention also, 'by the original framers of the Constitution'!

I've never voted before and I doubt I'll vote this year. The Republicans should be ashamed for not giving RP a fair chance. They'll pay for it the upcoming election. Had he been on the ballot I would have voted for him.

It's going to be like watching people come down from a mescaline trip, ain't it?

Though I woulda liked to see him go to the convention to shoot his party in the foot a little more. Ah well. If your team doesn't get Hillary, I guess it's only fair my team doesn't get Paul.

Taxes are not a moral issue. Saint Ronnie got this idiotic idea stuck in people's heads. * SNIP FOR VUGARITY* The United States is a huge country in terms of land and population. You like being part of a first world country? Then you're going to have to pony up a user's fee. it's just that damn simple.

There are lots of countries with a far lower tax rate than the United States. There's even a few that don't tax the citizenry. Most of these places happen to include grubs as a main source of protein and have some issues with typhoid fever, too. But you're free to go there, keep your money morality intact, and live the dream, baby.

And this situation would have been increased under a Paul presidency. This is not a good thing.

Being a Ron Paul supporter, you're clearly too lazy to look this crap up yourself. Despite your raving, every cent spent by your government is on record and accessable to the public (though often the specifics AREN'T- $500 hammers and the like...) thus allowing creations like this:

www.wallstats.com...

... and, you forgot to mention also, 'by the original framers of the Constitution'!

I'm sure that worked fine back when they only had thirteen coastal states with a grand total of 30 million people to worry about. Wait no, actually it didn't. The strong Federal government came about shortly after the ratification of the Constitution - which in itself granted the government WAY more power than the Articles of Confederacy did.

I know it's shocking, but the "founding fathers" didn't get everything right. They were innovators. So was Edison - and the Edison lightbulb sucks.

BWHAHAHAHA!!! Efficiency is driven by privatisation, not central control - how many examples do people really need before realizing this? Name a single example of a government controlled system that is cheaper, more efficient, and provides a better service/product than a truly competitive market? There are NONE. It's a simple concept - competitive economies and markets have a darwin mechanism that breeds efficiency and choice.

When are you more a slave, browsing the aisle for mp3 players or standing in line at the DMV?

There are other ways to tax besides taxing peoples work. There has to be taxes like property taxes, sales taxes, and should be tariffs considering it is us doing all the consuming. Income taxes are immoral and not needed if the government sticks to what the government should be doing. Im surprised the rhetoric you are spouting considering you are against intervention and policing the world. Maybe you have a little John McCain in you and you now want to flip flop on what you used to be.

So anyone who has any sort of religious inclination is totally worthless as a pereson to you? You're right, that Mohandas Gandhi sure was dumb and people never should have listened to him. Talk about elitism...

Yeah, you mean like Monaco? I know I feel sorry for those poor suckers every single day. Maybe someone should start a charity for them. Yes, I realize Monaco is a principality and not a country, but it is sovreign just the same.

More Disinfo peddling by the MSM and useful idiots who listen to them...

Go to Ron Paul's own website and see for yourself that he did not say he was ending his campaign. He said this (2nd)PHASE of his campaign is winding down and a new more Long Term strategy will be introduced...

Can you spell "Ron Paul Republican"

The Perfect counter to the Neo-CONs

Phase Three is now Beginning - We are through the looking glass here people.

There's not, actually. A country such as ours needs a steady, reliable source of taxes. Pretty much everyone has a job. Fewer people own property. A sales tax large enough to count would cripple the lower income brackets far worse than any income tax. Tariffs? We have those.

What you seem to be saying is that you have no issue with losing the same amount of money to taxes, so long as your paycheck looks larger. That's a little odd.

Income taxes are immoral and not needed if the government sticks to what the government should be doing.

Taxes. Are. Not. A. Moral. Issue.

Where's this coming from? I'm simply stating that you have options other than the US, if taxation pisses you off so greatly. Go to Mexico, they have a really low tax rate.

I too have watched that clip;

In it Ron Paul refers to the viability of the Theory of Evolution a 'theory'

Apparently such talk is blasphemous to Evolutionists.... and I would like to add once more: Ron Paul Has not ended his Campaign. He has entered a new phase.

I did say most, didn't I?

You do of course realize that most of Monaco's services are provided by France, right? Basically Monaco is a resort town for rich French people, supported on the tax franc of the not-so-rich French.
