Do you ever feel like you are being quarantined or being watched?
(No its not paranoia!)
I thought today coming home on the train, what if we are all being quarantined by the government, because we are all limited in some way to what we, see,do and hear!
What do you all think?

Your absolutely right, but the government has a hand in it to, by letting these idiot lobbyists get away with this nonsense. Ebonics is a prime example. Rather than teach kids proper English, they allow this ghetto language to be legitimised for fear of offending anyone racially, and it's easier to let it go rather than get shot at by some thug kid with no real inclination to be anything other than a Rap star or gangster. And by ghetto, I'm using the vernacular meaning, not refering to any actual ghetto, eventhough, I suppose that's where it originated.

The latest is that now students are using computer jargon and symbols as part of the written language.

There was a segment on our local news here where educators are concerned because students are using computer abbreviations and symbols, as part of language , and using it in their reports and such.
I can just see it now,... having a smiley face in the websters dictionary, or byb etc. I admit when I write letters I have been guilty of putting a at the end of it myself.

The quarantine comes later. Today, now, right this minute what I am writing is being monitored, perhaps only for certain key words or phrases popping out at cyper-robots. I know and I am proud to share this forum with others who know it too and will continue to speak out until we or the Internet is shut down.
Every phone call I make or receive is also monitored. The cellphone is also a passive GPS unit. For my safety I like it. For my safety, I don't like it. The quarantine comes after the uprising, not before. "We have met the enemy, and it is us" (Pogo cartoon 1970s)

If you've ever heard of the FBI's genie program, my answer would have to be YES. I have my husband check the number of packets we are sending and receiving all the time because my computer will suddenly get super slow. Sometimes there is a reasonable explanation like the antivirus software is downloading an update. But sometimes there is no valid explanation, which is creepy, to say the least. On the other hand, I was just allowed to get a Concealed Weapons Permit, so I guess I can't be all that bad. But yes, I'm outspoken enough that I believe that I am noteworthy.
I also worry about all the cameras everywhere. The ones here are video and I have a hard time believing that they only start up when someone runs a red light.
It's late, so I'm rambling. I'm a conspiracy theorist, and while I don't believe that I've done anything so out of the way as to get me sent to Guantanamo, I do believe that they would feel that they have reason to be concerned. I'm cool with that because I believe that the government should fear its people. I'd rather die free than succumb to their whims.
