Mars, What the hell is going on?

Okay, so with a bit of imagination, the thing in question looks a little like a half-buried coin or slug.

So what is it, really?

Oh, that's right. Nobody knows.

Damn, I keep getting sucked into these things. They're such a vortex of ignorant, baseless conjecture I just can't leave them alone.

Its funny though with all the possible "door" photo's that the doors always seem to be open. I suppose if it is an ancient building though, decay and erosion would explain that.

I see nothing that cannot be explained/debunked by completely normal means. That doesn't mean that what we are seeing now doesn't involve aliens, it simply means that it can be explained with conventional means. Some features are simply sand dunes. Other geographical features on mars are created by water. Sometimes it may be hard to tell between the two but the fact is that we know water once flowed on the surface at some point.

The other photos can be explained as sandstorms and shadows. With Mars NASA likes to stick to their guns with "tricks of light and shadow" when it comes to strange anomalies. The fact is that they airbrush photos all the time. There have even been employees come forward who have admitted to airbrushing moon photos with unknown anomalies before releasing them to the public. IMO Blatant proof of NASA controlling what they want us to know vs what they don't.

With the alien "door" here, I am not convinced this is a door and nothing is pointing to that fact other than a shadow in the shape of what we perceive as a door (With regards to that photo in particular). That's not speculation that's fact. What we need are more detailed, honest photos of the site and honestly I don't trust NASA to even do that..

I think you need you glasses to see the evidence right infront of your eyes!

The more I look at the "door" the more convinced I am that it is a shadow from a thin ridge.
The "coin" is interesting, but again, not definitive. Perhaps the rover could try to displace it or grind it.
The more interesting photo to me was the "sand people." While I don't think they actually depict people, I think it has to be either discoloured portions of rock or, less likely, perhaps something plant like.

I see nothing in these pics that cant be explained as nature. Nature is very geometric, and can trick even those that have a Phd in the field. I dont know why we are so big on getting to Mars when we have not even properly explored the moon or our oceans. Just MHO.

I thought I debunked your ridiculous posts when you supported that F.A.S.T. hoax? When are you going to stop littering this forum with complete and utter nonsense? I DARE one person to back up this guys ridiculous claims of seeing humanoids, people, and technology in virtually every single picture he sees on here. It's seriously getting old quickly.

Rik Riley was debunked a week ago by supporting the F.A.S.T. hoax in which he said he saw "SO MANY HUMANOIDS" in the fake pictures posted here.

Rik, those were models. Everyone else might let this crap slide but it is ruining the REAL research on these forums.

Good thread. Can i emphasise the importance of remembereing that every photograph we are seeing of Mars terrain is in fact a second hand photograph. I make my living changing / fixing / altering photographs, so would suggest that credability is and always will be in doubt. As a topic of discussion my words have the utmost relevance. Where photographic evidence is concerned only believe the photographer if you see the photograph 5 seconds after it has been taken.

Interesting find, especially the dunes, looks like a person praising god or something lol

I agree yes " Huh, that`s weird" isnt it weird to be on mars the image of a door,without you consentrating to hard on the defenition what is a door.

A door is a panel or barrier, usually hinged, sliding, or electronic, that is used to cover an opening in a wall or partition going into a building or space.

So lets call it a door opening!

ridge forms.

Uh yeah, I see unusual stuff in mars images all the time. Sometimes its funny, other times they resemble buildings and whatnot. All in all, its no different than when I look at the clouds and SEE THE SAME THINGS.

The only difference between those of us with common sense, reason an logic ands those of you who see what they want to see is the fact that we can put in perspective things that make you guys fall all over yourselves.

When you want to believe in something so bad, you tend to see things, patterns and such, in lighting conditions or other conditions that only serve to re-enforce your delusions. No different than some religious nut seeing the virgin mary in his or her mash potatoes. Sad, really...things like this make all of us that are interested in seriously evaluating this evidence look to be fools and nujobs. The only thing threads like this serve to do is re-enforce stereotypes of UFO people being cooky.

The strange undulating black forms seem to strongly resemble some sort of plant being blown by the martian winds. Like reeds and other shrubbery near the ocean. Possibly even remains of an ancient forest of some sort. Unless someone has a geological answer, they resemble plantlike protrusions to me.

Its Martian cactuses. Or cacti. Or whatever.

I would say its proof of life. No natural formations look like that. They could be harvested and sold on various 'legal high' websites. I sure as hell would smoke it.

You know, just out of curiosity. Those sand dune pictures with the 'people' like shadows on it. Has anyone by chance taken the grayscale image, planted it into a terragen program, and angled the sun similarly, as to get a 3d outlook on what the actual terrain looks like? Anyone on this planet should know by now that shadows can be VERY misleading.

It's likely some odd wind anomaly we wouldn't typically get here.

Why? Are you suggesting it should be along the lines of a nickname? Like the Crab Nebula? Or the Horsehead Nebula? Clearly those objects are not actually a crab, nor a horsehead, but the name is descriptive and is suggestive of their shapes. I would go along with calling the shape in question, The Doorway.....but it doesn't sit well with me to call it a door opening. Because we absolutely, definitely, positively, certainly, cannot be sure it is in fact a door, doorway, portal, entrance...etc. It's a roughly rectangular dark spot on an image from Mars.
