I have to wonder just how great these two saints are, if they did not even consider what the word of God states regarding the heart? It could explain
why Mother Theresa, before death, had secretly written letters conveying the anguish of her heart and how empty she was, having not felt the presence
of God in her life for years.
Let me point you to another great Saint of God, Paul and what he said about himself, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwelleth no good
thing:..” This great Saint of God, also refereed to himself as Chief among Sinners. What does that indicate? Need for Grace. You look at one
scripture I have posted and assume I am walking around in a defeated, depressed mind set when, the opposite is true, why? Once you make note of your
condition, and see the need for grace, then oh, what a change that takes place within the heart! You are transformed from darkness into light, from
the power of sin and the corruptness of the heart, into a victory of freedom and joy!
As for being closed-minded, in regard toward faith, and becoming open-minded, bad advice. Open the door too wide and you will be swayed by every
appealing thought that comes your way. I know what God has to say regarding the flesh and the heart of man. Even you, regardless of whether you are in
faith or out of faith, should recognize this, just examine your own heart and the
secret things that come out of if, that no man knows, except
you and God. That should be enough to sway you regarding how evil the heart can be. I don’t know why people refute that fact? The evidence is within
you and before your mind. But, the good news is, recognize that fact, and strive for righteousness, and by grace, God will by no means disappoint you.
I am a living example of that! No need to feel sorry for me, for thirty years I have walked in this grace and all I can say, is, look how far the Lord
has brought me and changed my heart!
