The filters used are the ones responsible for the difference.

If, as I suppose, your images are the first two images of that rock, then the first one was taken with a 430nm filter, the second with a 750nm filter.

That means that the first shows what is visible in the violet part of the visible spectrum, the second what is visible in the almost infra-red part.

The closest thing that I can think of is that those things closely resemble magnetized iron filings.
Otherwise, I don't have a clue.

It looks like sand coming out like a geyser. Strange however that they all looked the same. Very interesting. I think other than the Face on Mars these shots have been the most intriguing.

My question is what is evidence to you? Five-sense triggered? Or logical, probability based? If you think it's the latter, than you are extremely lost in regards to your obvious dismisal of ancient civilization. If you think it's the former, than you are lost.

Thanks for your response, ArMaP........would changing the filter make that one rock appear so different while all the others remain relatively the same in both photos? Would it's makeup be different from the others in that location.....?

It depends on the colours of the objects.

As you can see in the images below (although not as extreme as those from the Mars rock, that used the near infra-red and violet instead of red and blue), different filters can make very different images.

Areas that have a more neutral colour (black, grey, white) appear the same regardless of the filter. Areas that have a colour near that of the filter are the ones that make the most difference.

Well, first of all, about half of these pictures looked stupidly photoshopped. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but you guys can't allow yourselves to be so gullible as to these responses I am reading. Sure, I'd like to have proof of water on mars, but these pictures seem just a little too good to be true, do they not? -__-

One quick look at this and I don't even need the second close-up to prove that this is shopped.

With a quick little flick of my tablet and the use of my handy-dandy CS3 I can-EASILY- recreate this effect on a similiar spot of the photo.







I don't even need to re-create these, and you CERTAINLY don't need to be a rocket scientist to see how these are shopped.

Just take a look at the shadows, people. The light source is CLEARLY coming from the north of the photo, meaning that if the shadows were even REMOTELY legit- they would follow the laws of nature and go the opposing way, and not AGAINST the light. It's the same reason you can tell the sand dunes are even sand dunes...

Because they have SHADOWS...
...On the OPPOSITE side of those of the so called 'humans'.


Nonetheless, when it comes to photoshopping, nice photos. -__-

If that is what you think, do you think they do the same to all images?

I'm not going to say who I believe photoshopped these images- but yes, I believe SOMEBODY did and their sources are untrustworthy. Point blank.

Felorah: i wonder what you're trying to tell us:
perhaps that Malin Space Science Systems and/or NASA are photoshopping the photos in order to show us ordinary dust devils and defrozing dunes?
Since you are making these claims, do you have some explanation about the purpose of such a waste of time? Of course i won't ask you for evidences, because it's clear that you are unable to provide them.

Uh Alex....I'll take *Reading The Whole Thread* for a thousand....

We've pretty much already decided the "objects" seen on the dunes are not something taller than the dunes casting a shadow.....

So NASA, or some other agency, well versed in physics, astronautics, mathematics, engineering, logistics......forgot to make the shadows right? Riiiiiiiiiigggghhhtttttt............

Good try guys, but using IAS Viewer, and a few other examiners, it's clear that the image of the so called "door" was doctored, it's so easy to see. Please prove me wrong.

Yes, nature certainly does make rectangles and arcs or semi-circular objects. You can find similar objects on many planetary bodies and if you look somewhere on Earth with a lot of small rocks you can find them shaped like just about everything if you're patient.

Do you think it's a coincidence that these things are always found just at the limits of resolution? It's because your brain is trying to find a signal in the noise.

That's not to say that there never was a civilization or that there isn't life on Mars now, but these photos are not proof of same.

Sorry to be a spoiler but if you adjust the brightness contrast and midtones in Microsoft Picture Manager the door way is clearly a dark spot on a very solid and irregular surface.

It wouldn't matter because NASA airbrushes out anomalous objects in photos (normally). Ex-workers for NASA have attested to this. Alot of time what people see is matrixing due to lighting and color patterns that resemble human faces and familiar objects to the human brain. The problem is that there is proof that NASA has been smudging out strange things in these photos for years.

Also, Look at all the other UFO's which have been directly recorded by NASA, of which, it is obvious they cannot be explained as ice or space junk. We look at this long history of cover-up and NASA disinformation and we end up back where we started anyway because if NASA really has been editing the photos then they are showing us what we want to see. Nothing can be trusted, not the statements, not the photo releases, because the credibility of the very administration is, and should be, in question. Not just because of the airbrushing either..
