According to Enlightened beings such as Buddha consciousness is
ejected out through one of the various orifices at the moment
of death. The best "orifice" is the tip of the crown or crown chakra.
The eyes and ears are considered a good exit strategy the mouth
is a bit too digestive as in the burp of death.
The worst orifice is for A-holes who actually will leave their body
through their A-hole at the moment of death. (Bound for rebirth
as a dung beetle no doubt, this is your next incarnation Dick Cheney.)
Tibetans have a spiritual practice called Powa or Phowa. This practice
involves mastering your consciousness through yoga so that you
can eject your conciousness directly into a higher realm at death.

According to Tibetans many people who are negative are reborn
as animals and often the old wife beating husband will re-incarnate
as the family dog. Whereas kind and compassionate people are
re-incarnated in higher realms such as advanced spiritual planets
where the beings are also kind-everyone has their own starship, is
fed, helps each other and time is devoted to spiritual evolution
toward enlightenment.

Here's a great story-During Buddha's time-around 500 BC there were
many feudal kingdoms. In one such kingdom in India was a King who
was madly in love with his beautiful queen. However this Queen was
extremely greedy and selfish. She used all the kingdom's resources
on servants, spas, jewelry, mirrors with jewels, carriages with jewels
and so on. Meanwhile many in her kingdom were dirt poor and starved
due to her selfishness. One day she died and her consciousness
ejected out her butt. The King was distraught, became depressed.
He found out that there was a wise Sage named Buddha who lived
a few hundred miles away and he went and found him. He wanted
Buddha to tell him where his Queen reincarnated. And he asked Buddha.
Buddha was silent even though he had the power to see incarnations.
The King persisted so finally the Buddha took him into a nearby woods.
Buddha said, "Look down near your feet. See that dung beetle? That is
where your Queen reincarnated. It was her karma. When she was ruling
your kingdom she was greedy and let the people starve. She only cared
about herself was heartless and thusly her karma ripened."

So I don't worry too much about Bush, Rove and Cheney. It doesn't
matter how much money they accumulate-they are headed for butt
ejection at the moment of death only to be reborn as dung beetles.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

That’s a good question and not limited to any one individual. It is directed at all of us. We can all look at the things we do, however good they may appear to us, but in regard to close, in-depth examination, and the things that rise up within us, which things are stemming from the core of our heart, none of us are exempt from the fact of what this scripture is conveying; at the core, every heart is desperately wicked.

Having read your opening post and what has been laid out regarding exit places concerning our body at death and bringing that into the area of reincarnation: the evil individual, making a humiliated exit, being reincarnated as a dog or worse, dung beetle- given the fact that all of us have hearts that are desperately wicked in the eyes of God, I have to arrive at the conclusion, if any of this reincarnation scenario were true, I wager the earth would be filled with more dogs and dung beetles and humans would be a rare species.

I have heard all of this before, a long time ago, and wish it were true.

What about people that are blind or deaf from birth?

Do the orifices for eyes and ears still apply, if they don't mean that much to a person in such a situation?

There is always some sort of little glitch that applies in these wonderful thoughts.

Decades ago I remember reading about someone who carried out scientific experiments on people expected to die. The were weighed before and after death and it was discovered (if memory is correct) that we lose 21 grammes in weight at death.

Sorry I can't link you to the claim but there is a scientific basis for the suggestion.

I don't find it hard to accept that the body is animated by spirit just like my electric jug is animated by electricity when I boil water.

Sounds just like superstition to mean.

It's doubtful that, even if you have a soul (which is unlikely) that it would need to EXIT out of a part of the body. Something in a ethereal since wouldn't be bound by physical properties, now would it?

Why do rocks have magnetism ?

What keeps an electrical charge inside a wire.

When you turn the current off where does the electricity go ?

i like your take on things there, made my laugh, particularly good as I just saw a sad ending to a film.

Holygamer, exiting out of a specific part of the body is not the point of the story, its no more true or false than any other story cant be proven or disproven. the point is to give you a little laugh and to ease your mind, all those bad people will be heading for 'butt ejection at the moment of death'.

You have to have a little laugh at that, and I'm sure the Buddha would approve

I don't think the Buddha wants people laughing at the expense of others, but that might just be me.

I do not mean laughing at the expense of others. Certainly im not laughing at the prospect of Bush, Rove and Cheney being ejected through the butt at the moment of death.

I'm just saying the story its self is a good humorous twist to an otherwise non humorous topic, and that's something I think the Buddha if he were alive today would like to see.

You're take that every heart is desperately wicked is the opposite view
of Buddha's and all enlightened beings. It is not even the view
of great Christian Saints like St Francis of Assisi or Mother Theresa.
I feel sorry for you that you have been brainwashed by negative
conditioning. Humans are so much more than that. The Original Sin
view is a view of mental poverty and is considered wrong view
according to Buddha. Buddha's view is that the primordial state of all beings
is Basic Goodness. Original sin and wickedness are delusions of impure
vision. Here's an example..

When you go to the laundry and wash a dirty white shirt is the dirt
part of the basic state of the white shirt? Of course not that is why
you go to the laundromat to remove the dirt from the shirt. It is the same
with humans-we are essentially full of Basic Goodness but the ego
or separate self accumulates negativity through poisons. The poisons
that cause bad karma and lower rebirths are hate, ignorance & attachment.
Whereas the wisdom that causes higher rebirths and good karma is
compassion, generosity, patience and positive actions and outlooks.

I hope that you are open-minded enough to explore other more positive
views of the human condition. I hope that you do not blindly accept
negative views just because your parents or people in your neighborhood
or your church handed them to you. It's a great mistake to be close-minded
and not experience other views especially when the view that you are
given is that you are wicked-that is so sad. Because if you practice being
kind are you wicked-no. If you are being compassionate-are you wicked
-no. If you save the lives of others or animals that means you are a
great hero who helps others. Where is the evil-heart in that?
Please learn wisdom and abandon wrong-thinking.

I have ONE thought with regard to that - wikipedia,

"And God saw all that He had made, and found it very good. And there was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day." (Genesis 1:31) - Midrash: Rabbi Nahman said in Rabbi Samuel's name: "Behold, it was good" refers to the Good Desire; "And behold, it was very good" refers to the Evil Desire. (It only says "very good" after man was created with both the good and bad inclinations, in all other cases in only says "and God saw that it was good") Can then the Evil Desire be very good? That would be extraordinary! But without the Evil Desire, however, no man would build a house, take a wife and beget children; and thus said Solomon: "Again, I considered all labour and all excelling in work, that it is a man's rivalry with his neighbour." (Kohelet IV, 4) (Genesis Rabbah 9:7, translation from Soncino Publications).[/ex

Say it ain't so!

It is the truth. Even Einstein said "Energy cannot be created nor destroyed."
This applies to life energy too. Who here is smarter than Einstein?
Einstein was voted most intelligent human of the 20th century.

Life energy, soul, consciousness, mind or whatever you want
to call it is infinite and it permeates the universe seeking vehicles
or lifeforms to incarnate in. Since everything is impermanant
and changing -life energy is either expanding or contracting.
This change-the expansion and contraction has causes.

In all these re-incarnation scenarios when the life energy
contracts due to hate, selfishness etc. then the consciousness
cannot have a higher rebirth like a human rebirth therefore
goes down to lower rebirths like animals or insects.

When the energy expands due to compassion, generosity, selfless acts etc.
then the life energy incarnates in more advanced lifeforms-such as
humans or some advanced alien society.

Really if you think about it Satan is a metaphor for lower rebirths in
the animal realm. Satan has cloven hooves, a tail, horns all like an
animal. Over the centuries people have lost the ability to discern
this metaphor and instead they take it literally.

The same is true when one talks about heaven or Pure lands.
These higher rebirths are on more advanced planets and thousands
of years ago they did not have the vocabulary or knowledge of
various planets that contained life. So they just said up there in the
clouds and this stagnated into a lame religious belief.

And to answer your question about blind and deaf-their orifices are
still operable for ejection of consciousness.

Their is only ONE truth and ONE law...LOVE and mind your own f'in busines? I'm just being honest from personal experience, being a worthless slag and all

Mind you f'in business and be concerned about others. Lets leave the multi-national joke of Deity out of the picture for the time being. I wouldn't be able in honesty to speak so boldly if I didn't think that saying God can kiss my ass wasn't appropriate. Suck on that.

get a GOOD look, cause when I'm audi the curtains close for ALL time

Your anger is poison and your devil icon is a projection of your mental
state. Otherwise why from out of all the infinite icons do you choose
evil Satan? I will pray for you that you arise out of your own mental hell
of satanic icons. Hopefully you will one day stop suffering in anger and
learn compassion and open-mindedness. Then you can experience joyful
expansion in your heart instead of contraction and negativity.
To quote Bob Dylan, "...negativity will never pull you through."

Einstein never talked about the lifeforce of a human being. Its true energy is never created nor destroyed, but that doesn't mean it retains its shape and form. Matter if lit is transfered into energy of heat, but that doesn't mean that energy has maintained the essence of the object.

For what we know, the human body is all there is. We are the synapsis within our brain (not the transfer of electrons in between)

When our brain dies, so do we. Forever.

My beautiful brother! That's it, I lOVE you, don't you see? What I hate is the wretchedness that the world has become KNOWING the testimony of Jesus Christ. Self serving, blankty, blanks.

The result, my holiness is compromised - a BEAUTIFUL holiness. A kind, compassionate, caring, altruistic nature made void because of selfishness. HATE is to tame a word for what I feel towards self serving people. Why, because I hate myself. Chew on that.

It shouldn't be...The creature was created not by ANY fault of it own but by fault that the same should LEARN to achieve equivalence with GOD in the form and likeness of his SON J.C.

Guess what - It didn't work. Should I lament or cry? Nope, more like kick *SS and take names. Call me SATAN, that might be accurate because I often feel like every-f'in-thing rests on me? I got a witness who digs in my side whenever, whenever - keeps mer humble and bootlickin' she gets a kick out of it i'm sure. NOT ME. I'm all about freedom, for everyone, period.

I'm happy I got you to rethink and change your icon.
Now if your mind can go from anger and negativity to joy
and compassion we'd really be getting somewhere.
