Hello

This is more of a request than an issue.

I'm not sure how the rollout of ATS 2010 is to unfold, perhaps in the middle of the night when there's less traffic for practical reasons. I was wondering if we as members could get a heads up on the actual date/time (when it is known) so those who wish to be around and logged on for the momentous occasion can have the opportunity to do so.

Some might stay up for weeks on end hoping to catch the moment.

Not me, but some.

Silly me, I didn't think about actually asking for the hallowed date.

Good thing you though of it. I'm getting dangerously low on Cuban espresso.

That'd be kinda cool to actually watch the switchover. ATS/BTS New NEW year.

Oh, oh, me too! I would love to be here for the big moment!

They usually do maintenance on Saturday mornings, I think, or maybe Sundays. So I was thinking it might be during one of those times.

I wish we could know in advance.

As much as I can't wait and try to stay calm for this magical change to happen.

I seem to have missed when this change from old to new is to be expected.
I don't think they will give a date and time for it. It will make the slow hours the busiest ever.

But when ? April, May, June ?

I agree, I want to BE here when the rollout happens, I wanna be the first to delve in and spend 4 hours going over new features and prettier threads.

Come on, one of you knows, and one of you wants to tell us .

But no one knows when exactly apart from the man himself.

Staff does not even know when. Seriously! Its a lot of work and I think it would be impossible to give a date.

I never could wait for anything.
Even when I buy someone a gift for his/her birthday a week before, Ill end up giving it the same day a bought it.

I like the manner in which ATS is moderated well, in order to keep a reasonable level of decorum amongst members.

Therefore it irks me when I see members register names that to my mind at least, appear to willfully lower the tone at ATS.

I have noticed 2 names that fall into this category:

One has a reference to male external reproductive organs.

One has a reference to drugs.

I'm not sure this sort of thing is good for ATS.

This isn't really an issue but more of a suggestion if that’s ok.

But I was curious if there an entire list of FSME's on ATS right now and also how come an FSME doesn't show up at the bottom of the posting screen like they do for the moderators of that forum?

Personally I think it would be a really good idea to add them there or at least make it especially clear who the FSME is of any forum as they are the members who could be especially helpful to newer members (as well as some who are not so new) some of whom have come here specifically for a certain subject, so it may make sense for them to go to the subject matter expert first of all.

Just a suggestion.
